Fellow Caliber owner, 8 minutes in this video makes me want the srt-4 version even more.
SRT has made a lot of legendary vehicles. I had a single cab 2006 Viper truck for a couple of years and it put a smile on my face every time I drove it.

Owner's Agony haha yeah and it was also dangerous on rainy days no matter how you cut it. Eventually the novelty wears off and you get something else.
I'd love to drive one just for the hell of it. Personally I enjoy balanced cars but ain't nothing wrong with putting the biggest engine you have into whatever shell is available. Except, perhaps, the gas mileage.
Owner's Agony agreed! It is a American legend that truck. The transmission is a blast to shift and has proper gearing as well for what it is. The 06 had the "facelift" and came with the bed cover standard, so the wing was mounted on that. A fun truck for sure. Now Ford has the 750 horse Shelby F150, but its huuuge. Nice talking to you dude and you have one of the best looking Calibers that I have seen.

The dart and 200 were bad quality but the 200 was offered in a V6 with AWD and was faster than many 1st gen Hemi cars
I was told by a higher up in the company that the reason they didnt make it was because they couldnt make one and meet the EPAs MPG standard for their lineup if that car was made. Shame.
Aluminum block 6 speed and another 300 pounds are the biggest differences between the caliber and the neon ..... still take a neon over the caliber for racing but as a daily what improvement the caliber is over the neon .... love the drop down speakers by the way

I used to own the same srt4 as yours i had a stage two chip and cold air but nothing drastic. I absolutly love the rag top! Up here in saskatchewan i wanted a moonroof but i hit a moose and well.. I lost that battle. I would like to find another 2008 again tho. Such a fun car.when mine passed away i had 310000kms on her. She treated me well

Hey there. I've been trying to do a lot of research with not much luck. With the work you guys have done I feel like you might have an answer. What is the difference between a SRT4 caliber block and a 2008 dodge avenger 2.4l block? from the looks of things they share the same block and it looks like the SRT4 caliber engine would bolt right into a 2008 dodge avenger. If i pulled the engine, wire harness, ecu, and getrag 6speed out of a caliber would i be able to bolt it right in? Does anyone else have insight into this? Thanks.

i got my 08 csrt 6 months ago love it got it for 6500 up here in indiana...same as this one as far as mods ms1k v3 tune 3 inch downpipe and exhuast all the way back..mine is sunburst orange 148k miles definetely underrated i can find few things around town that can run with it

I almoust thought you were mistaking the Dodge caliber for being a van. i was about to say that it isnt but i noticed it looks different than others, the rear door looks a little bigger than i remember, but it might be the camera. For the people that are about to think the car comes like this and calls it a van, its a small compact SUV. It looks like a hatchback but it isnt really, you could call it a crossover hatch. You could look it up if you want to (no hate intended)

It's funny he starts talking about the LED's and the Q45 Projectors that are retrofitted into the OEM Headlight housings, and the Guy filming changes back to engine questions. As Someone who has retrofitted tons of friends cars and done retrofits on all my cars and almost all have had more than 1 setup out of pure love for the hobby. I always get a little sad when people don't seem to care about the work behind the lighting. It's such a nice modification that when done right can really bring a car build together. Plus who doesn't want to be able to see further anyways!? Regardless, I don't know if they guys interviewing didn't hear him, or didn't know what he was talking about...I still give him a pass because he probably wanted to focus on the go fast goodies. Very nice Caliber SRT4 though!
Chrysler's are not perfect. Give them time attention and the pay off is huge. Coming from a PT with stage 1 and a 5spd. A guy in a v6 rustang tried me today. I didn't even give him a thought. Would have been done by 2nd gear in the PT.
+mmmadog Smith the only time and attention a pt deserves is at the scrap yard - to salvage the wasted sheet metal. Also, if you evaluate your car by racing v6 mustangs I wouldn't even know where to start with your priorities.
if you think youre smoking a v6 mustang in a pt youre insane, not the 2011+ v6s at least.
Peter Windisch well some of the PT's had the SRT4 drive train in the GT trim so tuning capabilities and aftermarket are pretty huge as well.. but idk they're so butt ugly and look like they have Down syndrome I would never own one lmao
Nice CSRT4. I just paid mine off early Feb and had it for 6 years. I think I'm the 3rd owner and bought it when it was a hair under 30k miles. But I will say, other than a Diablotune, finding the MS1 or the MS1K is a work. All I want is a tune because it is my DD. I'm not looking for a 400+hp deal, but I'll be happy with 320-350hp.

My question is how much do you think the insurance would be for a 21 year old female to own an srt4? My insurance is current $70/month just for the SE model.
