After staying up most of the night and doing nothing the day after, just feeling horrible and sorry for for myself, I remembered this video. This animation. Took me a while to find it but when I finally found it...man...did it help. I may have fallen, but I’m gonna he get back up and work even harder! I’ll get that degree and become an engineer some day. And TBH, I know they love me back. But I feel kinda awkward and distant from them. We rarely talk, maybe it's their job or my forgetfulness. But this isn't about me, your comment is the main topic ! I hope you moved on peacefully and is happy doing animations, when you bumped into hard times, remember to not look down and not give up hope ! • No its just a typical 'Fú' character. I have one in the living room, doesnt nessesarily need to be chinese new year. It means fortune/luck/happiness. And then some chinese families like to hang it upside down. And upside down in chinese is dào. So it reads Fú dào. Its a word play, dao means upside down but also sounds the same as 'arrive'. So it means 'Luck/furtune/Happiness Arrives'. Hope you guys find learning languages is fun because they cant be fully translated, you need to be fluent in both languages to get the full meaning.

  • I think that important theme in this cartoon is careerism and inability to control it. Some people want to live a bright and flaming life so much so they lose the patient and real(in my opinion) part of life which is simple social interactions, love(yep) and just state of being lazy. I am not saying that career goals and stuff like that is not important and cant give pleasure and happiness. I am saying that the balance between these two edges is, in some way, the ultimate way to live a life.

The hard divide between the lamp in the dining room and the stairway in shadow always conveys moments when Luna and her father are close and when she isn't, and then having the lamp turned off for the father's death, as if all life in the house had disappeared. Everything about this is relatable and everything about this is beautiful. It gives me hope for the future and strength to endure whatever life hits me with. I really hope this one wins at the Oscars, but even if it doesn't, know that you've touched millions of hearts.

  • Filmnya sangat menginspirasi!

    • This is why cliches are useless to point out, it's incredibly difficult to come up with a story that's truly original, most of them have been done already. Stories should be looked at for execution, not originality.

It struck well with my heart as I am very close to my father. It shows well that you shouldn't give up and must push forward, especially if it's for someone or something that you love.
