Fight Rivalry: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook (The Full Story)

2022 ж. 30 Қаң.
708 303 Рет қаралды

A detailed look at the fierce rivalry between Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
Amir Khan, the Olympic sensation that turned national hero at the tender age of 17. With a silver medal in hand, to then later capture Gold as a unified world champion. He takes on Kell Brook - the talented welterweight from the Steel City of Sheffield, patiently waiting to settle a career-long vendetta
Two boxing rivals with a contrasting rise to the top of their sport, but bound together by a common cause - a genuine dislike towards one another. And the tension, animosity and disdain for one another will finally boil over on February 19th, in front of a packed A.O. Arena in Manchester.

  • Khan doesn’t get the respect he deserves post Prescott. That kind of brutal knockout loss ends careers. And if it doesn’t end someone’s career it ruins them, they become gunshy, they become scared to exchange. A recent example is AJ who lost to USYK because he was too scared to press him, because he was still struggling with that fear surrounding being hurt like he was against Ruiz. But Khan is in that small percentage of exceptional fighters (another being Pacquiao) who despite being brutally stopped still pick themselves up in their comebacks and aren’t afraid to fight or mix it. No one thought Khan would ever win a world title after Prescott but he went and did that. And then he even unified. The same people mocking him for being a glass chin are the same kind of people who will drop that rocky quote of ‘it’s not how many times you get knocked down but how many times you get up”, yet Khan is living proof of that statement.

As for you, GP, I still miss the old highlight videos...they were goddamn poetry, but this was great work nonetheless. Many channels do the same kind of work, but being a true perfectionnist, this is a level above the competition. PS : Don't think we didn't recognize the footage used for the maidana part was exactly the same as your old Khan-Maidana preview...but since it was one of your best pieces of work, still loved it.

    • Almost certainly won't go the distance... Someone's getting stopped! Would have fancied Brook strongly a few years back because he had the timing, speed & chin to beat Khan but Khan's always gonna have faster hand speed and will probably win the opening rounds and land more. From round 4 or 5 on it all depends on what they both have left. And also if Brook's damaged eye plays a part. Both at their prime I'd say Brook KO between 5-8 but now I'd say it's definitely a 50/50... They are both on the decline, the question is who has declined the most? • Khan's over-inflated ego has been the cause for his difficulty in following a strategy & game plan. He is a boxer-puncher but his machismo means he stays in the pocket too long & gets caught......as against Garcia. He is very sharp & his punch power is underestimated but his opponents show little respect for his power &, knowing his punch resistance is his vulnerability, they can afford to be aggressive looking to land 1 decent punch.

  • If Khan boxes like he did against canelo & maidana....speed kills...he looks determined in all his interviews 🤔 but time will tell. But those haters like Froch... Khan hasn't ducked any fights....he always fought with big heavy handed guys....so those haters who say Khan is afraid of Brook is BS. Kell always wanted a big payday...kell never got the limelight, money 💰 etc

  • Brilliant. It’s funny how Kell has always talked about a lack of respect but as far as I remember and what this video shows in it’s edit is Kell was the one constantly saying stuff after his wins about destroying Khan and “taking his chin clean off” 😂. Fact is Kell has been jealous of Amir’s successes, that’s not to say I don’t think he could or would have beaten Khan. Khan was fighting big names on big shows in the states, why would he risk fighting a dangerous opponent who at the time had barely fought anyone? Especially given the complete lack of respect from Kell. It’s a business after all.

    @djairalert422@djairalert4222 жыл бұрын
    • Glass jaw and only been KO’d 2 times in 40 fights! Once when he was 20, and the other time when he moved up 2 weight classes to fight Canelo. Khan has beaten over 10 world champions, Olympic Silver Medalist at age 17, 2-time-world-champion at age 24, won some big fights in Vegas and New York against the likes of Maidana, Malignaggi and Judah. Made over 60 million dollars. Aint that crazy? The man had a “glass jaw” and still achieved more then 99.99% of all boxers. Its crazy how hate and criticism gets thrown around when you perform at an elite level. No surprise tho, we see it in the NBA all the time, one bad game from Kyrie and all the bums come outta their shell to talk 💩 on his skills.
