This hour long independent film was made by Thalana high school students in Sibongile, a small township outside Dundee, South Africa. It provides a unique first-hand look into life in "the location". Zulu dialog with English subtitles.

Thanks for sharing this,as it represents the reality in our society,i grew up in a similar situation,although i cant claim to be on the mountain as yet,but iam better,fortunately some kids are able to reflect on my successes from the humble beginnings,God sanctified me and preserved me throghtout those circumstances,so i may become a beacon of hope to the hopeless

Those social workers have some balls, shut down the party and everyone walks away with something to think about, regardless of how dismissive they were, that message will be there. Cool story.
This video is basically on our sociaty and such things are for real we shouldn't be running away from the truth i am the Township gal and i know..so we shouldn't be looking at the type of the filming "GETS THE MESSAGE"
Well I couldn't stopped watching it because I thought maybe it will bring something powerful, I understand you are still learners you never attended "Drama College" so u can't be professional actors. I advice you to make a film that will be inspiring, motivating and powerful not to the youth only but even to adults inside and outside the country, stop showing other countries as if our townships are like this, your film must not be about crime, sex, alcohol, and stuff, try to make a film that will demonstrate how leaners who committee themselves to school and school activities live a grateful life, a film that will focus on Self-Management, Self-Development.. Please!

am watching this in SA ... and this is not a movie its someshit that every country does for their local flip drama/story/etc....so don't watch this and think that this is what we do in SA...its some flip stories for their local ghetto interest this is not professional thank you
I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Of course it is not professional: it was made by high school kids in the location and represents their life in SA. If you're trying to say that location life is not an important part of SA life, then you may want to get to know your fellow countrymen and women a little better.
lol funny movie ,how can social workers be so unprofessional when solving societies matters...any way i like the idea of the movie but needs some improvement
