    • I think she wasn't heartbreaker because her heart was broken before she could be heartbreaker. Everybody watch her like a sexual object, and bad thing in that is that she is a good person and she will help everyone. She should be one of the "fuck off" gurls and she will be heartbreaker. She was so good, healthy, happy girl and than one thing happen and broke her. Btw she looks stunning

  • You know, everyone now hates Cassie (I feel like more than Nate) but they forget that this is a girl with a drug addict father who tried to please every guy in her life and on top of that after an abortion. Cassie is lost and alone. Everyone just judges her but no one has asked her how she feels and if there is anything they can do to help her. "Daddy Issues" is not a trend. It's a horrible life of crying and nightmares. The feeling that no one will love you or think you're good enough.

She's the perfect representation of we accept the love we think we deserve, and her reactions to all the situations are so raw. Like she's so fed up with the things around her and is walking on the path of self destruction unintentionally.

I could never do what she did to my best friend but you have to understand that her constant need for male validation is a very serious issue and i think although what Cassie has done is really bad she does have her reasons. they are not excuses but they are reasons.

So instead of her taking a backseat w toxic love, they amplified that part of her character. Post her dad leaving she is wearing blue in the stall when she’s crying to show she’s sad. Throughout her relationship with Mkay she starts off with different coloured outfits but as their relationship went into decline she wore blue most of the time. But in the end when she has had the abortion and she says she’s no longer in love with anyone at the dance, her dress is pink, showing the start of her happiness for herself and not just with other people. I literally will always pick the color gray in everything I buy whether it’s a shirt or a car or even the color of the walls in my house. All different shades of gray. Gray is associated with a lack of emotions, numbness, and detachment. Which is pretty much spot on. Everyone has a certain color that they “favor”. I always thought “this is what men want” so I did what I did in order to get their attention just be disgusted with myself later and now I fear I’ll live a life with nobody to die with❣️❣️ (not saying you need that to live a happy life but it’s just the thought of not being loved at all, even if that means not loving yourself)

You just want to be loved and have something special with someone so bad that you over give and tolerate such poor treatment. It really wrecks your self esteem which only makes your desire for love and validation worse. It's a hard place to be.

  • I’ve never related to a character so much in my entire life . Many people can view this show as disturbing , or too raw. But this show has created a platform for people to be able to relate themselves in every story , Rue having a drug addiction , her relapsing and having an overdose , but also hating herself & hating life even tho she’s young & hides behind her humor and bluntness but she’s really hurting inside , Jules who is transgender and lives with a supportive parent, but is very naïeve and innocent which in return has unfortunately lead people to manipulate her and use her because of her innocence , then you have Cassie who has a huge heart but carries a lot of sadness because she doesn’t see her self worth beyond being sexual and pleasing her lover who really loves her for her but can’t get over her past of being sexually active, which i know a lot of women get shamed for , she grew up with an alcoholic father which affected her and her commitment to men , she clearly doesn’t value herself the way she should and seems to always feel disappointed in herself , then you have Maddie who grew up very independent, wanting a life for herself and not having to answer to anyone , but allows herself to be in an abusive relationship because she also struggles with self worth and identity , she came from a home where she didn’t not see a loving marriage or relationship , she holds all this anger inside of her and loves Nate but she is blinded by who he really is so it’s a vicious cycle of abuse , you have Nate who is clearly a very damaged individual who is sexually confused and dealing with identity crisis, he has this self hatred for him self so he takes out on more vulnerable people like Jules and maddy, he feels he has no control over himself so he finds power in controlling others , this show has made so many people including myself a sense of comfort by knowing that although these issues are not to be glamorized. They show how people can be affected by identity crisis , abuse , addiction , depression , anxiety , loneliness , self hatred. , this show gives us the ugly truth about our demons but non the less can make someone not feel so alone for just a brief moment and feel understood

Her dad was the cause of her daddy issues causing her to seek male validation. Between her daddy issues, her mom, and her past relationships she had a hard life. I don’t think every that has happened excuses ALL of her actions but I do believe it helps explain a lot and we can’t just ignore all that. Thank you for coming to my ted-talk
