Mcdavid casually averaging 3 ppg
He's on a master level, and Edmonton will need this to acheive 16 wins.
One game at a time, the Oilers do have a Jekyl/Hyde personality, they can be dominant one game, then be completely passive the next. I am always afraid of what team I am going to be watching whenever the game starts.
Absolutely! Im a lifelong fanboy and if there is one thing that scares the he🏒🏒 out of me is that exact personality! LOL. It has aged me considerably...HAHA!
Copy that I think they'll suddenly get traction and start dominating every game
its ok i wont be listening to any of the games from this point forward. (we have lost every game ive listened to or watched in the last 4 years.) i listened to the first 5 minutes in game 2, i apologise.
Even when the kings had the 1-3-1, Oilers still scored and literally walked over it.
Outdated defensive strategy vs fast modern teams
@@edited1325 plus the oilers had set breakouts specifically to counter the 1-3-1
@@shabazzed you either beat it with speed or slick puck possession OR for best results beat it with both
that one Hyman goal was slick! between the bar and body.
Its been pretty clear which team has been better even though its only 2-1. Edmonton is the far more skilled team and now that they are perfectly familiar with the way the Kings play they cant really surprise the Oilers. At this point it feels like the Oilers have it in the bag as long as Skinner doesnt start playing like a Junior B goalie. It still surprises me how good Kopitar and Doughty still are, but man that trade for Dubois really sank the team. With Iafallo and Vilardi in the Kings are a real challenge. But as it stands this Kings team really is outmatched.
The whole league forgets Oilers are the #1 team after the coaching change. Getting Corey Perry is also not talked about enough!
Paul Coffey!
Oilers pk is 100% in 3 games and the pp is near 70%
cant depend on it though, thats how they knights beat us last year by being disciplined and cutting off most of the production
Whats with hyman playing like an absolute god😂
its cause he is rich
he's been doing this all season, but people seem to still be surprised by it. maybe thats part of it, with mcdavid and drai, teams are so focused on them, and he gets lost in coverage.
It's the McDavid affect for sure. I won't take credit away from players from working hard - but why do you think Jari Kurri, Mark Messier, Glenn Anderson, and Paul Coffey had the careers they had? Because they were able to take their game to the next level learning from Gretzky! Why do you think Draisaitl, RNH, Kane, and Hyman are doing what they are doing - watching McDavid. Any Leaf fans here? Did you ever see Hyman skating full speed around the net stop on a dime and reverse his direction ala McDavid while playing in Toronto? Watch these guys and how they skate - they have learned from McDavid it's so obvious, but McD won't win MVP - Matthews will lmao
Hyman the Pylon. 😄 Dont get me wrong, he's a good player. But he's like Jari Kurri. Good player..25 extra goals per year bc of who he plays with.
@@KptKrunch9481Ah, ya beat me to the punch I see. Good call though.
Pretty much why Vegas tried very hard to lose the final game of the season, Kings was also trying until that "lucky bounce" goal.
Imagine Leon and Ovi on the same power play? Germany from the west, Russia from the east… goalie feeling like Fucken Poland.
Oilers are playing like a Stanley Cup contender! They can play the high scoring run and gun game and the defensive locked down game. It a good sign when a team can play any kind of game and win. 👍🏼
Fans were walking out🎉
LA FAN were walking not oilers ❤
I noticed that half the seats were empty with ten minutes left, they gave up on their crap team
Yes. Agreed. The probable future of the Oilers making the second round is indeed high.
After McDavid got checked from behind it was no mercy
As a kings fan after watching the game highlights the best way I could describe that game was “unfair”. The kings were just worse, they couldn’t score, they were slower and they couldn’t stop the oilers offense. It felt like a complete mismatch. I hope that they can bounce back after that loss.
The kings lost 8-2 in game 3 to the oilers and bounced back with a shutout in game 4, but cam talbot is not capable of doing that sadly
This video could have been 30 seconds.
The Kings were expected to be very good defensively, but they and the Jets are worst in the league for goals against now. The Jets! Hellebuyck, the favourite to win the Vezina, is giving up so many goals, just like Talbot. I like Talbot. But he's giving up so much. And the Kings have been giving the puck away so much. Their own defense is betraying them. But the Oilers know their system so well that they can't stop them. Game 2 could've gone either way, but the Kings couldn't keep the lead.
I think the Kings and the Jets are just victims of their match ups. They're both playing against not only the 2 best offensive teams but the 2 teams with the best playoff performers of the generation.
From Vancouver, I am routing for Canada's best chance: Conner McDragon.
just imagine if the oilers didn’t blow game 2 in overtime. we’d be looking at a 3-0 lead with a game 1 and 3 domination
but its not so you are probably looking at a 2-2 series where experience and leadership will make the difference sending McDiva golfing as always while the mens fight for the cup.
@@mikescorpio13lol dude stop trolling
@@mikescorpio13 think you mean a 3-1 series lead where the disciplined oilers dunk the whiny, undisciplined, lowly kings back into toilet bowl
@@Smallerexia guess we will see in few hours.... 5-2 Kings FTW
@@mikescorpio13 in all honesty, that probably should have been the score tonight
This game is what happens when the freaky weird stuff like the oilers own goaling off defenders or d men's sticks breaking at the worst moments doesn't happen. You can't rely on puck luck to beat teams as good as the oilers.
I feel like you didn't express quite how much the Oilers cooked.
Great now all the money is on them now they'll lose tonights game.😂
Now its 3-1 for edmonton in the series
After last game i think Stu Skinner is locked in. Like the start of the season you could see last years playoffs shook him and i could tell he felt pressure the first 2 games. He played unreal last game he is dialled. LA is one of the best defensive teams in the league including PK and they are getting bullied by Edmonton. Oil in 6
Credit to the Oilers. They are the better team. But the Kings came out flatter than a pancake from the start last night. Very sloppy with the puck. Kept turning it over. Haven't scored yet on the power play. Just being thoroughly outplayed.
Can’t give Edmonton credit hay. Why do you think they can’t score on the pp maybe because Edmonton pk is pretty good maybe their D is better then LAs
@@ryans413 i literally said "credit to the Oilers. They are the better team."
I'm from Edmonton go Oilers .. but this king's ten is resiliate we know this peddsle to the meddle and play smart let's go oil don't take it easy on the king's
Brain hurt
The Oilers seem to be in a pretty good place. They may be just hitting their prime, as a unit. And they are indeed, a Unit.
My German Boy Leon hast the cleanest one-timers Outfits there
And he shall be Leon ...
I think the kings gave up before game 3 even started , if somehow they become the team that was #1 in every category basically through the first 35 games , or any way able to tie the series , then it changes everything
I’m cheering for the oilers but I love how doughty is chirping out there. He’s like, “yeah? How many cups you got buddy? That’s right..”
That’s what guys say when they know they have no chance at winning another.
@@justinsykes1497 truth!
Kings deserve it for trying to cheese system play
Could be worse !!! You could be the leafs
the kings have a 0% chance to win the first round. why is anyone surprised
Bro it's 2-1 in the series. Anything can still happen.
But, you need to remember that this guy is an idiot
Oilers can win it all if defense and Skinner play. (And they dont get goalied, since offense is their main weapon. Their mentality isnt to defend, its to just score more than the opponent.
this is the most defensively sound oilers team of the mcdavid era
@shabazzed Yrah a lot of people still think the Oilers are all offense but they were one of the best defensive teams since the coaching change. Too many folks still going on hearsay and old highlights. That's why I don't act like I know everything about a team when I haven't even watched the games.
All cool stats but we're in the playoffs and Skinner still can't crack the top 10. He really needs to buckle down, like he did last night if they're going to go far this year. The AV's and Oilers both have 17 goals so far, and the AV's were facing Helly........
Helly 8:36 hasn’t played as well as Skinner.
Wrong. They've both allowed the same amount of goals and Helly has faced more shots.
My other favorite team good job go oilers
cant wait for next game update when the Kings beat the Oilers easily 6-2 hahaha lucky if they can get past the Kings imagine vs Colorado or Vegas hahaha
Put down the cradkpipe b4 your mom comes downstairs ands busts u 😂😂
The Oilers look for real this year.
the king is dead ....too soon
its regicide
things will probably cool down
You are not good at this.
Elaborate
@@a.N.....shouldn’t need to.
You are the absolute worst homer….
pretty sure this guy is a HONGCOUVER fan
He literally cheers for an Oilers rival lol
He's not an Oilers fan man.
