  • Now I know why Calgary wanted to trade him. He went out there and said the same thing about Calgary.

  • I'm a diehard Oilers fan who has never lived in Edmonton. I can assure him that I have plenty to do here in Seattle but I'd rather watch my team beat him with "just one line." :-)

  • I'd like to have a smart troll on Z's comment but, in the winter, he's pretty much right. There are other things to do but for the most part it's nothing you can't do anywhere else, just you can do it warmer or (if there's a warmup) cleaner.

  • No game plays in ugly way if officiating is fair. If not, games tends to go to more violence way (eg. Steve Moore incident)

  • I lived/worked there for 10 years (81 to 91). I have to admit, hockey was a big part of Edmonton culture but .... that was easy - a given, considering "that" team. Although I am now a Canucks fan living in Vancouver, I do think that Edmonton fans are once again fortunate to have such a dynamic team. Sure, there's far more to do (and see) here in Vancouver but when I watch the Canucks - it all goes away.... same for an Oilers fan?

  • he's right. it's 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad sledding in edmonton, alberia. the sticks they use now allow a quick release hard shot with a flick of the wrist. not the lumber of lundqvist's days. go get a manicure, henrik.
