They pause for 10 seconds after getting a pass then think what to do, make the game slow. No counter attack. I hope Countinho Adapts soon cuz he's the only future of Barca's old playing style. Also when coutinho and dembele arrived they don't need him so much in attack as in defense. It’s been 3 years and Barcelona hasn’t found the Xavi replacement yet , that’s why Barcelona is finding it difficult in the last 3 UCL. Messi has to play both Xavi role and his own role, 2 roles at the same time which doesn’t let him unleash his full potential on attacking front. Meanwhile, Madrid has a solid midfield in Kross and a Modric all these years, letting them reap through teams in the UCL, although for some reason severely poor performances on La Liga having won only 2 in the last 12 years.
RM are incredibly lucky in the UCL and not without the help of referees ... it is different tournament effort psychology . Only champions should play in UCL IMHO other wise luck can decide in one game the outcome ... If they have top 20 teams in one league playing against each other and winning by points the UCL . I don't think RM would have been that lucky .
