If you don’t have a really good idea and someone who agrees though it seems to usually backfire horribly. Also if the triforce doesn’t exist the world starts to fall apart which is really the more important part.

Twilight Princess was my first Zelda, which made the ending very confusing. I remember thinking, "Why was the villain replaced with another villain with the same goals and personality? Why is this person with three minutes of screentime being treated like Link's best friend and possible love interest? And why was the game named after her?"
tp was also my first zelda, but i was also a child who was bad at reading. most of the game didnt inspire any emotion to me until the very last min when midna left. i had no idea what was going on the entire time, but even the ending still made me sad. i would replay the final boss over and over again to make myself sad LMAO

Personally, I really like the motion controls. It's one of my favorite things about the game.
I replayed it last month after like two years and I finally understood why it's so polarising.
I HOPE TO GOD they make a HD remake of skyward sword for the switch, plus they can finally improve the motion controls now.
I think the motion controls are fine, I don't get why people find them bad. I used a blue Wii Remote Plus, so maybe my experience may be different than others, but I still think the combat system was my favorite thing about it. Made boss fights a lot more fun IMO.

@@theeclipsemaster yep I'm a lot better now than I was 2 months ago. Now after about 30 hours I get excited whenever I see a guardian because of ancient parts. I pull out my hylian shield and Parry and its all good. I now get excited about lynels because after 50 hours they are pretty easy to kill. I killed my first silver lynel yesterday. Fairly easy, took me longer than a white tho lol

Recently I've been hearing Link noises from my parents' bedroom, but whenever go to check on it, I find all the decor shattered and our emergency rupees stolen. Mother has been suffering from heavy depression ever since grandma's vases were destroyed. They were all we had left of her and now it's all gone. Father asked the guards for help, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Some protectors of the people they are... If this continues I don't know how our family will survive the winter...

The representation of the goddess was perfect, I freaking hate her. Like, I played the game and she was like 'oh, you've just gone through a really hard challenge that took many amounts of your hearts and almost made you feel like smashing your remote in half! Well fuck you coz you need to do three more of those challenges to only end up with getting one heart container!' And like, with BoTW it was like 'Oh yeah, I’m not gonna tell you the location of the sword you gotta find that yourself' you get to the forest 'oh yeah, you gotta go through that forest that'll send you right back at the start if you do a wrong turn' and you then get to the sword pedestal 'oh yeah, after all of that you still need thirteen hearts for this, which means that you have to do 52 shrines all together, have fun!'😂
You don't necessarily need that many shrines since you get a Heart Container after each Divine Beast. Also, since you already start out with 3 hearts, it's only 40 shrines. Still not great though I'll admit.

The main characters in Zelda games don't have personalities by design. They're archetypes. If you want personality, look to the side characters.

Zelda is usually way badass in other games too. She is a fighter princess who sacrifices for her people in TP, she is Sheik in OOT, a Phantom in Spirit Tracks, A Pirate in Wind Waker, A Goddess in Skyward Sword. Actually BOTW Zelda one of the most naive and young ones
Still not as good as Ocarina of Time
Zelda is totally a damsel in distress, though. Sure, she has a bit more agency in that she's holding Ganon back instead of simply being locked in a tower, but saving Zelda and Hyrule are still the two top priorities of the game. It's only window dressing.
Ocarina of time is the single worst main series zelda game. It introduced most of the terrible features that plagued the series until breath of the wild. Navi, z-targeting, low framerate clunkily telegraphed combat based on memorization instead of mechanical skill, rehashing the same items from a link to the past (you could possibly blame a link to the past for that, but the items were fine, it was the rehashing endlessly that was bad), collectathon side quests. One of the worst sins I cannot blame on OOT unfortunately. The original zelda was this open world like Breath of the wild. Zelda 2 was somewhat open but gated a lot of areas off with progression items and spells. This too I hope is finally dead after Breath of the wild.

Figured it out yet? Basically, theres these three gods who are like “lets create the earth and this cool artifact and a god to protect it” and the goddess they created reincarnates herself and also chooses some other dude as a hero, who defeats this dude named demise, who wanted the triforce, but demise reincarnates himself as ganondorf. Zelda and link continuously reincarnate, and the same ganondorf always tries to get the triforce and Link and zelda defeat him except for like once. That’s just a simplification, tho. Each game has it’s own story, then there’s the seperate timelines, THEN there’s the Wild universe, which would take 2 hours to explain across just two games, but whatever
Long story short, it's one of the earliest action rpgs series. Generally Legend of Zelda's come in 2 flavors: top down 2D Action RPG and 3D Action RPGs. They're generally solid games that keep a fairly high standard of quality throughout the series, so its hard to go wrong when picking up a Legend of Zelda title (unless you somehow own a Phillip's CDI console, but if you know what that is then you don't need me to explain what LoZ is). Most titles emphasize exploration and collecting tools to solve puzzles and open new paths to explore. Zelda games tend to be fairly light on story elements, but it also doesn't waste your time (for the most part). So yeah, that's about all I got for ya. You'll never be as confused as everyone of us was when we first found out that the boy we're playing as isn't named Zelda. By the way, as someone pointed out, the games are all good, but I'm going to share with you the ones you should save for last: The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of *HYAAH!* for NES. A *HYAAH* to The Past for SNES. Majora's Mask for Nintendo 64 and 3DS. And maybe even Breath Of The Wild. I mean, it's great and you should try it out, but it has nothing to do with how the other Zelda games work. It's like the Ocarina of Time of the generation born after Ocarina of Time was released.

I'm playing SS rn and I do like it, tho I'm not very fond of the Silent Trials, or whatever trials I'm doing rn after completing my Master Sword to get the Hero's Song, they are SUPER ANNOYING. Overall it is a good game.

She was wise to surrender her kingdom rather than try to fight Zant and have people be killed, and she was giving in that she gave Midna some of her life energy, because she knew Midna was needed more in order to fight against Zant.
