    • @@countzero1136 I don't think RGB was ever actually good, personally. It seemed like an industry-fueled viral trend to spend a significant amount more money for things that included cheap LEDs soldered in. I really did not ever understand why it got so popular. Many of my earlier fans that included LEDs mounted in them, I literally just ripped them out myself. I like quiet, stately devices, not tacky disco light shows. So, I like this case build, but calling it a "wooden" build when the majority of it is still probably plastic and metal is kind of... odd. I wish the case actually had more wood, although I guess then it would be incredibly heavy, depending on type of wood used. Also kind of awkward for building with, because then you couldn't ground yourself to the case while putting parts in.

  • I think a trick was missed with the GPU wooden block cover. There are some wooden tables that have a natural gap(s) running down the length of the table, that are filled with coloured epoxy resin, giving them a cool effect (like a river running down the middle). Similarly, it would have been cool if the middle of wooden GPU block was filled with clear resin/epoxy, so you could see the water flowing inside.

  • The walnut on the water block will take more work and a better quality wood than the slats in the case. The case slats can basically be put through a moulder and basically off to finish. The block will have been machined and the tolerances to get the face flush with the block are more difficult because or the nature of wood. That's the simple version. I am guessing they used an adhesive to ut the walnut on the block. I'd say the case slats are attached with fasteners.

  • Wood screwdriver would be amazing. Wooden handle tools are a favorite because they absorb moisture and oils off the hand rather than simply coating the surface, meaning you can use them when your hands are dirty or oily without issue. And as a benefit, the oils it absorbs helps keep the wood fresh and pristine for a long time.
