Jacob Rees Mogg destroys host on her liberal bigotry
these videos are not for entertainment, they are clearly "fair dealing" under UK copyright law and are exempt as they are reporting current affairs, as I am sure you are aware UK courts "bear in mind that considerations of public interest are paramount".
UK courts see the fair dealing defence usually only applies when part of a work has been taken such as small clips as per my youtube videos.

I look forward to seeing the BBC challenge every Muslim MP on every aspect of Islam's teachings in such detail.
You will wait until eternity my dear !
Problem is that we have been taught that it is perfectly ok to criticize Christianity, its actually political correct, but to criticize Islam is intolerant
Heh we'll be waiting a very looooong time for that my friend!
Can you imagine it? *opens Kuran* ok there's 100 verses here which say you need to convert, kill or treat non-Muslims as slaves and that women are less equal to men in law. Do you think that perhaps might effect your ability to be Home Secretary or Prime Minister? And what about the duty of every Muslim to implement and live under Sharia (where it's possible). Does that mean you would favour a Sharia State in the UK?
I wouldn't want any nation to be run by religious scripture. I doubt many would, even those who believe they should. The gay conservative posting below for example. But since the vast majority of people aren't backing either, I'm not sure what relevance this has. "It's okay to be shit because there's shitter" is a shit philosophy.
“The problem with liberal tolerance is that it only tolerates what it likes.” I love that line
it becomes more and more lovable every day

His Persona is very genuine, an extremely rare commodity in politics!
Yes, but the Catholic Church and Islam should also both be tolerant of things they don't agree with.
@@errolread3230 I do not think they have to agree with laws....accepting reality is required, but belief is personal...I am not a good Christian and believe that loving who you like is your choice... it's also someones choice to believe that transgressors will be punished in the afterlife...Live and Let Live...nobody has all the answers.
@@StephenTovey1960 I agree that accepting reality is required, but most religious beliefs are diametrically opposed to reality. People who believe in Heaven only do so because it seems to mean that they won't REALLY die, clearly in opposition to reality. And any idea that "bad"people will be punished AFTER they've died is just more of the same delusion. If we are expected to tolerate religious views that we don't agree with, in the name of tolerance, then religions should be expected to tolerate non-religious views that they don't agree with, in the same spirit of tolerance. Shoving those views down everyone else's throat is to be condemned. Most religious beliefs are laughable when viewed in the cold light of day.
@@errolread3230 You are right about that. The problem is religion has acquired a position where it can not be challenged or questioned and thats all down to the heavy and thorough indoctrination of children. Religion has become off limits to the scrutiny that we expect of everything else.

Another atrocious interview by the BBC interviewer trying to create discord and disharmony. He’s too smart for her to catch him out.
lets be honest here. Like many on the BBC she is Jewish - just like Bercow , who did his treacherous best to wreck Brexit. Remember what the Jewish Bolsheviks did to every last church in Russia (shut them down) while leaving the synagogues open and promoting the jewis h community
He reminds her that gay marriage and abortion is not at issue politically, yet what she wants is establish a kind of religious test. Sine 1829, the religious test that barred Catholics has been set aside.
Absolutely.
She's trying so very hard for a gotcha moment and he just keeps sidestepping her bigotry and often turning it back on her. It's awesome.
Yes I think so too. It doesn't say so but she sounds like she is from the BBC so it figures.

She missed by miles/kilometers.
I am so old I can remember when the interviewer’s job was to speak little, and that to encourage the interviewee to speak more.
Sadly that's something that people don't know nowadays
Not so these days at the BBC. They want to wipe the floor with you and push only their woke views. Not how it should be. Maybe they shouldn't interview people but just give their views themselves but that would be extremely monotoness.
This show would never bring a Muslim on and ask the same questions. In fact that host would likely blather on about how "Well, it's their culture to not respect gay marriage and I totally respect that.". Now, my personal feeling is that I don't care who loves who or who they marry. I was just pointing out the serial hypocrisy of this show.

I'm an old school British Liberal. I'm an atheist who loathes religion. I'm pro choice, and I support gay marriage, but I have to say that Jacob is probably the most admirable man in British politics today. He's honest and he stands his ground on his beliefs. He doesn't - as he himself said - chop and change to suit public opinion. This man should be leading the country, because whether I agree with his beliefs or not, I trust and admire him. I also believe that we, as a country, would benefit from his leadership.
Largesse1000 Who’s a sad fuck? I would say that religion is incidental when it comes to honesty. Do we have to delve into the whole Catholic priest paedophile scandal? It is very hard to try to "catch someone out" when that person has very balanced and sensible views, has eternal calm and is open about it all. It's pretty clear that he illustrates perfect integrity and can differentiate between his own personal views and how to best do his job and what is fair to society on the whole. People with little or no integrity cannot see that or understand it. It is similar with liars, who constantly accuse others of lying and do not trust anybody, because they simply cannot understand what it is to tell the truth purely for the sake of telling the truth. She is a bully and he handled her very well, without being offensive.
I have no respect for the woman whatsoever she just asks stupidly worded questions and critises responses. As a gay man I can’t support J.R.M as 1) im a labour member and 2) im a gay man and have no respect for his views on our marriage. Until he can prove god is real and doesn’t want us to marry, then he can leave us alone. Having said that, I admire him greatly, he has such integrity and is honest which are two characteristics that are extremely rare in politicians.
@@jammiedodger374 Are there any politicians that you agree with all of their opinions? At least with JRM there is no way he would get general support on banning gay marriages so if that's the only thing you disagree on then he would actually be an excellent person to follow on that basis (asides from being a Labour fan). I thought UK now had legally-binding same-sex civil partnerships anyway? It is really a difficult thing with these kinds of topics, where someone is following bible teachings, on which most Western countries have based their laws, it is very, very difficult to criticise too harshly without also attempting to denounce the Christian faith in its entirety (and therefore most mono-God religions too), especially when it is/they are so deeply embedded in the rituals of legal stuffs ("in God we trust," "God save the Queen," etc etc.)
O really? If you disagree with your first statements, you must have little integrity? Wow.... Whether what Mogg actually believes is balanced or sensible has nothing to do with him not being 'caught out'. If you go along with his 'tolerance is about tolerating opposing views' , you'd have to tolerate a politician that privately holds the views that sex with children should be legal, 'but it will not become policy as long as public opinion is against it', as well. As this fictive politician can also distinguish his personal views from how to best do the job. It is not a sensible argument at all. You can't be tolerant about everything, just for the sake of tolerance.
@@janmetdekorteachternaam3673 I did not say that if you disagree with my opening statements that you must have little integrity, not at all. But, what I did say is that people of little integrity cannot understand what it is to want to be honest purely for the sake of being honest. It happens that people with low integrity will twist and shape others' words in order to try to make a point and often fall down because what they're saying simply isn't true.

I have watched this woman on The Daily Politics for several years. She was brought on as a junior presenter to accompany Andrew Neill, who has a scalpel-like wit and intelligence; she has NO wit and a merely average intelligence. It speaks volumes that even though I have watched her at least 20 times I cannot tell you her name without looking it up. The real giveaway is that SHE NEVER LOOKS AT HER INTERVIEWEE when talking to him. The reason is that she is not conducting an interview, she is declaring her own 'progressive agenda' . She is not actually interested in Jacob Rees Mogg, or his sincerely held views as an elected member of parliament; she just wants to try and make him look bad. That is an appalling betrayal of the original values of the BBC - often referred to as 'Reithian' . . .under that system, the presenter/ interviewer is a MINOR figure, merely there to draw out the views of the important person - namely the one being interviewed. She however thinks that SHE is the important person, and he is only there to allow her to harangue the audience with her PC credentials as a Social Justice Warrior. Chrissie 1950 hear hear, From Northern Ireland where the majority are still British and wish to remain so, tho under attack for nearly 100years from all angles
He earns my respect for being honest and standing his ground
He comes across as something rare in politics, an honest pollitician
Don't you get it, Wayne Harte-Lovelace? Look up "Oxymoron". If you can't get to that stage, just remove the first three letters of the word "Oxymoron". TTFN.
"The problem with liberal tolerance is that it's got to the point of only tolerating what it likes" Jacob Rees Mogg 2018
Despite the aforementioned accent, I am warming to this guy.
best quote of modern times ive heard in a long time.
Spot on Moggy!
In fact liberal fake tolerance is nothing like tolerance. It is all about fashion. If someone decided it was now fashionable to be intolerant the liberal clowns would all start being intolerant. Be sure of it!
He's not wrong.
This host is very interrupty when she's rattled.
This man is just amazing.
I just watched this. JRM put her right in her place over these ridiculous questions.
Which question was ridiculous?
Is this another ridiculous question?
Typical Tory, always avoiding questions lmao
I'm not a Tory.
The BBC should be closed down, their one sided interviews and character assisinations are cringeworthy
Couldn't agree more with that sir! It's so bad its embarrassing. This organisation is a disgrace to our nation!!
Don’t forget culture and cover up of Pedophilia.
DON'T PAY THEIR LICENCE FEE- if you live in the UK that is. By paying the licence fee, you're supporting a de facto liberal political party.
It's fascinating that these NAzi's dream of carrying out assassinations but are incapable of spelling the word correctly. I guess there has to be a home for the world's idiots, a moronic place they can mass together and march up and down.
@@stephenmcdonagh2795 This is good coming from a Russian troll. I bet you pay your Putin fees on the dot, little troll boi,
Jacob is a genuine Englishman, we need a lot more like him!!!!
Maybe if you go back a few hundred years to Dickensian times.....sheesh.
I've never heard of this man before but i would vote for him. He seems very honest and open with his views and his character. Sadly a man of his integrity would be eaten alive in Parliament. Parliament is a place full of liars and snakes. Its a shame the country could use someone like him
Mogg "smashes it out of the park" every time he is asked a typical set-up question designed to malign him. The only keys to his popularity are honesty, integrity and an ability to know his own mind. It's amazing how receptive people can be when you live honestly and elucidate your beliefs as JRM does; even when they disagree with you. It's called 'respect' and JRM has mine :)
undilutedpoison I am in two minds about him. I like his honesty about his own views, most of the time, and feel he is articulate and polite in a way that certainly is lacking in the Commons. He is an excellent defender of sovereignty and one of the few people willing to defend faith properly. On the other hand, he is very irresponsible. He has fanned the flames of populism in deciding to change his view on the Lords to wanting the abolition of it due to it stopping Brexit, having been one of the few people correctly wanting to keep it unelected previously. His absolutist Brexit policy is one that will be politics by sledgehammer, his views on economics have been tried before and threaten the stability of the country, as they did in the 1980s.
undilutedpoison: Agreed. I don't always agree with him but I like and respect him for his earnest and polite demeanor, many politicians could learn a lot from him. Watching parliament is like watching a schoolyard argument, thoroughly embarrassing and a disgraceful waste of public funds.
Naaaa, problem is, most of the public are too stupid to understand the honesty gimmick doesn't work, if it did polititians would obviously do it, those honesty guys never get a majority, but annoyingly the public don't know they don't like honesty, so they have to pretend to play along, this is one reason your man Jacob isn't gonna be leader
Grey are you ok, your saying people don't let someone run, wich they can't do, and the reason you site, is that they think they will win, so everyone in the Tories want labour to win? are you ok ?
This man is so good, he's a silent assassin who uses words and wit to show the bias of the interviewer. I hope he becomes pm because our country would see the best leader for over 50 years. 👍
I never heard of this guy before today, but I wish he were my Congressman.
we need a person in power, man or woman with the strength and integrity of this man. go on Jacob Rees-Mogg. you would get my vote any day of the week.
He didn't tolerate this bigot and proved the bigotry of her question.
The entire interview is just her trying to get him saying something bigoted on camera. You could see his whole demeanor change at that moment. He went full Churchill on her!!
Although I am opposed to Jacob's views on gay marriage and abortion, and many of his other views for that matter, I have to admire the fact that he won't impose is views on other people. That's the difference between competent politicians and people like the interviewer, who want to enforce their will on every one. Like he said, no one has a monopoly on being right
JRM this man should have been elected as PM the country needs such a man at the helm. One can only hope that, JRM has the ear of the PM, he needs a man like JRM in his corner with his intellect.
well that put her in her place
So happy he pulled her up on it. You think she would sit questioning a Muslim about Islam like that, but she will happily sit there attacking a white man about his western religion.. Double standards. She is supposed to be impartial yet seems to have a disliking for Catholics, people should call up the BBC complaints and make a complaint saying you are offended by her racism toward Catholics, She might get fired if enough people do.
Bravo JRM for putting her right in her place.
Is she the most incompetent interviewer in England ? Has she ever actually listened to anyone's response to a question ? It is a long list of contenders but she must be a leading candidate.
Oh what a shock for the aggressive Interviewer when JRM pulled her up on her bigotry - he is such a thoroughly decent, civilised, pleasant person and it´s a pity that the Interviewer couldn´t be a match to him for personality and good manners.
BBC called out on its anti Christian bigotry. The selective intolerance of the left is sickening.
Remember the Gulags?
I know thats why they broadcast Songs of Praise every Sunday they are soooo anti Christian.
Oh great a hour long program. Aren't we sooooo lucky! Thank you, oh gracious one, for throwing us some crumbs!
John G. Think seriously if this was a Muslim MP. She wouldn’t dare ask such questions in fact they don’t do they? That’s what the OP means.
Actually its a DIVISIVE tactic for constantly badgering the majority by labeling them as an OPPRESSOR (Marxism) They're doing the same to HINDUs in India.. Give them GUILT (White GUILT/ HINDY Guilt) Does not matter as its politically divisive tactics using PC Culture as an excuse. Local Christian conversion missionaries use various malicious tactics to keep their FUNDING ROLLING as well.
We used to fight with the catholic school right next to our's when we were 7 yrs old .By 12 yrs we were all best mates . Moggy is right tolerance goes both ways .
He handled that PERFECTLY . . . this is the model for every single conservative person to do when attacked by the media: turn it around and attack them for not being tolerant. Well done . . . .
this reminded me of Jordan Peterson and Cathy Newman
The UK is so fortunate to have such an enlightened man as JRM, and so, so unfortunate to have had to witness the profound dumbing down and escalating left-wing bias of the once-respected BBC. Long live JRM, and, may the old BBC rise from the ashes, and give us some objective, in-depth journalism once more. It has been so long! Too long!
Rahbour El As what days were these, the good old days when all of them were either involved in it or covering up for jimmy.
boffa9999 The days to which I refer were before the "jimmy" to whom you refer was a twinkle in his daddy's eye. It really is a long time ago that the BBC chose true journalists rather than propagandists to report for them. Perhaps the inflated remuneration they are rewarded with is to compensate for prostituting their minds?
We need a right wing leader in England before anything will change. JRM keeps saying he does not want to be PM but I think deep down he would, and if they betray us with Brexit I think he just might change his tone on becoming PM.
Enlightened!? Ha!
If Jacob keeps getting the better of this interviewer she'll throw the sexist card at him.
jim22277 just a matter of time!
Always thought this guy seemed like something from a bygone era. Very impressed by this interview and handled the questions very elegantly.
Jacob Rees Mogg is an old school gent, polite, honest, truthful, a good listener (father of 6). JRM must be our PM.
"I don't think changing the law while the society vehemently disagrees with the change is a good idea" - we need more people with this opinion in power.
I’m gay. No one has to agree with it. JRM is completely right. People (esp liberals) are unable to separate ideas from people, personal views from secularity. If someone doesn’t agree with gay marriage then that doesn’t matter. All I ask for is tolerance. JRM and other religious people inarguably are v tolerant of people like myself. They don’t have to like it and pander to my every word ffs. A bill passed by Parliament is difficult to dismantle without significant support either way.
"The personal is political."
I completely agree with you.
BBC keeps asking the same question again and again. it's so tedious. Rees Mogg was more tolerant of this interviewer than I could ever manage. He's a real Gent.
"I'm not going to be leading the Conservative party, I'm a backbench MP"... my how things change!
I love it when these annoying interviewers get shown up for what they are, she's on borrowed time just like the BBC.
I put a "thought" on Facebook today that the BBC needs to change its name as it is so anti British. One only has to look at the awful way the wedding was hijacked by the pc brigade on Saturday. It was disgraceful.
An honest man in politics shines more there than he would elsewhere.
And we have to pay to hear this type of thing from the BBC
I'm from England and "working class", nevertheless, this man is an excellent role model. An antidote to intolerant liberalism. JRM - England admires your steadfastness!
No one is smoother in a debate then JRM
Why doesn't she get Sadiq Kahn on and question him about being Anjem Choudreys lawyer!!!
Because he might rape , behead her or throw her off a building
In all honesty as much as I despise evil in the world I believe that every person deserves the best lawyer they can have for justice. That’s how the legal system works.
His muslim and by so protected... so....no questions at all from fake news.!
Nice work...beautiful Catholic gentleman.
Previous to this video I was watching Dianne Abbot. The difference of intellect and honesty between the two show why the Conservatives remain in power..
Ah yes. Diane Abbott: "You are not born with your sex you have to choose it". Add to this their leader who doesn't know what a woman is and I see your point. Mother to the midwife: "Is it a boy or a girl". Midwife: "We are not allowed to say until they choose their sex".
Rees mogg is a natural PM , no pretence, just honest common sense, long live the Mogg!!
A formidable intellect. One suspects he is holding back from delivering a withering response to the ridiculous line of questioning.
Curse of the brown tongue.
He's holding back from a withering response because he may not have one
Thank ypu
@@endawalsh3946 he said alot of sense than she did, she was just trying to corner him into saying something controversial she use to discredit him. but guess what, it didnt work. if you think she came out of this looking better than he did i question your sanity lol.
A formidable intellect best of luck explain that
There's a man who understands perfectly the essencial meaning of democracy, repeatedly saying "it's up to the british voters". She wasn't questioning him, she was adovcating, trying to make a case out of this matter. Pathetic behavior!
Nice to see the comment's haven't been disabled. This guy is the last of a dying breed. Great orating skills , educated well and has a great command of the English language. And keeps his cool in discussion and debate. Id rather listen to this guy than some of the two bob MPs this country has. Good on you Mr Reece-Mogg.
