    • Yes, definitely! He's style is kind of Jupp Heynckess but better than Niko Kovac. He makes Bayern Munchen great again.

    • An interesting tactic Flick commonly uses against weaker oppositions is a 4-1-5 where the centre backs,or the defensive midifielder send vertical passes or long balls to the 5 attackers who move simultanesouly like an unit to confuse the defence and that is the most dangerous Bayern this season.RB Leipzig uses that tactic to perfection with Nagelsmann. The fluid movement is just incredible to open up spaces, confuse the defence and free up the players.Great video as always!

    • Did you mention how Thiago and Kimmich play long diagonal balls? Question: To improve this system of play, or further develop it, who´s better?: Sane, Werner, or Havertz???

  • You didn't mentioned his human side. How good he is getting out the best out from players. Off formed players like boateng, muller are now being one of the bests. The human side of Flick played a big role in bayerns success.. He can give confidence & make everyone believe that anything is possible & they can play good. That's his best Human side. Should've mentioned that cause bayern lacked it under pep, anchelotti, kovac... After Jupp Heynkes, there was no good communication between coaches & players. That returned in bayern..

  • The main and most effective difference between Bayern Munich now and Bayern in 2016/17, 2017/18, Bayern in 2018/19 is the number and pace of vertical passes. Hansi Flick changed the coaching style and trained the players to ensure more vertical and central penetration rather than mere wing play. All the other things are kinda variable. Bayern players became afraid to play vertical and central passes after Pep Guardiola left the club and the coaches like Ancelotti and Kovac failed to notice that and weren't able to make meaningful changes. This is the main reason why Bayern looks for a German coach at the end of any tenure because its not easy to understand the philosophy of the club and build on that meaningfully.

  • Excellent video. Just to add that the only piece missing in this current play puzzle is inability to play inverted wingers, since they dont have a left footed winger. I hope when Sane comes in this is resolved. But still if only Flick plays him on the RW instead of LW and Gnabry/Coman on the left the potential of this team can be fully realised. Inverted wingers will allow the pace of Davies to be used to devastating effect going forward. It also makes the winger a deadly threat as they can go for shoot cutting inside with stronger foot or also slide a through pass for Lewa/Muller/Goretzka whoever plays Strike/CAM. Much like the Robbery era inverted wingers make the attack dynamic in nature. It brings three goal threatening positions together as the opposition defence has to block Striker, CAM and winger from scoring chance. This gives the winger option to release fullback into a virtually unmanned territory on the preferred foot with ample amount of time to pick a perfect cross. With the height and heading ability of Lewa,Muller, Goretzka this will prove Fatal for opposition.

  • honestly when Pep couldnt win the CL 3times with a team that should have at least won once(for me even 2) in those years it was clear that the their style which lous van gaal brought in 2009 needs to be altered not completely but according to the opponents. Flick did that and does plan to do it even more with transfers . to win the CL you also need to develop your players you cant win alone with buying players from everywhere. So im happy to see Davies getting the trust after he played good to stay on as starter. i hope we can see more of this soon. Fein comes back instead of buying a DM for €50+million i rather would give him a chance. also in times like this 100+transfers are a NO GO!! hope they can get havertz for cheaper so when Müller retires we have the perfect player who already grew into world class!

He wanted to play there, so Kovac tried it out. So Pavard became RB, and Kimmich was the new leader in midfield. But still, very nice video, I just wanted to mention it.

  • This is very phenomenally detailed analysis of Hansi Flicks Bayern side. I have to say Flicks 4231 Bayern side reminds me of Lampard’s Chelsea side of course Bayern have considerably more quality throughout the team. High intensive pressing, central overloads, the advancing fullbacks, pivot midfield and interchangeable front 4. Some slight differences of course but I couldn’t help but notice the similarities they’re eerily similar. Keep up the great work really appreciate what you do!

  • Great video, but you missed some very important points. 1.What about Goretzka's extrem important role? He made way more minutes than coutinho. With him there was another tactical move.. When Bayern played wide he runs straight into the box and could score... 2. Even more important is Müller's new/old role / position in the centrum again (not as a right winger as you showed). Here he acted extremely free and could show his real strengths as the 'Raumdeuter' (space interpreter), scoring and making lots of assists.

  • It all depends how a trainer connects with the team, so the team is ready to die for him. Only highly skilled and flexible coaches with a great human side can succeed in Bayern. Bayern players are brutally good and they experienced Jupp & Pep. Flick brought back the high pressing and extreme posession that Jupp and Pep demanded. Bayern players have great tactical knowledge and hardcore stamina, that's why it's only logical to demand extreme domination. Kovac and Ancelotti didn't use those strenghts that made this team great. Also, the team can smell bullshit as soon you start talking, that's why Kovac and Ancelotti were not respected by the team. Flick, Jupp and Pep had good relationship with most of the players (you can't be good with everybody of course), they all show competence and they work on advanced details.

  • Love the video but my only gripe is that you should never use Coutinho in Bayern's XI when discussing the tactical set up because he's never an important player for Bayern. He loses the ball alot in central midfield and his attacking moverments were always out of sync with the team. When Flick took over, he mainly used Couts as Coman's replacement due to injury. Müller behind Lewy is whats making this team click offensively.

  • This explains everything that’s great about Flick. Aside from tactics, he has the potential to really lay down some ground work for this team so that future managers can build upon it. After Pep, we’ve had Carlo, Sagnol, Jupp, Kovac, and now Flick. I truly hope Flick is the first manager of the decade to complete his contract at the club lol.

  • If we still have champions league this year the winner would be someone between Bayern and Atletico. Bayern has the best all around team and Atletico has the best counter attack team. I see barca worse than any other season(rakitic , vidal not sorted out, dembele/suarez injured, Backline injured or out of shape every match) and City too fragile in Defence(laporte was really important for them apparently). Anyway everybody can win it but this two are the true competitors for the cup.

  • Can you try to start every statistic at zero? Because it really messes up the relations, if suddenly one of the statistic ist starting at e.g. 2 and it seems like, in that case, Flick achieved to double the stats, while it's "just" an improvement by 50%.
