Glad I found this man. I run a 4 monitor setup in the same style with the one up top. Granted mine are much smaller but this is pretty epic. That simulator is legit. Love it. This room is a wet dream.

Love the spartan nature of everything. The chest of plastic drawers, the metal shelves, it seems like you went for things that just work over things that would look cool in a photo. I personally think that kind of set up is beautiful in its own right, but appreciate the mentality behind it. Function over form.

you should see his current setup! it is 1,000,000x better that this. he now has 3 50'' 4k monitors and a 3440x1440 ultrawide above and he has dual xeon processors and and 2 titan XP cards in SLI. he could play in 4k at over 100Hz if he wanted to, but his displays are still only 60Hz max.
Absolutely beautiful... that lightswitch is a understament on how that room would make anyone feel!

god it's cool to come back and see this having well upgraded my own setup. Back when I saw this for the first time, I was just building my first full pc. I had done hardware switches for basic things like GPU and Hard drive, but this was my first venture into building my own pc, taking the viable parts from my HP and dropping them into a fractal Define R4. Now that same case runs 23 tb of space used JUST for PLEX media (and some other server applications that don't need nearly all the storage) and I've got my own amazing setup. Granted, it's nothing like this (I don't have the room to have a corner desk, though I want one), but it's a setup I would've been jealous of back then. Please do another room tour

Year later update. Hoping to do a bit of expansion on the room. It's still up in the air, but if it does, I'll have a separate server setup on A CORNER DESK! Always loved how you ran two separate setups on the corner desk, rather than one big one. Hoping it all pans out and I can finally do one of my own. Thanks for inspiring me still all these years later! Edit: I'm up to 44tb on that plex server, and a total of 63tb between both PCs. Honestly never thought I'd get this far. It's nice being able to enjoy all the media I could ever want, even when the power is out.

Hey Barnacules, could you PLEASE help me with something? How is playing other games with the large screens? Like fallout 4 or first person shooters? I built an awesome sim racing rig and am going to try and mimic your screen setup. Im used to a 27" and went and bought a 60" 4k. Beautiful TV and amazing for racing but I tried it with Fallout 4 and it not only gives me a headache but its nearly unplayable "at a high level" with how large the screen is. I tried adjusting my mouse sensitivity which helped alot but its so much harder to quickly aim vs my 27". Im finding a 60" is just to damn big to play PC games on. When I push it further back I cant read the smaller print but when its close enough to read everything clearly, it gives you a headache in games like Fallout 4. I want to use this as a racing/gaming combo where I can just swap my seat out and game when im not racing. So how does 46" feel when doing other things besides racing and if you could, would you go smaller or bigger? Thanks for the videos, keep em coming!!!

Glad I found this man. I run a 4 monitor setup in the same style with the one up top. Granted mine are much smaller but this is pretty epic. That simulator is legit. Love it. This room is a wet dream.
Love the spartan nature of everything. The chest of plastic drawers, the metal shelves, it seems like you went for things that just work over things that would look cool in a photo. I personally think that kind of set up is beautiful in its own right, but appreciate the mentality behind it. Function over form.

you should see his current setup! it is 1,000,000x better that this. he now has 3 50'' 4k monitors and a 3440x1440 ultrawide above and he has dual xeon processors and and 2 titan XP cards in SLI. he could play in 4k at over 100Hz if he wanted to, but his displays are still only 60Hz max.

god it's cool to come back and see this having well upgraded my own setup. Back when I saw this for the first time, I was just building my first full pc. I had done hardware switches for basic things like GPU and Hard drive, but this was my first venture into building my own pc, taking the viable parts from my HP and dropping them into a fractal Define R4. Now that same case runs 23 tb of space used JUST for PLEX media (and some other server applications that don't need nearly all the storage) and I've got my own amazing setup. Granted, it's nothing like this (I don't have the room to have a corner desk, though I want one), but it's a setup I would've been jealous of back then. Please do another room tour
Year later update. Hoping to do a bit of expansion on the room. It's still up in the air, but if it does, I'll have a separate server setup on A CORNER DESK! Always loved how you ran two separate setups on the corner desk, rather than one big one. Hoping it all pans out and I can finally do one of my own. Thanks for inspiring me still all these years later! Edit: I'm up to 44tb on that plex server, and a total of 63tb between both PCs. Honestly never thought I'd get this far. It's nice being able to enjoy all the media I could ever want, even when the power is out.

would be really hard to estimate if you ask me, probably took years to acquire it all. i would throw an estimate of around $17k-$20k

Hey Barnacules, could you PLEASE help me with something? How is playing other games with the large screens? Like fallout 4 or first person shooters? I built an awesome sim racing rig and am going to try and mimic your screen setup. Im used to a 27" and went and bought a 60" 4k. Beautiful TV and amazing for racing but I tried it with Fallout 4 and it not only gives me a headache but its nearly unplayable "at a high level" with how large the screen is. I tried adjusting my mouse sensitivity which helped alot but its so much harder to quickly aim vs my 27". Im finding a 60" is just to damn big to play PC games on. When I push it further back I cant read the smaller print but when its close enough to read everything clearly, it gives you a headache in games like Fallout 4. I want to use this as a racing/gaming combo where I can just swap my seat out and game when im not racing. So how does 46" feel when doing other things besides racing and if you could, would you go smaller or bigger? Thanks for the videos, keep em coming!!!

Ben Palumbo Actually, MechWarrior 2 was also made by Activision so I think that's the joke. Both MechWarrior and Modern Warfare are "MW" in short and both had high quality graphics for their time.
