RAISING the ROOF! (Off-Grid, ALASKA)
It still snowing! Can you have too much of a good thing? I don't think so. Nevertheless, it won't be around much longer because next week's forecast is for temperatures between 40 and 50 degrees.
The snow needs to melt a little more before we move the small cabin out to the edge of the lake. In the meantime, we have turned our attention on the old shop. This week we made some good progress on the interior. There is a lot of work yet to do, but the we are excited about the nice space we are creating. The shop will be the hub of this project. Many things that we need will be built in there.
Thank you all so much for your wonderful support of our channel. We love and appreciate our KZhead community more than we can say.
Oh, and also, we have set up a post office box for anyone who would like to communicate with us through that method. Our address is:

Have a blessed weekend - Peace
Love how Stella went into protective mode against the moose, it was so funny, that's the most vocal I've heard her. Another great video as well. You two really are super hard workers.
Good afternoon Diane. Stella has had a few run-ins with moose and they have scared her. She does not like them very much. The moose could not hear her of course, she was just grumbling to Tanya and me.
It's an honor to pray for Wayne's wife! Peace and Love to you all
Thank you Betty. A huge amount of support for Wayne here. I have not seen him yet this week so I am not sure if he is aware of everyone's kind responses. I will keep an eye out for him though and make sure he knows
Hi I'm Schabrina Schlebusch from South African. My husband and like your program so much. We learn a lot from you. If I say a lot I mean it. Love it when you do every thing perfect. Enjoy what you do and blessed are you and your wife. You inspire us a lot.
Dear friend, greetings to you and your husband all the way in South Africa! We greatly appreciate your kind comment. Thank you so much for watching and for the lovely encouragement. Warmest regards to you both from your Alaska friends. 🥰
I agree that your videos are peaceful relaxing to watch. I like that you don't over explain what you are doing. You and your wife work so well together. I too look forward to you videos each Friday.
Thank you Larry. So glad you are here. Also, really appreciate the feedback. Thank you. See you Friday
I would say more of a construction Guerilla than cowboy, I never know what he's trying to achieve until he's finished and then I'm amazed. What a clever old sausage! (As we say on this side of the pond).
Alex, ha! We have learned that “cowboy” is viewed a bit differently in your side of the pond….Guerilla isn’t half bad though! Henceforth I must call him a clever old sausage! That is maybe my favorite yet! Thanks for watching and for the great comment. 😊 Take care, ~Tanya
I've worked 110 hours in two weeks, and this video reminded me that while it sucks, I'm not the only working hard in the world. Although I think I'd rather be working where you are right now!
Brendan, hats off to you my friend, that is a lot of hours! I try to always remind myself that work and the ability to do it is a great blessing. Wishing you some peace good rest (which is also a great blessing!). Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. Take care!
A construction cowboy! I love it. John Wayne meets bob the builder! Always do it your own way, that’s why your videos are so good. Also a cowboy would continue to work after breaking ribs and puncturing a lung. You are one tough SOB. Love the video. See you guys next week
Mark, that seems like a pretty good combo to me! Regarding my grit & determination, I am very appreciative of the vote of confidence. My doc said I would know when I was ready to get back to work but I think it was a little sooner than he expected 😂. (I was moving a little slower than usual, but don’t tell anyone 😉). Thanks for being here friend and for the thoughtful comment. Take care!
I just can't get over the work you do and the attitude you maintain. Hats off to you. You obviously love what you do.
Jon, thank you sir. I do love everything about this work and where I’m working. I appreciate your kindness friend. Take care. 😊
I used to be able to watch these videos first thing in the morning in my cubicle. I used to be a school administrator. I am now a tile contractor and so I don’t get to watch until the evening. Total career switch. Watching these videos, in part, have encouraged me to seek more in my life. I was presented with circumstances that I had to make a change, a change I wouldn’t have had the guts to do on my own. I now love what I do, remodeling bathrooms and making spaces look nicer. Thanks for the inspiration, I’ve never done so much living. God is good.
Good evening friend. We loved this comment so much. Thank you for sharing you journey with us. I love the trades so much. I like laying down at the end of a hard day and feeling the ache of tired muscles. I would not trade it. I too have spent almost 20 years working for the education department for the State of Alaska. You understand now why I love getting out of dodge on the weekends. Peace
As an Englishman i have always thought of Alaska as the home of the American pioneering spirit . Your channel represents the attitude and thoughtfulness that embues me with that notion . Your eagerness hard work and get the job done properly mentality are inspirational . Good luck and i look forward to keeping an eye on the progress you make .
Good morning from Alaska! I am just sitting down with my first cup of coffee to read and respond to some of these wonderful comments. Thanks so much for your kind compliments. I think you are correct in your assessment of Alaska. It is called “The Last Frontier” and attracts a certain type of individual
NAUČ sa históriu ALJAŠKA patrí RUSKU a pôvodní obyvatelia Ameriky sú INDOVIA ktorých ste vyvraždili AMÍCI vrahovia národov
Dang .. respect .. broke 3 ribs and collapsed a lung and still came back to work the next week! If I sneeze a little to hard, I am down for 2 weeks minimum 🤣😂 - loving the video's .. cheers.
I was moving pretty slow though,, and the sneezing was not fun. I'm back in the saddle now though. Peace
I'll certainly pray for Waynes wife. Loved the video today. I'm always up for a good project. Stay safe guys. God bless you.😇🙂
I too will pray for Wayne's wife, as prayer does work!
Thanks Sinbad. Thanks so much for watching. Peace
A special 🙏 prayer to Wayne and his wife for healing. Gail, Tonya and Stella, it is always a treat to watch your videos. Please stay safe while working on the buildings. Even though everyone loves watching your videos, we want you to stay safe. 🤗
Good evening LaRue. Always a pleasure hearing from you my dear friend. We will do our best to stay safe and out of trouble here on our end. Have a wonderful evening.
I am more than happy to pray for Wayne and his wife. May the good Lord surround them and their family and loved ones with his love, peace and healing. Please keep us updated as we will keep you in prayer each and every day. Thank you, Gale and Tanya, for letting us know about Wayne's need. Those potatoes and onions in the cast iron skillet looked so good. I could almost smell them all the way here in the mountains of southwest Virginia..lol. Hope ya'll have a great weekend. God bless!
Thank you Cathy. I appreciate your prayer and I know Wayne does too. Thanks for your sweet message from the mountains of southwest Virginia. Peace
I find your videos inspirational. I love how you have included your wife, watching you both I have convinced my wife to come with me into the woods and live life to its fullest. I look forward to your new videos every week, thank you for sharing your life and being such wonderful people.
Good evening Steve. That is just awesome. I immediately shared your comment with Tanya. You guys have to let us know how your adventure develops. Much love to you both.
Can't wait to next Friday
When your videos come up, I grab my coffee and watch with a huge smile on my face. 😁Thanks for all the work you do building, restoring and then posting the videos.
Thanks so much Lura. Your comment just made our day. Love to you from these two Alaskans
You bring out the best in her. You bring out the best in him. A wonderful team. ❤
Life isn't complete until you have someone to share it with.
Wonderful comment! Thank you friend. ❤️
Absolutely wouldn’t miss your videos each week. It’s definitely a highlight in the week for me and one of the very few times I sit still for that amount of time so I am thankful that you take the time to make these awesome videos & share your lives with so many. A true blessing for sure. I’m so sorry you got hurt, Gale, and glad you’re on the mend. You guys are both amazing and I’m proud of you! Thanks for saying hello! Sure made my day & made me feel special too! Also I will be saying prayers for Wayne’s wife!! Have a good week!
Ha, You are welcome.
Another good one. Stella was trying to protect her mum and dad from the big bad moose.🤣
Elizabeth, you are right, Stella sees sounding the noise alarm as her solemn and sacred duty for the good of humankind 😂. We appreciate it but sometimes when that bark comes unexpectedly it about sends us through the roof! She’s a dear girl anyway 😉. Thank you for watching friend. Peace and blessing to you.
Construction cowboy 😂 best description ever!!
Haha, it has stuck
Hello my friends. Welcome back dear Tanya. I am so sorry about your accident, Gail. Please be careful. I hope that after doing all these hard works, you will be very pleased of your accomplishments. ❤ 😊
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind comment, it warms our hearts. Peace and blessing to you friend.
Love what you guys are doing! It’s a reminder of what this great country is all about freedom! You have been a true inspiration to me and my family to get back to doing what you love! I have a love for wood working and building things. Every time I watch your videos I just want to build! Thank you for sharing your story!
Good evening Timothy. Thank you for your comments. Your words are so encouraging to us. It is such a great compliment to know that we can inspire and encourage others through sharing a part of our lives. Give your family a hug from both of us. Peace
Enjoyed watching the video, thanks 🌹
Thank you so much
Broken ribs flying through the roof sounds like a good cowboy novel to me! Always entertaining lovely couple, and hard working.
Howdy Daniel, it's not the fall, it's the sudden stop. OOOCCHHHH! As he talked about, I could almost feel feel his pain. True grit, back in the saddle in couple of days. We take our infrastructure for granted, emergency medical, fire and local police services.
Daniel, haha! It does sound like a good cowboy novel but it’s not such a good way to spend a weekend 😂. Thanks for the kind comment. Take care friend. 🤠
Captivating content. Thank you from your neighbor in Fairbanks. God's love is shown not only through the beauty therein, but also the beauty in watching both of you in how you work with one another.
Thank you so much for this kind and thoughtful comment. We feel very fortunate to have such a lovely friend close by. Peace & blessing to you and yours. 🥰
Congratulations to you Tanya and Gale for living your dreams through faithful followers, love the way you guys work together and gotta love Stella’s dedication to you! Always real relaxing watching you work!
Hello Mark. Thanks so much for being part of our project. This has been so enjoyable for everyone involved. The encouragement from our KZhead community has been outstanding. Thank you for being part of that.
“Construction Cowboy and the Sundance Chick”! What a combination! Then the mouse droppings; reminds me of my wife!😂
Haha! I like it! 😂
Have a nice weekend 💞
Thank you Tracy! You too
Hello Gale and hello Tanya!! Again Alex from Argentina! Another beautiful and fun video that I enjoy while having a mate! A Saturday is not complete for me without homemade pizza and a video of This is my Alaska!! I agree with the comments of other people, this channel brings peace and fills the spirit. I already feel part of the project!! As always, I thank you for your videos, and a big hug for the three of you and for the whole family!! Have a good week!!
Hello Alex! It is good to hear from you. I have been introduced to mate because of you. I have not tasted it yet but I have been reading about it and plan to try some. This is one of those things I really enjoy about this channel. And yes, you are a part of our lives and our project here. Enjoy your homemade pizza!
@@ThisIsMyAlaska Thank you very much Gale! I hope you can try mate, it is not just a drink, it is a ritual and has many benefits, but I must warn you that it is a bit bitter, but you can sweeten it with a little sugar or stevia! In Fairbanks I think you can get it in Sipping Streams on 374 Old chena pum road!
I'm so sorry to hear of your injury and very relieved that you are ok. Wonderful progress, you can be proud!
Marna, thank you for watching and for the kind regards. Peace & blessing to you friend. 🥰
I have loved watching ya'll when my husband your videos have been my go too place and love watching reminds me of my husband and me thx we were married 43 yrs
Aww Tina. So much love to you from both of us. Your comments must melt our hearts. Have a wonderful weekend.
Another great episode! It is so nice to watch a ‘reality show’ with real reality and no drama. Prays for Wayne’s wife coming from Colorado🙏🏻
Thanks so much! A big hello to beautiful Colorado. I am so glad you are here. Peace
Another great video!! Every Saturday morning my wife and I watch your videos as we have our morning coffee and tea and eat out breakfast. My wife commented on this video how much the two of you remind her of how the two of us are when we do projects together. We live in Clinton Oklahoma but love Alaska. We have been 3 times now and will be heading back again this august. Keep up the great work and we always look forward to your videos!! Brian and Heather
Good morning Brian and Heather! So glad you guys shared your Saturday morning with us. We are just getting started with the Day here. We haven’t had our coffee yet and I need to get it started. Let us know if you make it up to the interior of the state. Perhaps we can share a cup together
@@ThisIsMyAlaska we have a house rented in Palmer for the week but plan on driving up to Fairbanks one day and staying the night, hitting the cookie jar restaurant and the farmers market before heading back the next day. Maybe we could get together while we are there
What an awesome opening! Going to Alaska and seeing a moose is definitely on my bucket list. And Stella’s reaction was adorable. Tanya, your expressions are priceless. Your participation in the videos has added a whole new level of enjoyment for me. I do think you need a cute little hard hat for this ceiling work though…duck and cover ;) Gayle, thanks for sharing your story…I’m grateful you’re okay.
So funny when your wife called you a cowboy 🤠🤠 it was great to see how you get about raising the roof, sending love from across the big pond, in Chatham, Kent, England
Neil, thanks so much for watching! Warmest regards to you from your friends in Alaska. 🥰
It still snows in Alaska! And in Spain we are at 32°C!! It's incredible... How much work for two people! but it's good to see how a cowboy and a cawgirl working together. LOL. A big hug for my Alaskan heroes.
Miguel, I think Spain sounds pretty wonderful! Thank you for the lovely comment. Hugs to you from your Alaska friends! 🥰
Thank God you are alright from that horrible fall you described! As always, Friday is a highlight, love watching you and your great progress together. Take care!
Good morning Evelyn! Not to worry, I am back 100% and excited to get this place in shape. See you Friday
"It said " no" 😂 Fancy= Cordon Bleu 😂 I love the comic relief provided by you, Tanya. I guess you know that Gale is going to milk that "cowboy" image now 🤠 So very sorry to hear that you were injured, Gale. I don't think you're a cowboy so much as a fearless ball of fire! Please be careful; Tanya needs you as do we! Love you both ❤❤
Good morning Carole. We both chuckled at your comments today. When I first met Tanya she was 17 and I asked her to skate with me during "couples skate". She was a quick-witted, smart-mouth and I loved every minute of it. Needless to say, I asked her out afterwards. We have been together ever since. I still love her sense of humor.
Gale, you have some crazy good skills lifting that beam with that loader. Wow!
Good morning Ann. That loader is just too much fun. I don’t know what I would do without it. I practically raised my children in the cab of that thing, riding on my lap for hours in end
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos that bring such joy. I Fall to sleep thinking about that crackling fire & wake up with the enthusiasm to do it all over again. My wife & I live a similar lifestyle here on the Olympic Peninsula as I recondition our old buildings. Last evening after working hard all day we found a spot of rare sunshine near the creek to set out some chairs & catch some warmth. Between that, pride in productivity & your video’s makes for the best contentment! Wishing you the Best Always ❤ T & C n Pups.
T, C & Doggos, we are so glad to have you here. Loved hearing a bit about your project and lifestyle that sounds like a life we can relate to. Wishing you many lovely spots of sunshine in days ahead. Thanks you for the thoughtful and interesting comment. Take care friends. 🥰
I am a student in architecture here in India, Seeing your work gives me new energy and fills me up with enthusiasm to learn architecture more.
Tanish, architecture is an awesome occupation! Thank you for the wonderful comment, glad we can encourage you a bit across the miles. Best of luck to you in your studies. Take care friend. 🥰
@@ThisIsMyAlaska ❤❤
Dear friends, from a far end, Argentina. I dare to express myself from my precarious English. Your videos are a song to life, to the hope and joy of a good Christian. The one to make typical of the pioneer, the one who from his lineage and/or Saxon essence, conquered, through sacrifices, a better life in wild lands. Believe me then, my most sincere wishes of happiness and good for you. God keep your lives. Ah! Regards to your inseparable and faithful Stella, her presence is wonderful. 🖐️
Norberto, where to start to reply to such a kind and eloquent comment? We certainly do not feel equal to such praise but we thank you for your kindness. We are glad you are here and so appreciate your lovely words of blessing. Warmest regards to you and yours in Argentina. Take care friend.
So pleased to be able watch this. I had a massive heart attack on Tues mornging an am in hospital, recovering and recuperating. Certainly cheered me up to be able to watch the progress your making, thanks. Richard n Helen from Down Unda
Good evening Richard. We are so sorry to hear about your heart attack. That is so frightening. Please let us know how your recovery is progressing. Much love to you and Helen.
Hi G & T. I'm home again being cared for and clucked over by my own special angel, Helen. Taking things easy for the next few week and hopefully back into active participation with my local Men's Shed. Looking forward to the next video you two wonderful people make. Gives me something to look forward to. The Angel sends her love n blessings, as do I. Richard n Helen Down Under
That is some skillful maneuvering with the tractor to get that beam in!
Thanks Lana! See you Friday
"Gord On Blue" 🤣🤦♀ I totally got that only because that was one of my favorite dishes while living in Germany. (cordon bleu) Coincidently the only other place I've had that dish and it was spectacular was at the Turtle Club I believe in/near Fairbanks. If not at that place, somewhere else. So many years ago now I cannot quite recall where exactly it was, but was great. The cooking of the hamburgers is funny! She cooks like a fine lady in a cast iron skillet. Then he cooks his on a grate on top of the stove. 🤣🤣🤣 The difference between men and women on display right there, y'all! 🤣
That struck us funny because it is a place to hang up your extension cords with the play on words “Cord on Blue” we have eaten at the Turtle Club many times. It is out in Fox. It is still going strong
@@ThisIsMyAlaska - Yay! I’m so glad a. to make y’all giggle and b. to hear they are still going strong! Such a great place to eat and hang out.
Construction cowboy 😂 Thats a good one greetings from Germany ;)
Haha, thanks. Greetings from Alaska
hello guys we love seeing you next to the fireplace having a snack and commenting on the statuses is a very important part of the video this video was so perfect that you can see even the smallest details a hug for tanya from colombia and a handshake for you gale and greetings to the whole family we love you ruth sergio sergio and nicolas
Good evening Sergio, Ruth, Sergio and Nicolas. Much love to all your guys down in Colombia! Thanks for sharing our lives. Peace
Oh my God. I hope you recover well. And take good care of yourself. Sometimes I get scared to see him in the heights. Take care of yourself.😮
Hi glad you feeling better stay safe both of you love your dog she’s beautiful
Thank you Hazel! ❤️
Again I love your channel. Please take care both of you you are such gentle and caring folks. I’ll remember your friend Wayne and his wife in prayer. I feel from your channel that I know you as friends. Probably never make it to Alaska but if I did I would certainly love to meet you.
Thank you so much. It is always a blessing to hear from you and I know Wayne and his wife greatly appreciate the prayers. Hopefully one day you will make a trip up here and when/if we would certainly love to make your acquaintance in person as we consider you a friend as well. Take care!
You always show exactly what you are doing. This is one of the reasons I love your videos. 👏👏👏👏
So good to hear from you Cathy. Thank you for your wonderful feedback. It is always helpful and much appreciated. Peace
A construction cowboy lol. Great video you guys. Always enjoy tuning in to see what you guys are doing. See you next week.
Thanks so much James. See you Friday my friend.
So Many Comments, so Little Time! I loved this week's video and once I watch this one, I will spend my week waiting for the next one! Today is 5/23 for me, and you've probably made another video that I'll get to see in a few days. And, NEVER a negative word or a gripe about anything. Surely God has put you on MY KZhead to help me LOVE My Life! I used to love watching old movies from the '40s. But Alfred Hitchcock has nothing on y'all! I'll take an hour long video from Alaska any day! Thanks a LOT and Peace to y'all!! Leslie Ann Farrar
Good morning Leslie Ann. So glad to hear that we brighten your week. We are just barely staying ahead of this weekly video schedule, but it is a labor of love on our end. Thanks for being a part of our lives. Peace
Every week I'm amazed all over again by just how much the two of you accomplish in a few days! There must be something in the water up there in Alaska! And I really appreciate the sense of friendship you foster with all of us who tune in every week to share your journey. It's very special. Sending love again from Australia xoxo
Good afternoon my friend. So good to hear from you (all the way from Australia). I think there is something in the water here! Thanks so much for being part of our KZhead family. Peace
The earlier “silent” videos were great but I have to say that now the two of you add so much more - even the cowboy comments. Lots of good natured ribbing… 😊
Thanks Robert. I appreciate that. I love the silent style video and would like to do more of them. They just bring out the surrounding natural sounds in a wonderful way that really appeals to me. I also enjoy working with my sassy wife too. She keeps me chucking. Peace
Thank You for reading my comment and I do watch till the very end. It just amazes me how You got that beam in. Great show, can't wait till next Friday
You are welcome Brian. We loved your comment and are so glad you are part of our family here. Peace to you from both of us
First off I am glad your ok Gill be carful our there do not want to see y.all get hurt. Cowboy construction sounds like a good name for this build lol let Wayne know we will pray for his wife, I beat cancer back in2014. I aways watch your program every Friday. Toyna pet Stella for me and keep a rope on that cowboy so he dose not get hurt lol have a great week
Ron, Cowboy Construction does have a certain ring to it! I do try to be careful but sometimes I just get ahead of myself. ThNk you for the kind regards and for being a faithful friend in this space. Thanks also for the prayers for Wayne’s wife. Take care friend. 🥰
I am impressed with your ability to get back to work after breaking ribs and having a punctured lung. I’m gonna start calling you he-man.
Ha, I am completely recovered by now. The pain only hung around for a month or so. We learned a few things along the way too
I’m so sorry that you got hurt, how scary. Thank goodness you were not alone when it happened. It is awake up call and a reminder to take care, all the best to you all from Australia 🇦🇺
Hello dear how are you doing?
Thanks so much Karen. No need to worry, my better half had my back on this one. We both learned a thing or two. Thanks again and we will talk to you soon. Peace
I realize roughing it is an Alaskan tradition! 😁 Get that young lady a real cook stove!! 😉
I find it amazing how you include and thank your followers at the end of each video. Awesome video!
We appreciate that Hunter. Feedback is super helpful. We love connecting with our community anyway we can.
My wife and I have recently found your channel and what a joy it is! We love watching your videos and seeing your progress. We LOVE Stella and the relationship you guys have! Can't wait to watch more and join you on this amazing journey! Thank you for bringing joy to our screens ❤
Good morning Michelle! So glad you found us and welcome to our community. Much love to you guys from all of us here in Alaska. Peace
What a great opening, loved Stella's comments on the moose!
Haha she did have plenty to say about the moose! She’s very opinionated on that subject 😂. Thanks so much Steve 😊. Peace & blessing to you and yours.
Praying for Wayne and his wife🙏🏻
Thank you Jan. ❤️
It is so nice to have a extenda hoe on your 580. I believe that’s the best tractor/ backhoe you can buy. I’ve put in a lot of 12” concrete pipe in with one of those back in the 80’s-90’s, great all around machine! Stella didn’t like that Moose messing with you guys! Great work guys as always
Mark, it’s always good to hear from you and I sure do like my tractor! It has to be one of the best for sure and honestly, I don’t know where we’d be without it but I imagine we’d still be standing out on the road wishing we could get into this property 😂. Stella does NOT like the moose taking up space in her world and she sees it as her duty to alert the entire state when she sees one. She’s a good girl so we don’t mind too much when she about gives us a heart attack with her booming bark alarm. Thanks so much for being here friend. Take care!
Sizi Türkiye'den hayranlıkla izliyorum,İngilizce bilmesemde büyük keyif alıyorum.Selamlar,sevgiler.
Thank you my friend. All my best to you. Much love from Alaska
That opened up a lot of possibilities
😊
Wayne, I’ll be praying for your wife and prayers to you sir! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you Mark
Enjoyed this episode very much . Sorry to hear that you were injured. Glad to see that you wear ear muffs but concerned that you don’t protect your eyes especially when sawing overhead. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you friend. We do try to remember to put on safety glasses but honestly, sometimes we just forget. We appreciate the concern and will keep trying to improve in this area 😊. Take care.
18:00 Some really nifty driving there. I tip my hat to you.
Thanks Martin! Peace
Teri sounds like me when the temp is 90 degrees and above for more than a week before actual summer in Louisiana. I'm over it. LOL
Construction cowboy going rogue. Ha ha! I like that. :0D
Ha, the girl has a way with words
Love watching you and your wife working together.
Thanks Warner. We are glad you are here!
I'm with you, Tanya, regarding mouse droppings: Ew! We had snow in mid-April (Great Lakes region). I nearly cried. It was before our fruit trees blossomed, though, so that helped!
Keeping Wayne’s wife in prayers 🙏
Thanks so much Wanda. Much love to you.
Sooo skilled with that ex. This is the second time I've seen you thread the needle. Very impressive 👏
Thanks Mike. We are going to try to get the roof on this shop in the next couple of weeks or so, before the rainstorms arrive.
Tanya is right: you are a cow boy…. Please take great care of both of you, being in the middle of nowhere is not easy when something bad is happening, like going through the ceiling… don’t do that anymore we still need you every weekend on KZhead. Greetings from Belgium (Europe)
Christian, thank you for watching and for the kind regards. We’re definitely not planning on anymore big falls and the whole experience has helped us to be more cautious for sure. We appreciate the kind comment. Hugs to you in Belgium!
hello from upstate n.y. i love watching you folks...been a fan for over a year....great fun watching!
Cliff, thank you for hanging in here with us and for the kind comment. Warmest regards to you and yours in NY! 🥰
Sorry to hear about your fall and I'm glad you are on the mend. It seems to happen when you get a little too comfortable on ladders and such, right? I've had a couple falls and my wife won't let me forget it. Thank goodness for rain gutters and meter boxes that are pretty effective at slowing you down as you go flying by. Best to you and yours! Be careful and go easy.
Boy that fellas comment on “like Christmas morning each time” really says it. Made me tear up.. not unusual for me anyway..... been following you for quite awhile now and have been wondering what the end goal is with both the cabin you moved to the lakeside and the shop you are refurbing. Was aghast at the trusses in the section you are strengthening!!! 5plus feet of snow and though it curved it didn’t collapse ..... 1x4’s?? Whoever built it must have been from Phoenix...... love you guys..... We’ve only been married 5 years at 70 and 80 yrs old - my wife had a stroke 2 years after we married.... she is the sweetest girl I’ve ever met. Her memories are less than 2-3 min now but she remains very sweet. We watch and enjoy your videos every week. Keep up the good work you rogue cowboys!! I lost count of how many cabins you’ve built or worked on....... a man living the dream and seem to know all the trades.... love it! Tim and Claudeen in Eureka, CA. Both of us have been to Kodak in the 70’s in the Coast Guard and out in the Pribilofs and Adak etc. Loved Alaska times.... Shalom. (Mouse droppings ARE yucky......)
Good evening Tim and Claudeen. Tanya and I are snuggled up tonight reading and answering comments. We shared yours and both loved it. Reading about you and your dear wife just melted our hearts. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I was a teenager in the 70's, living in a remote part of Alaska with my parents. Those were the days for sure. Peace to you Tim and give your sweet girl a hug from us tonight. Peace
Hi guys another great episode it's my highlight of my week been following you for a good while and greetings from plymouth England 👍
Wayne, greetings to you in Plymouth, England! Thank you so much for the kind comment, we are so glad to have you here. Take care!
Another great video from you all.
Thank you Dale
As long as Stella's around, you have no fear of moose! HA! Awesome work on that Case, setting the high beam! That 'old shop' will turn out to be a welcoming place. The personal contact at the end of the video is magnificent; so nice to see you share your adventures with everyone. Stay safe and God bless!!
God bless you both have a pleasant weekend and blessed week love you guys
Thank you so much. Stella does not like moose very much. They frighten her a bunch. The shop will be a great space when we get it finished. Thanks again for watching.
Ich liebe diese Videos einfach großartig zu sehen was alles möglich ist. Meinen großen Respekt 👍
Hopefully I can do what you are doing in remodeling cabins. I have construction background but you have tons more experience so it's cool to learn from you.
Thanks for being here and for the nice comment. I think you have to start with what you know and grow a bit at a time. Wishing you all the best in your projects and endeavors! Take care friend. 🥰
I’ve been watching your videos for over a year now and it is one of a few that I faithfully watch week after week. I enjoy it as it is relaxing to sit back and watch someone else do the work! 😉 keep up the great work. Bob Quinn Shediac New Brunswick Canada
Bob, thank you for hanging in here with us! We are so grateful for your persistence and faithfulness! We’re glad you can sit back and enjoy watching us work 🥰. Take care friend!
Love how you guys take time to say hi to some of your followers at the end of the videos and how you almost always respond to every comment. I was disappointed to see the snow falling for you guys. I’m tired of snow and we haven’t seen any since February here in central Oklahoma. Lol. We have had temps in the 90’s for the last couple of weeks. I’ll be glad to see spring come for you all. Can’t wait to see how this project turns out. I know it will be great. Looking forward to next weeks video.
Good morning Dayla. Thanks for being here each week. We have fallen in love with our KZhead family and look forward to visiting with you guys. Don't worry about that snow, winter is just throwing a final fit or two. It knows it can't win. See you soon. Peace
Sorry to hear about your fall, so glad you are okay and are back making these wonderful videos. I look forward to a new one every week! See you both next week. Stay safe my friends❤️
Thank you Sue. Yes, I am back 100% and a little wiser too. That is the important thing. See you soon.
Stella wasn’t to keen about that Moose. I don’t think I have ever heard her bark. Another accomplished day by you guys. I like the Cowboy remark, I can relate to that haha 😂 That could have been worse on that fall you took, it was bad enough as it was. Be safe and take care. Peace
Thanks Norman. Stella get grouchy around the moose. They scare her. See you soon!

Hello Debbie! So good to hear from you and a big hello to Ripley WV. Thanks so much for being part of our Alaska family. Hug from both of us.
sorry to hear about your fall Gale and I know from motorcycle wrecks broken ribs are quite painful hurts to cough and hard to sleep, but your method of stiffen up the roof is spot on good job, and great video's
Hello Henry. You are right about that coughing. It would be a bad time to get a cold that's for sure. Thanks so much for checking in. See you Friday
Always fascinating! Sorry to hear about your injury, i wondered how a medical emergency would be dealt with. Glad you are okay now. Stay safe and thanks for always making my Friday mornings here in Canada.
Cindy, thank you for watching and for the kind words. Greetings to you and your family there in Canada. Take care friend. 😊
Love how spacious and airy you make your restoration's. The 2 of you really work well together and it was good to see Drox out helping last week also :)
Good afternoon my friend. The winter days are long and dark. Opening up a room is so important. It just helps a lot! Thanks for watching. Peace
I watch a lot of off grid u tube folks out there, and I really appreciate you three. You always make me feel like I am there with y’all. And Alaska has been on my bucket list for a long time. I hope I can get there one day....oh and I have a coffee cup just like you two lol so I would fit right in ♥️ thank you for helping me get a taste of my bucket list every week. That means so much to me.
Hello Debbie. You are so welcome. Come on up and share a cup of coffee soon. That would be great. We may even have a deck to sit on by that time. Peace

That is a big project to take on by yourselves. Working with big beams overhead is extremely dangerous, please be safe. Stella is no fool, she stayed the heck out of there. Always Impressed what you guys accomplish, LOOK forward to your next video, I thoroughly enjoy every one of them ‼️‼️🛠️. Vinny 🇺🇸
