Good question. Maybe the corner signalled him to stop it? Either way it looked like an inevitable end for Mamani. He wasn't going to survive the second onslaught and may have gotten hurt even more.

Or maybe in the dressing room the ref told both boxers how he'd end the fight if they failed to retaliate after getting hurt.. either way I think it was a good stoppage..
