Asus 360Hz Monitor (PG259QNR) - Does it Really Give you the EDGE?
Today we look at the PG259QNR, which the R abbreviation offers the Nvidia Reflex IO tech. This tech is very handy for someone who needs their system to stay snappy. Though the official model won't be released until December. We also check out input lag and response times, which gave out some very, very interesting figures.

Another Tech YES Awesome video!
360hz! Perfect for watching Tech YES City!
The perfect EDGE to be first on Tech YES City videos!
Day 12 of replying to marco
@@taza99 That's right! Almost an unfair advantage! Think of how many firsts one can perform! That's a lot of firsting!
I'll keep my old fashioned 4K 60hz monitor thanks....
It's been 20 years since I stopped playing half life and counter strike. Yet here we are.. spending big money on monitors to play it all this time later :0
at 10:48 you mentioned you would walk about the differences between the PG259QNR and the PG259QN but I dont think you ever get there. Is there anything else you'd like to add? I know its the module for nvidia reflex and the "floating" stand, but from your personal experience/review is there anything else? Thx
Does the latency analyzer work with AMD GPUs? I'd really love to see an input lag test with 3080 vs 6800xt!!!
Is it worth getting the R version? I still don't fully understand what Nvidia reflex analyzer is but from my understanding is that it just shows you a visual representation of the mouse latency or something? idk I got the non r version today... hopefully it isn't a big difference lmao.
Tech Yes City at 360hz? Tech Yes I want it!
On and Off for the crosshair and stuff is a button, on mine is the second button from bellow, you have a button that turns it off without going in the menu.
Having 360hz monitor pairing with gtx 1050ti pretty good combo
1050 ti is still plenty for low settings competitive fps
Just got one to pair with the rx 560... I upgraded my pc to get a 3080 but first I’ll need to make some cash and somehow get one. I can barely get 144 on Valorant as it is because of the bottleneck with my gpu lmao
It wasn't meant for a hardcore average fps gamer like me , but I still wanted it bought the QnR w/mouse bundle
I’ve been trying to get one of these damn things forever, god damn scalpers
Bestbuy has them on their website right now.
I got one on B&H
I will buy this monitor mount it in a that small stand that I do get with the QNR version only for when I will play eSports titles for the ultimate 1080p experience and after that I will buy the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 32" 4K Ultra HD Gaming Monitor for immersive game plays.
60hz 40" LED here for less than $200 at the time! I like to think my rhythm offsets the lack of competitive refresh rates in an fps game.
That's hopeful thinking but not matter how slow you play, it always makes a difference. Once you play on a 240hz monitor you'll be able to literally feel the difference in how responsive the games are.
I use the bulit in crosshairs on the monitor and I was disappointed when they made this one a larger dot instead of the OG tuf version witch was a tiny dot.
Impressive technology. I play mostly single-player games so I value higher visual fidelity more on my Pg279Q. 27" 1440p/165hz IPS.
IPS. the only technology worth having
@@fuzzjunky Besides maybe one day, OLED. But burn in. So I'd say in like 5 years, when we get MLED monitors.
Played at 1440p/165hz. It was fine, but my issue was being that without DLSS. 1440p sill doesn't seem like the sweet spot yet.
cant wait to see 360hz to go mainstream
Yes don't question it im personally waiting for the 360 hz BenQ version considering I'm a sweat in the FPS games I play.
Yea same here, unfortunately benq/zowie tweeted they aren't planning to make one anytime soon
Ya so was I but I’ve settled on the Alienware 360hz monitor since BenQ said not anytime soon and I’m building my new/first rig currently
Now is your time 🙈
Where is the used price performance? I miss it man
It's coming back, don't worry. The new market is changing so much I have to learn it all then reapply that to the used market. It's going to be a completely different scenario in a couple of months.

I was just wondering whats the difference between The ROG Swift 360 Hz PG259QN and the ASUS ROG Swift PG259QNR FHD 360Hz G-Sync IPS monitor and whats better. ;]
When Cyberpunk 2077, Make a tight budget PC that can run it.
I got this monitor, fucking love it, it is insane in valorant, apex legends and csgo, although apex is capped at 300fps, but that is still plenty.
@Phillip Balder It actually is super smooth for me, as long as your cpu is not the bottleneck, I have a 9900k and no issues with stutters or anything
I play primarily cs:go and I'll be picking up this monitor once I get my new PC in a month. I'll be jumping up from a 144hz monitor and feel it will be worth it for me. I'm 36 years old and the old internal CPU doesn't quite process as fast as these young bucks I'm facing most every game so I'm hoping the new hardware will help me get some of that edge back.
hope so, have fun
I got pg279q, but don't know how to how to get those input lag information from nvidia overlay. Please help. Really appreciate you.
This is a monitor for gamers so serious, they would sell their mother to get a slight benefit in-game.
if you're willing to sell your mother then you don't have skill. A skilled player vs a skilled player that monitor makes no difference, you would have more difference in your ping by a long shot. Seems to me you have no skill like at all
@@josep1001001 Yeah but if two people are on an equal playing field; same skill, same mouse, same ping and so on... The one with the 360hz will win more often over the one that has a 320hz monitor. So it gives you a small edge that could define the whole outcome, giving the right circumstances. What i have no skill!? 1v1 me dude, u got nuthin on me.
@@dunkelwelpling no dude 5 - 10 ms is so short if a time that other factors will have more of an impact, not your reaction time. It's not humanly possible to react to anything faster then 50ms. So the difference between PG259QN and PG259QNR is just that the PG259QNR you can see it and analyse it? Or does the PG259QNR have lower input lag than the other?
QNR has a desk mount that comes with it also
@@kevinrussell9203 Does the software help with lower latency, or is it just the software to monitor it?
@@steen275 no it's just software to monitor latency, nvidia's own low latency mode is built into Nvidia drivers already but only works on some games

Ah yes, another monitor that definately won't be available in my country
@J Fz I know that this monitor is pretty useless and it's just gimmicky. I am just frustrated that there so many different models of 1080p and 1440p monitors, some of them being cheap. But in my country (India) almost all of them are unavailable.
we can rig it up to a CPU we can't get and GPU we'll never even see

Oh my God I love tech yes city so much What am I gonna do without this marvelous youtuber
You don’t have to hit 360hz to benefit from high refresh rate monitor ..most people don’t hit 240hz it’s all about smoothness
Only getting around 180FPS with this monitor on warzone and cold war i9 10900k Rtx 3080 32gb 3200 corsair ram M.2 ssd 850 PSU I switched motherboards and didn't do a fresh install. I wonder it thats the issue.
It's warzone man, most benchmarks with similar rigs to you I see around 180-210 fps, same with PUBG.. Do you play on 1080p High or Low?
That’s odd. With a 3090 can get 120-150fps everything max in 4k and rtx except normal shadows/low particle quality. If you’re playing 1080p is it just using the CPU? Maybe some issues with your nvidia global settings?
only 4 crosshairs?
Can't find anywhere 120hz monitors ,like they never existed xD.Even if i find one used they will sell it so expensive that i'm better off buying 144hz ips monitor from a reputable brand for 200+ $ new with warranty
I only live stream among us an fortnite should I still buy this monitor?????
280hz is less than half price with g sync on u can get discount on it on black friday
I would get a 240HZ it's more than enough. I highly doubt you will compete on a pro level in CS:GO or any other esport game.
Even 144hz is fine tbh. And.. 360hz for among us?? Seriously??
Reflex module? Or reflex latency analyzer module? The reflex low latency mode technology does not require any module to function.
First in tonight!
Please do a monster 3090 10900k build! My EVGA 3090 ftw3 hybrid comes in today. I need the rest of the parts.
Can you even play any modern game with 360 FPS?
It's still a lot of smoother than 144hz even if the game won't get those numbers, lag is lag
Esport titles lol. This monitor is meant for competitive esports game not triple a games.
You can. CS:GO, Overewatch and Valorant.
@J Fz let’s be honest, every single game you played could have been better if you were on anything above 60hz, that’s because high FPS is just better, there’s no beating around bush about that.
@J Fz My ping kills my gameplay...
If you're looking for the Asus 360Hz Monitor PG259QNR and you're trying to get Nvidia Reflex you're going to be disappointed. The PG259QNR doesn't support Reflex, the PG259QNR is the model that has it built in. Make sure you do your research before you purchase. I've seen a few people angry because they didn't read before they purchased.
the reflex analayser doesn't work very good just some random ms numbers every 5 bullets you shoot and then it resets?
