UFC featherweight Brian Ortega takes Brett Okamoto into his childhood neighborhood of Harbor City in Los Angeles, California, describing the violent environment he was brought up in and how he got into fighting. Ortega discusses how his father “taught him to survive” the streets and spends time with some of his friends in the area.

  • People are giving Brian crap for talking about his life growing up in a rough neighborhood, but when studio gangster rappers lie about a life they never lived over beats, it's praised and admired. 🙄

    • Really? Me and brian first met at knife fights in the underground hood fighting scene, he stabbed 3 dudes in a row so i bought him a beer. Somehow he liked me so we went in his backyard to smoke some crack and roll a little bit. After i heelhooked him he got pissed and stabbed me in my arm with a broken crack pipe, so i took a baseballbat and knocked him out with it. last week i saw him again at wallmart but fortunately for me he didnt recognised me anymore!

  • I can't wait for this fight! I honestly won't be surprised with whoever wins. I give Max the slight advantage if he is 100%. As long as Max stays on the outside, moves in and out quickly and avoids the clinch then Max should take it by decision. If Ortega can land that vicious uppercut and tie Max up in the clinch then I think Ortega will find his neck or arm. Both are absolute killers, there hasn't been such an even title fight like this in a while in my opinion. I'd give a limb to be in Canada this weekend.

    @BirdsOfGlass@BirdsOfGlass5 жыл бұрын
    • won't be a title fight, because max will not make weight, watch. the only way he was making 145 is by water loading with distilled water before cutting, which is dangerous as fuck and what made him sick last time. this will be a catchweight (and thus non-title) fight if ortega takes it, and holloway will have 5-10 pounds on ortega, so he will probably take the decision. otherwise, if somehow he does make weight, he will be nowhere near 100%.

    • I am from Congo. I am happy to live in America. The best country in the world. In Congo we have no option to escape the constant war, poverty and over all brutal violence. We have no way to escape. We don't have clean water, medical treatments, schools, food etc. Social Services etc. Kids are forced to grow up very fast or else risk death. There's no where in America that anyone can compare to Congo, Liberia or Somalia. The kids in America who live in the Ghetto are spoiled kids, acting up. They have plenty of options yet they want to shoot people for fun. So, people, please be thankful to live in a country where anyone can have the opportunity to change the direction of their lives. The ghettos in America are heaven in many parts of Africa.
