Just bought hi point 9mm because all my friends talked crap about them. After 1200 rounds everyone seems to hate to enjoy it. They smile after shooting it while also talking crap. It’s the perfect conversation piece
That Hi-point is exceptionally high-quality for its price. It almost never jams, it'll work under almost ANY circumstance, and it's dirt cheap. The thing's god-tier compared to some other guns.
Yeah you know how it is. It's "cool" to talk crap about Hi Points. The truth is their guns work exceptionally well and when you have problems with them, Hi Point doesn't give you the run around in honoring their warranties. The whole point of Hi Points is to make the 2nd Amendment affordable for everyone. I wouldn't doubt if most of the people that talk crap also own one. Dealers sell a lot of these guns.
Yea honestly it seems like a very reliable and good starting gun for learning even if it has its flaws
Except its super bulky and uncomfortable. Who TF is ever gonna carry that? And that's the only reason to even have one. Its pointless to range with it. Might as well use something nice to shoot.
@@reidhanson4755so hear me out, I'm considering getting one. I bought my daughter a Hi-Point C9 for her first gun. I was asked by a few people why I would do that. My answer was always because I am not a gun snob who is looking for an aesthetically pleasing gun, its a weapon not a fashion accessory. She learned to shoot with that gun, in fact she and I fired off around 500 rounds of ammo today (not just through the hi-point but it fired 250). She is buying a new gun because she wants to start carrying concealed and the hi-point is not the greatest option for that but she does intend to keep it for a range and home defense weapon.
I do conceal carry a C9, but given that I'm a guy it's a lot easier for me to do so. They are cheap, hella reliable, and if you are concealing it, no one is gonna notice how butt-ugly they are anyway.

I actually really like it. I'm a Aussie who doesn't know anything and probably will ever get a firearm as it's quite the process here in Australia. But I like how cheap it is, like how reliable it is and how it's a no-nonsense straight out of the box performer at shooting rounds. It's like someone sat down and said, how can we make the easiest and cheapest pistol possible. I love that sort of design. If I ever do get a firearms license and if this firearm is Aussie legal (which I think it's not lol) I would love this as a great daily shooter at the range.
I own a C9, and yes they are wicked reliable. If I remember right that was the goal of Hi-Point when they were first founded, to make cheap and reliable firearms. The other thing that I love about them is they come with a lifetime warranty that covers pretty much everything but the theft of the gun. I garuntee you if the fellow in the video sent that thing in for repairs, they would either fix it or replace it free of charge.

Silent Jay People hate on them because they expect more out of firearm manufactures. They see a cheap gun, and they see a company that cuts costs at the expense of others. The fact it looks unrefined/ugly only exacerbates it. Calling the things "hi point" also rubs people the wrong way. And they're heavy. Fair enough. These are valid criticisms. I'm not one of those people. I used to be when I first got interested in guns, but I was merely parroting what others said. Hi points continue to prove themselves as reliable tools in nearly every video I've seen on them. As far as functionality goes, the only issues I've seen were magazine related. If you did these "tests" to nicer guns, I HIGHLY doubt they'd do much better if not worse.
Hi-Points are among the most popular guns used by criminals because they're cheap throwaway guns after committing a felony.
+CaptainDerp - Me neither, and I'm quite the "gun guy". I actually see nothing particularly wrong or ugly about the Hi-Point offerings. I haven't had a chance to shoot one so I can't speak to the ergonomics... but I've got a wrist anatomy that makes the much praised Glock ergonomics feel clunky and awkward in my grip - I have to tilt my wrist downward at an uncomfortable angle to get the sights to line up. I'd never buy one, no matter how much other people rave about them. Who knows - maybe a Hi-Point would fit me perfectly? Point being, if it fits in your hand, works reliably, shoots anything fed to it, and won't blow up in your face, I'm down with it. "Ugly" is not really a consideration at all.

Mine works too. Every time.
Own one myself. And just to anger people use it in competition
You can't make old videos like this still available! Now I am thinking about getting a hi-point 🤔
Awesome video my guy.
If you tape 50 Hi-points to your body, its basically level 4 armor.
iDon'tKnowWhatMyNameShouldBe and you can get all of them for the price of real fucking body armor
THE POWER OF FLEX TAPE
TheBoltMaster the thing is would it still shoot
@@kilikianolee4876 compels you
...and still cheaper than a level 4 body armor
I guess you just gave the Hi-Point like one of the best promo videos lmao
steve fazio marketing genius he set off KZhead and sponsorship
You didn't hear? After making that video hi-point cashed him out for that video.
Alexandra Bravo what do you mean by “cashed him out” ?
Jordan Coronado paid him
Cashed him outside how bout that
I’ve owned one for several years now. I shoot with it regularly, 100-200 rounds. I never had a problem with the gun. I always clean it after going to the range and that may help. But it does not have reliability issues, accuracy or any kind of issue really. So for $160 is a great option.
I LOVE HOW YOU ARE WORKING WITH HI POINT PISTOLS AND STILL MAKE FUN OF THEM ALL THE TIME 😂
The Hi Point. Nokia of guns.
more like yugo fuckin idot
I sense the irony...
BloodyRustVideos facts
No the nokia was an amazing phone
No, Nokia would have bounced the bulled back to the shooters face.
I bet $250 that the five seven won't survive what you did to the hi-point
Good sir, you put the dollar sign on the wrong side.
Sean Kelley there you go xD
A R E Y O U S U R E A B O U T T H A T ?
Dexfire the five-seven fires 20 rounds of, like the namesake, 5.7x28mm rounds. They are miniature rifle rounds ment to fit this specific pistol. The man who made this gun more than likely stress-tested multiple prototypes before putting it on the market. That's the smart thing to do with any gun before putting it out there to sell
Sean Kelley no he didnt
I had fun watching this video thx!
Give it another 10 years and Matt will be taking sponsorships for Hi-Point.
Imagine spending 5-600$ on a gun just to get shot by a Hi-Point. LOL
I'd rather get shot by that high point than a pink .380
damian steezy 😂
Why doesn’t he ever tell us what the prices of the guns are
Cameron Gentry bc guns very in price everywhere and at all times.
