While checking out lichess database you see that approximately 1 million chess players decide to play d4 as a first move! Annoying isn't it as you are familiar with e4 and you never play d4?!! That's exactly the best video for you. Try the old Benoni and punish all d4 players. Great?
Thanks a lot for this so nice old Benoni opening against Queens Gambit! Ypu have a new subscriber! 😊👍♟
White is supposed to move to d5 if black responds c5. A good player doesn’t capture the c5 pawn.
Thank you Lee! I will soon analyze this huge possibility! You are welcome to subscribe my channel!
The opposite of the Queens gambit!! Never thought that this would exist
Thanks so much for your Benonis Chess opening.
My pleasure!
The dark colors of the first board are a bit jarring to look at. It even somewhat conceal blacks pieces and makes it more difficult to concentrate on them. The lighter board @ 2:00 is by far easier on the eyes and is why its the most common in use.
I agree with you! I will take it in account in my next video. The lighter board that you mentioned is the board by default of Lichess.
This is definitely the best guide to learn chess!!!
Thank you very much for your comment
Nice video George! Very instructive. I suggest you making a video comparing 'Modern' Benoni (Nc6) with Old Benoni (c5), I think it would be interesting what do you think?😀
The Old Benoni move order cuts out the London and Trompowsky for white but has the disadvantage of allowing white to omit c4 and plant a knight there instead. This set-up gives white a long-lasting initiative, albeit not a game-winning one. It is extremely rare to face this at club level though. If white does choose to play c4, 1. d4 c5; 2. d5 Nf6; 3. c4 gets us back to the main line Benoni position without any disadvantages. All of the standard Benoni options - Benko (...b5), Modern (...e6), Czech (...e5), 4 Pawns Attack (e4+f4); Fianchetto (g3+Bg2), Averbakh (Be2+Bg5) and Classical (Bf4) - are still on the table but the amount of theory required is significantly lower than for most of the alternatives.
Don't worry my friend, I am going to carry out a research about these openings and then I am going to present them into a video. But I have already some requests for making other videos, so be active and it will be ready soon. Ok?
@@zelandakhniteblade5436 You have studied very well all these variations, it is great that I have so excited audience! thank you.
Good
Amazing video! There is a similar trap in the queens gambit accepted where black protects the c4 pawn with b5
Yes I know, would you like to watch a youtube short about it?
We like it
