      @TheExplosiveGuy@TheExplosiveGuy2 жыл бұрын
    • "Made in China"

      @medmuscle@medmuscle2 жыл бұрын
    • @@TheExplosiveGuy I'm not trying to be a smart ass, and it may not be obvious but a tube make a stronger driveshaft than a rod for the same amount of material. This is because if you locate all that material as far from the center line as possible it is more effective at resisting twist (wall thickness does play a part, but it's a balance with diameter). Think about a lever. The longer it is the more force can be held. Same principle here. More material farther from the axis of rotation makes a stronger driveshaft versus a solid one of the same weight and material. The larger the diameter the less effective the material at the center of the rod is at resisting twist. This is why almost all modern driveshafts are hollow. In heavy duty race applications like KOH they actually gun drill the axle shafts because the material at the center of the shaft is not effective at resisting twist and just adds to the weight of the shaft.

  • I remember growing up as a kid and my father being a trucker. I loved traveling the country any chance I got to be with my father. I would often stay up all night especially when in the bigger cities or there was neat things to see. It was even cooler when you would pull-up to a red light and have a truck next to you and you'd look over at them looking back at you and you just knew.. As soon as the light changed it was hammer down..Was MUCH cooler than this because these were modified diesel trucks that ACTUALLY were used for work but their owners had taken alot of pride in working on them. You could always tell the most badass truck's as they would blow past you even fully loaded like you were standing still(44,000lbs)

The fact that all the components can take that kind of torque is insane...
