Loved the appreciation for Vini. He really gives you the (very) unique blend of natural skill/entertainment to match elite output in big moments. Probably the biggest x factor player in Europe in the last 2/3 seasons.
Everyone will remember the movement and the goal but his pass to Rodrygo which caused the penalty was world class
Cams hit the nail on the the head. Sancho played well but people are overdoing it. United fans who hate Ten Hag are loving Sancho and vice versa. Personally, I don't think he's got the mentality to make it even though United is a complete mess right now. Best thing to do is part ways
Agreed, we all know Sancho is super talented but I don’t think his playstyle suits the Premier League

Sancho spent last night terrorizing one of the best, most physically gifted fullbacks in Europe. I really don’t think he would have an issue with the physicality of the prem if he had better players around him. It was clear last night that the gulf in technical quality between Dortmund and United is actually massive. Sancho, Adeyemi, Maatsen, Brandt were all passing and moving at such a high level, which is what Sancho thrives on. You try that at United and you have AWB or McTominay losing the ball instantly or Bruno launching a random 30 yard diagonal. It just doesn’t work. I agree that there might be application issues at times but I don’t think United was ever the right context for his skillset

You dont have to build a team around Sancho. This Dortmund team isn't built around him and he's still performing. He's just playing a team that has structure. Mbappe as a 9 reminds me of Ronaldo as a 9 they cant play as a solo ST they need someone next to him. As a Madrid fan I'm worried about his fit within the team. 3 Lws in your front 3 cant work

Im a utd fan- i agree. very, very happy for sancho. looks happy and confident, and is now playing to match. i think his failure at utd comes down to many things- him joining in utd’s worst season (ole/rangnick) prob till now, general dysfunction at the club, not playing his preferred position at times i guess, and pressure of playing in england and for united what with the media and all. on the other hand, sancho individualy also underperformed from day 1 at utd. he never ever showed any fraction of his talent and potential, even signs of it, in his first season and very rarely since. one thing i’ll give utd credit for is giving him the time to recharge and train alone last season because he was clearly off it- something i don’t see many teams do and was good management of a young player imo- and he still didn’t perform at allll after that, not even a little. i think all of these factors come into play which is why i think i would understand utd bringing him back under this new structur, or selling him this summer. i’d be reasonably happy with either and hope it works out for him wherever he goes.

People have a lot of concerns about Mbappe as a 9 but as a Madrid fan, I agree with Lyes here. He’s basically gonna fill the Benz role where he drifts out wide, drops deep, and links up with Vini and Jude. He won’t be a regular 9

Mbappe didn't have a great game, but he was way better than Jude. Hitting the post, being a threat all game, that little flick between the defenders to Dembele (I think), whereas Jude did virtually nothing for 80 minutes and got subbed off.
Jude was sick and just came back also mbappe should be held on vinicius level standards not a 20 year old midfielder having he's true world class breakout season mbappe underperformed badly compared to players of he's level vini same way Jude underperformed compared to he's level musiala

regarding mbappe perfromance i feel like we're still recovering from the messi ronaldo era where if you claim to be the best in the world, you can't have a single game off, you almost have to be a 8,9/10 every game. what we're seeing now is what the best players were like pre messi and ronaldo and thats where football is headed. it'll take another 8-10 years before we get back to how football was like back then.

People who slate Mbappe a lot for performances such as these don't understand football and his value. He's being played out of position in a team thats nothing special. They cant even dominate possession against Dortmund and yet he still manages to be incredibly dangerous and is very close to scoring despite these circumstances. Mbappe is naturally a player who regularly attempts very difficult and low percentage actions. Thats his job, he wins games. We havent seen a player in this century decide big games as consistently as he has despite playing in far worse conditions than certain players and people are still shitting on him for not dropping back and hitting diagonals on the halfway line. 95% of football fans dont have a clue about the sport they watch every week. Hilarious stuff.

It’s not that sancho can’t hack it in the prem cams we’ve seen smaller and skinnier players peforms at a high level in the prem (Bernardo silva David silva Foden) it’s fault of both parties sancho wasn’t working hard enough and the environment wasn’t good for sancho simple he’s in a environment now where he wants to work hard and also performing well sancho can definitely play well in the prem put him in most teams in the prem he’s performing believe that

Mbappe is so incredibly overrated, is he a good player and a very good goalscorer yes, but in cup football Mbappe has a history of being a ghost. Mbappe isn`t even the most important player for France, he is France`s best goalscorer and moments player sure, but players like Giroud and Griezmann are the reason that Mbappe can be free to roam around. i disagree that Mbappe gets hold to a different standard, to me he is the most protected superstar in the world, if Haaland, Vini Jr, Bellingham etc has a had game or looks bad, they get killed, but when Mbappe has a bad game or he disappears, nobody wants to talk about it, and would rather make excuses for Mbappe due to him being a world cup winner.
