    • im definitely a big belmo fan, he is my #4 favorite bowler ever and i just really wanted him to win this one but its good for tackett to win, but the 5 show drought that he is going on now isnt good but he just needs to rest up, its honestly insane that tackett only has 4 majors but hey he is young, he will definitely get more and i just really want belmo to get #16 or #17 then retire. but we will see

  • So Belmo’s my favorite bowler. EJ was my favorite when I first started bowling about 6 years ago. Something about this match felt special to say the least. Belmo’s a stoic guy, who doesn’t stop working til the job’s done. When he doubled in the 10th and let his emotions out before he finished striking, it made me feel like EJ was the first one to stand up to him and his legacy in a long time. EJ seemed to have this newfound confidence this season, and it might’ve been the best season we’ve ever seen. Best match ever? Idk, I haven’t watched everything enough. My favorite match? Probably. It really was a culmination of everything that makes bowling and these players great. Awesome video, well made. I really enjoyed.

      @MrMice...@MrMice...9 ай бұрын
    • @@MrMice... I agree with this statement. Ever since USBC legalized string-pin bowling, I have been praying that my local alley doesn't add them. Just like they said to Belmo when he was starting out, I'm going to say the same with string-pins. It's a travesty to the sport. I guess you just have to wait for the right time when the PBA tour is active for it to get higher up in the ranks.

Still, this is a close second.

    @maasymoo@maasymoo7 ай бұрын
    • Yes, that match came to my mind too. As exciting as the match was, it seemed to be made even more so with Pete struggling with internal demons and someone distracting him in the audience. The stress was written on his face like a pressure cooker as he focused on his game until he threw the clutch strike for the win and the pressure release with the iconic, “Who do you think you are? I am!”.

This year, as other years, he put together some titles and EARNED a while lot of money relating to professional bowling standards. Both of those players are very levelheaded and likeable. As far as the best match ever is concerned, I don't believe that there is any way possible to ever have one UNTIL a two player, maybe more than two bowlers, match takes place in two or maybe more bowling centers AND encompasses a lot of games. For example, the 100 game matches that took place during what was the tournament called the All Star. In the 50's. Just my perspective. And my opinions. 😄😄

  • Can’t lie though seeing Tacketts Dad mock Belmo at the end was a little crappy, I dont think Belmo ever does his boom to be a jerk just his way of celebrating a strike. Happy to see Tackett win though he bowled great and deserved it.

  • I'm sorry, but that suoer clam cup where he faced McCune was a typo. He was the #2 seed and Belmo was #1.

  • At the pro level, isn't the pressure on players to not strike on every frame?

  • Bro as someone who watched bowling in the late nineties early 2000’s I LOVED Belmonte but coming back and seeing everyone get called blankO just cause they have an O in their name makes me wanna puke

  • This video is excellent, especially with the bowlers’ backgrounds leading up to the actual final match! But what’s up with the background music. Bowling is not hip-hop, and the heavy bass is uber-annoying while trying to watch. And as a side note, I find that same thing happening with TV programs and even TV commercials.
