Other than his opponent being dropped by weak jabs, what did Eubank really have to offer in this fight? Based on this performance, GGG still beats Eubank Jr., quite easily I'd say as well.

  • Eubank Jr looked amazing in the first 4 or 5 rounds in my opinion. His movement was great to watch. The fight simmered down a bit as it went on but Eubank was in complete control. Seemed like he was just coasting and trying to avoid being headbutted or put in a headlock by Williams. I really loved the final 30 seconds of showboating as well, after how Williams behaved before and during the fight he completely deserved to be embarrassed like that. Eubank went into enemy territory, dominated the fight and made Williams look like a right mug, job well done.

I remember years ago everybody was talkin so bad about him sayin things such as he had no jab, he was hot headed, didn’t listen, was just an explosive puncher, etc, but look at the young lion now! He has one of the best jabs I’ve seen in a long while and he was touchin Liam at will with his jab! • A stroll in the park for Eubank, yes it became dull after round five or six but doesn’t mean it was a poor fight just because Eubank used his skill to floor Williams four times then avoid any unnecessary damage to either fighter...that’s boxing.

    @punkoid76@punkoid762 жыл бұрын
    • What in god's name are you talking about? It wasn't remotely a stroll in the park at all. Williams was outboxing him in pretty much all of the rounds he didn't touch down in and he was outboxing him in those ones prior to getting dropped. And the fact you cite ''four times'' when one was clearly a shove says it all. Outboxing someone doesn't = running, swinging wildly and missing, mocking and taunting and being outworked. Williams swept the second half of the fight sans the round with the bogus knockdowns and this narrative is was a domination by Eubank who ran for dear life in the 12th and who despite his post-fight lies was reluctant to engage throughout after tasting Williams is highly comical. He seems to have improved and still is improving, that is great! He really is an entertaining fighter. Hope to see him in good fights in the near future!

  • What was Eubank doing?? After the three knockdowns in the first three rounds , Eubank had Williams controlled like a puppet on a string, but then failed to capitalise on that through the use of feints and decided to just stay out of range and hope to catch Williams on the way in. He was also goading Williams into fighting for the middle of the ring, but Eubank would just spring backwards every time Williams would attempt to close the distance... So, in hindsight, I’m kind of disappointed with Eubank for not closing out the fight early and getting some much needed practice fighting on the inside, whilst in the ring, in front of a big crowd at a big event. Why is this event being held in Cardiff?? Oh, I see now, Williams is Welsh...🤤 Anyway, I’m hearing that Tyson Fury is fixing to fight Dillian Whyte in Cardiff too, at the same arena, most likely... Why? I would have thought the place to do a big time fight-night event like that has got to be the one and only, king of capital cities, London Town!! Surely Dillian Whyte has to prefer to fight in London, but it’s something that we can only guess about for now since Dillian Whyte has been muted 🤐 for some reason, perhaps legal, perhaps not? Anyway, we shall see. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Fury vs Whyte fight doesn’t even happen...🤷‍♂️🤣😂💩
