  • Cox voice is worth the price of admission. I can’t wait to see the show.

  • Saw the San Francisco run twice. Every single voice in the show blew the roof off, and they updated the humor for today. Don't walk, run to see this.

  • What an awesome show. Wayne Brady moves like he's still in his 20s. The entire cast sings the house down!!!!! Great experience!!!

  • This show is so good. The staging is beautiful. The writers did an excellent job with updates while keeping what should remain classic. Theater vets and newbies will enjoy it. The vocal performances are other worldly. I just saw it at the beginning of the month and would pay again if offered the chance.

  • I still listen to my vinyl originial broadway cast of "The Wiz" :) (April 2024). I even saw it in Washington, D.C. back around 1980.

  • Saw this in Los Angeles and it was awful. I had such high hopes when it was announced, and it was a total let down. To quote a friend who also saw it, she said, "I didn't know Walmart sold Broadway costumes." Singing was mediocre at best. Most of them sang sharp and never adjusted to the pitch. Choreography was high school level. Wayne Brady was about the only redeeming thing about it. Best of luck on Broadway. I think you're going to need it.

  • The singing is great and has potential. I didn’t like some of the “liberties” they took with this production as I felt it takes away from the story and I wish they would have honored the original play more. It could be better and I hope that there are improvements while they are on Broadway. If they fix the costumes, story, tweak Glinda and The Wizard, their Broadway run could be long.

  • Saw this in Los Angeles and it was absolutely terrible. Great singing, but everything else was on the level of an amateurish High School production. Just not good at all. I'll stick with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson in the phenomenal film version. This stage show was a D - minus
