I thought having the main characters holding a picture frame of their families for a photo shoot was very cool and creative. Zack’s best as a visual storyteller so he really made that entire opening shine as bright as it could. And so happy for Dave Bautista absolutely crushing it in the leading role!!

Army of the Dead had sooooo many interesting story points that were great and far more interesting than the heist but he didn't pay any of it off . That is the stuff i wanted more of (Aliens/Area 51, the Zombie hierarchy/zombie baby, the tiger/horse , the terminator like zombies , the desiccated zombie rain tease , etc ) that ended up being pointless . The way the film ended up i am not even sure why he put it all in

Then hit me with the "franchise" train that i will be fully into cause of all the pay offs already served to me . That is how you sell it . Give me all the great things in one film and then hit me with MORE of that same stuff in the future . The way this film ended up it seemed more like a pilot that they were not even sure was going to go anywhere . This movie had zero pay off of any of those things and has killed any interest i have in what may or may not even happen . The worst part is i know he can make a great zombie movie ( Dawn of the Dead ) he just clearly can't write one

Vanderohe never got bit but at end he was, remember what deiter called the vault, gateway to another realm, then threw van in to save him, he never got bit but after he came out, he was. There are literal articles pumping out about this, again deiter lied about his past, he already cracked 3 such vaults and knew about timeloop all along, vanderohe first put up the theory, and acted too wierd, he even knew about the bomb timing change without going up, when zeus picked him up they both looked same, even the name of the vault literally means twilight of the gods, as deiter said rebirth or destruction And zack did tease a lot of that on latest fim junkee livestream, even teased that deiter is alive. It doesn't explain the robo-zombos (probably my biggest unanswered question of the film), or the UFOs, or the zombie baby (which was fascinating, but really weird btw), or Zeus's blue brain matter, or the overall nonsensical motivations of Martin and Tanaka (i mean, surely if the military were the ones who accidentally released the zombie outbreak in the first place they would have another sample on hand), or Vanderohe escaping from the vault which would without a doubt have an automatic locking system once closed, or Vanderohe surviving walking through irradiated ash and fallout after he miraculously escaped from the vault, or Vanderohe's extensive transformation time period after he was bit (which seemed like it took at least an entire day or so, which I'm sorta willing to give a pass since people said the radiation messed with his infection process) or any of the other crazy unexplained things.

Dawn’s intro painted a really frantic and disturbing feeling that stayed all throughout the film. Sucker Punch showed the exact contrast between the image of the film (sexy women with guns) and what the film really is (a dark and depressing fight for survival), I still think it’s one of my favorites. Army of the Dead painted this crazy, fun, apocalyptic action-frenzy, while slowly dissolving into a dark and depressing drama. Which again, stays within the film all the way through. Zack is a master at doing these things, and I will never get tired of admiring and overanalyzing his films.

  • the title sequence was surprisingly interesting and weird, the portraitures broke the tone for me a bit. I was def. rooting for soccer mom, I felt the emotional beat. and I love the Watchmen title sequence. thanks Netflix😀

  • My film school was literally watching and studying Snyder's movies. Dropped out of college and made my own war film after being completely entranced by the unique look and feel of Watchmen. Thank you Netflix for supporting such an inspiring artist, absolutely can't wait to see what's next in the #AotD universe!

  • It amazes me what Zack can deliver, if he’s given full creative control. The movie is so epic and so fun. It’s an emotional roller-coaster packed with horror elements and well-crafted action sequences. The music is insanely good. Thank you @ZackSnyder.

  • Netflix knows what fan love about Snyder movies... I would love to see individual breakdown of scene over the course of time... Like wen we get prequel we get some more details and insight... Learn more about his style and approach. Concept to reality book should be available along with merchandise

  • My favorite Snyder film moment has to be the classic dual camera zoom in/slow-mo fight sequence in 300. So intense and visceral, it feels like the movie takes hold of you and pulls you into the screen! I also love the innovative way in which he shot that scene by using two cameras with differing focal lengths and then stitching them together to create the artificial crash zooms.

  • I love this kind of stuff; listening to my favorite directors talk about their movies is so cool to me. Zack Snyder tells such a good story with his title sequence: mixing the feelings of “Wow! This movie is awesomely bloody” with “Wow! That little girl just died”

I love him .... from the beginning with the scene where the dangerous cargo goes away .... the tension that is built up right from the start .... how the situation is out of control device and the subject is free! .... from there I already knew the film was going to be really cool !! and I wasn't wrong😍. I had fun right from the start, for me absolutely a special fireworks display in 2021! thank you Zack Snyder for this movie😎💪🙌
