Most of us out there love violence, whether its through movies, shows, video games, sports, or fighting, we can't seem to get enough. But why are we so drawn to chaos and violence? after all, the more brutal the knockout, the better, right? In this video we go through the research to explain why humans are hardwired to love violence.

watching mma is what keeps me from being a serial killer
Try Playing videogames like fight night champion it's a good game really relieve the thrist for violence or GTA 5 if you're in to guns and cars
Damn bro so you are a psychopath
All people are technically born to love certain things. Everything we like is technically in our DNA, and as we mature, our genes dominate us more. I can't fault anyone for liking anything, because it's most likely in their blood and thus, something they didn't choose. Fighting is in our DNA and that isn't limited to physical aggression. Banter, politics, and aggressive forms of music light our eyes up too.
those are good points, its crazy to think why so many people love getting riled up over things like politics, but if you look at it like a form of 'fighting' or aggression, then it makes sense
Those are some great points, we should've added those to the video!
we shouldnt forget that aggressiveness is a trait that had an adaptive advantage for a long time. We are the decendants of the most aggressive humans
That's also true from my point of view. I've had some sparring sessions and been to metal concerts - those are some of the moments when I occasionally felt most intense euphoria Btw, what is that movie at 0:40 ?
@@Marec6 ong bak, my favorite martial arts movie
Great video
Thank you!
I wouldn't say it's about the love of violence. I believe deep down, it's about the love of testing one's own abilities, like resistance, endurance, learning ones limits. People who say they love violence are more than likely emotionally immature and see violence as a tool to have power over others whenever their ego is hurt. Plus, competition requires strategy and tactics which is a great foundation for exercising critical thinking skills. That's just my take on it, take it or leave it, just don't choke on it.
The problem with your theory is we could test our own abilities in ways that don’t involve violence. Yet violence is still everywhere . Humans love watching violence.
I don’t understand human beings.
We are very weird
Do you understand animals? Because what’s being explained in the video is exactly the same in the animal kingdom.
Thank you for sharing, I learned a lot of things from your channel and I’m enjoying MMA more than before ;)
I'm glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
