  • 'You dont submit someone, you force them to surrender. You dont win a decision, you dominate your opponent. You dont stop your opponent with strike, you render them defenceless. This vocabulary cultivates efficient conclusions.' That's some straight up art of war shit.

  • I could listen to these two talk about martial arts all day long- what a great, flowing conversation. Both listening and allowing the other to speak, no one upmanship or bragging. 3hrs 48 minutes long and I listened to it all in one session. This was a class interview.

  • I too have been drawn to warrior's life. In 2002 I left martial arts and joined the marines to be a real infantryman. I am still alive and have just realized how my brain has been working. I am brought to tears about what Dan said about we can perceive fear and that's enough to make us behave like victim. I feel strong in a way I have struggled with, to be at peace in peace. To leave my war behind me. To forgive myself. I am still alive

  • This is a fantastic conversation that I feel enriched by, and am grateful for being allowed to witness. Thankyou. 7/10 sounds like psychological control through dominance, explored with clarity of mind, recognizing that another person's perception may render one's "act" effective, without the necessity to enforce with violence of action. Please bring more - many more - free form conversations. Slainte bhah.

    • @@raspberryape thought it might be automatic, either that or an editor with a sense of humour:) seriously though if it’s automatically cutting between three views from one camera based on movement, gestures/head movement 99% of the time it’s doing a great job
