Overnight Boat Camping Solo Adventure - Heavy RAIN & Wind - Historic Search | ASMR No Talking

I Googled my symptoms, it turns out I just needed to go boat camping! 🤣
Summer heat and health kept me from camping on the boat alone for a while, so it was really nice to find time to get back out there. I didn't let the heavy rain and high winds stop me from going on this adventure. My setup was tested for the first time in these conditions though.
Trying different clothing for these conditions was also a little worrying. After getting soaked on my last trip (I've learned that you get wet on a boat from windy and wavy conditions more than rain!), I needed to test and find a better way to stay dry and cozy.
Discovering a comfortable spot to sleep on the boat overnight in the rain and wind was another challenge. With winds of +25Knots (+46km / +29 miles per hour), it's not easy as these high winds seem to bend around most spots that would provide shelter.
To put a bit of fun into the trip and motivate me to get out there in these conditions, I decided on a fun challenge. There is a historic canal built back in 1922 on this river. Most people (including me) unknowingly motor right passed it. More than 100 years ago, it was well-used. Now it is overgrown and is a challenge to find through the thick vegetation.
All this whilst also wanting to relax and recharge, you wouldn't be blamed to think that maybe the two work against each other.
Please let me know how you think it turned out and ask any questions about the trip you would like to know answers to in the comments below.
If you would more like detail on the area of this adventure (Including markers to the historic canal, I place all my helpful information in the free Deckee Boating App here: bit.ly/3BqQL2y
As always, it's helpful if you like, subscribe, and share with others.
Enjoy the solo Unintentional ASMR No Talking adventure!

    • Thanks for watching again 😀 The sailing clothing worked very well. The reinforced seat and knee pads were really important compared to a normal surfing wetsuit pants. The top being zippered was also a winner. These will be my go to clothes from now on.
