True. One of my favorites as well. He could ball. I love a qb that's not afraid to put his head down & run the ball. Plus he wasn't an easy qb to sack. Seen him break numerous tackles in the backfield to end up making a positive play instead of a sack. But ya know, when I saw Mac Jones play, I knew that no freshman was going to beat him outta the starting qb job. And I think if he had been our qb for all of 2019 we would gave beat LSU & Auburn. His in-game inexperience is what lost the Auburn game. And I also believe that any NFL team that needs a qb & passes on Jones for someone else will regret it. And that includes the Jags that are supposed to go with T Lawrence! I don't think Trevor Lawrence is going to be a good pro qb, I just don't. It's nothing I can put my finger on, IDK, I just see him as being kinda spoiled & as soon as things get difficult he gives up. He's not the type you want on a team that loses as much as the Jags. You want a qb that's going to keep trying to win, no matter what.

Eddie should have won the Thorpe Award. Eddie was the best player in the secondary in college football. He was playing like Deion Sanders, LeRoy Butler, Charles Woodson. If he hadn't gotten hurt in that Texas A&M game the next year, Alabama would have had back to back Championships.

Gary actually made a really good point, how the hit was 100% legal - while it obviously is a rough play and you know Mitchell felt that.....both Ragland and Mitchell got up under their own power. Shows it's entirely possible to play the game with a physical nature, but minimizing injury.
Still more injuries occur to knees and ankles than head (concussions). The targeting penalties is an attempt to weaken the game, along with the new limits on number of practices. And it's working! I remember checking my ESPN app at kickoff and seeing that the betting line was EVEN. Every FBS game that I can think of that has had a closing line of EVEN and involved a true road team, the true road team has won. My selection size is pretty small; only about eight of those games come to mind, but then, I don’t think games close with EVEN lines very frequently.

This game reminded me of 2008. Bama had no chance then. in 2015 Bama had lost to Ole Miss (now we know why) and it was just gonna be a walk in the park for Georgia. I'm a Georgia supporter, and I believed that there was no way in heck UGA was going to win this game. Why not? I believed the pollsters completely overreacted and that Alabama was underranked. That, and the betting line at game time according to my ScoreCenter app was "EVEN." Of all the college football games I can think of where the line was even at game time, the visiting team won.
