  • The first touchdown Georgia scored wasn’t even a touchdown . He was clearly out of bounds when he reached the ball to the pylon. To bad they didn’t do reviews then because it clearly shouldn’t have been a touchdown. Also the punt return for Georgia shouldn’t have counted either . There was a clear plain as day block in the back right in front of the refs. But Alabama won anyways but Georgia got away with several penalties that should have been called .

    • @@grahamfam03 Great post! You agreed with my basic premise but disagreed on one particular thing I said. Now looking back on it I think you are right. Those three guys were better college QBs than Stafford. 2 of them won Heisman's and McCoy finished 2nd in the voting. In fact Stafford was not even in the top 10 voting for Heisman that year.

      @joeblow2069@joeblow20695 ай бұрын
    • @@joeblow2069 thank you for the response. Still, Stafford was the top pro QB prospect that year and that carries a lot of weight. That's why he went 1st overall. He was great with a cannon for an arm and you were correct... had (probably) the best RB and the best receiver in the country. If Georgia's defense had what it took to match that offense that year, 2008 may have been a completely different story. Sam Bradford benefitted from everything around him, as well as being a really good QB, and found himself with a Heisman trophy and found themselves in the national championship game. However, Colt got the best of him in the 'Red River Showdown' and he ran into a relentless Tebow and Gator team in the final game.

Since the Beginning of the 2014 season (18 games ago), Alabama has only given up ONE run of 10 or more yards inside the tackles. Only ONE, in 18 games. • +ROLL TIDE Graham That is an impressive statistic. I still think Saban made a mistake pulling Bateman early in the Ole miss game and I worry about Coker's consistency and quite frankly his intelligence. Saban starts Bateman for his speed yet doesn't run the zone read option once?? Then has a high completion percentage and the one interception was actually caused by Stewart running the wrong route and then Saban pulls him? By now he could be relaxed in the system and we would have a running threat at quarterback. Plus Bateman can throw very well! Look at his videos. The commentators stereotyped him as a not very good passer because he can run so fast. Also, with Coker starting all year we will now have another circus for the starting job next year which I really think hurt us against Ole Miss. Saban waits too long!! That said, I want us to have the best chance to win and make it to the playoffs so if Coker is the guy then we should coalesce around him, the team and the staff and make a spirited run for it!!

  • New UGA coach although he has never coached a single game in his life said it best on the practice field to the Alabama players Monday the week of this game, "Guys, we done found out Georgia is wearing Black for this game, is that not great? I told you they were scared of you! Hell they are dressing up to attend their own funeral!" Yep, UGA that decision to wear Black intimidated us so bad. Just like several years down the road when Richt unveiled his new plan to intimidate Bama when he told his doggies, "Boys, when they try to run onto the field go block them from the field and BARK at em!". Well as luck would have it for UGA the refs ruined it and told Richt, "Now that ain't legal Mark, you got to let them on the field". Well Richt tried to keep the Tide off the field that day but justice won out and Georgia had no choice but to try to beat Alabama on the field. ... ... WHAT? Oh come on you know what happened. Same thing that always happens when these 2 teams play a game that means something concerning moving forward about which team will have a shot a a national title. Like always, Alabama whipped UGA's ass again that day like always. ... ... WHAT? Really? Yes Yes Yes, of course Alabama won the National title that year. Oh and a side note, Mark "Bark At Em" Richt was fired at season's name and UGA brought in the next loser Kirby "Fake that Punt" Smart was hard who continues on the tradition of breaking UGA fans hearts to this day. Yes Sir, in a span of 4 years Kirby Dumb has added 2 more UGA heart breakers to the storied tradition of Georgia and many claim the two biggest heartbreakers of all time. WHAT? Yes Yes Yes, both delivered to them courtesy of THE CRIMSON TIDE OF ALABAMA. Look no more questions, just let me be blunt. The University of Alabama has always and will always be the University of Georgia's DADDY! Herschel Walker to ya UGA, smile doggies, you still got 1 Natty back in ...1980? 1981? Um 1982? Bama had hardly no rushing attack. Stetson is not a great qb and he took a beating in the game. And he still made the throws he needed. The final score is not indicative of how tight the game was. Couple huge mistakes in 4th widened the final score. Bama imo probaly would have won if both starters had played all game. And one of the players that was behind Jameson and Metchie probaly mentally checked out in between the SEC title game and the natty. Georgia played better than they have the last couple times prior. That fact cannot be denied

    • I saved before and after pics of those guys lined up shirtless, painted black with ‘Georgia’ in white letters. Not a paint job they took much time with but they were happy, puffed up and yelling, jumping up and down, fists pumping into the air with puffed up chests over bellies and belly rolls, excited about their NFL-ready players gonna beat Bama in the Blackout Game (and UGA was loaded with talent). The after pic said it all. There those guys still stood lined up spelling ‘Georgia.’ Saggy-chested with the air completely let out. No more yelling, fist pumping and jumping up and down excited. Just complete bewilderment. It was time to find some shirts and go home. The blackout game was the beginning of the end for UGA. The Saban era had just taken off. But looking at the before and after shots of those guys is something that’s always stood out in my mind. Priceless. I’m not laughing at them for their fandom because we all know how it feels. That was just an exceptional standout in one of those “oooooohhh - noooooo!!” CFB moments. RTR 🐘🏈

    • @mynamedoesntmatter8652 very well written. I love watching the first half of this game. It, besides the opener with Clemson, was the sounding of the alarm since say 2005 wasn't just back, but at full strength like the Stallings 92 team.

      @therealfronzilla@therealfronzilla3 ай бұрын
  • Yeah, just think about how awesome Mathew Stafford & AJ Green both went on to be in the NFL. And Bama beat them in their prime! And it was basically done by the will & coaching of Nick Saban. I don't know how or why but when Saban left LSU for Miami, Iknew he would be back as the Alabama Head Coach and lead them to greatness AGAIN. And it was something I seen somehow during that movie, "The Blind Side". When they were talking about recruitment & they knew Saban was leaving LSU. That was when I knew it & saw it. So I was not surprised in the least when he became the Bama Head Coach.

  • Yeah, Saban & the offensive coordinator was being nice. Calling conservative plays & basically NOT running up the score. But Georgia insisted, if you are going to beat us, then keep on beating us. Any team that is really good, you HAVE TO keep your foot on their throat fir as long as you can. Or until the game is over.
