    • Vocalist? She's a creator/songwriter /artist. Not just a singer... It's not just the fact that she's got an easily recognizable voice and learned how to use it effectively. There's hundreds of thousands of singers out there but not many that can write and arrange interesting music and perform it

    • It's good, yes. But the choir arrangement was boooring... I wouldn't be inspired as a choir singer if someone gave me this so sing. The oo-part with harmony was just voicing a few chords without phrases. The part where the choir sang some lyrics, it was unison. That's wasting that choir's abilities. Might as well have been using synthetic strings instead

  • I know this song is about letting go of a toxic person, but to me it feels like I am letting go of my dark side. When I was in a deep funk in earlier this year, this was how I felt and I cut myself off from a lot of people. This is amazing song and Tones and I is of the the charts talented. 🥰

  • I'm a 29 year old man and this song cuts deep for me! The second verse I picture my brother (who's been in and out of jail for the last 12 years) as the guy who blames me and everyone else, who didn't try at all, who hates the world and who cut everyone off in his life who truly cared for him. Amazing voice I get goosebumps from my legs to my shoulders when she really starts getting into it!

    • Very relatable..I spent almost 22 years in custody(juvie then adult system)I'm now 41 years old...I cut off everyone etc..this song ican relate to..I've been free for 5 years, people don't just blame/cut off family etc for nothing...I was released, got help and began to own my issues...I have since not looked back...BUT that revolving door is a hard thing to overcome...this song really is special...roar emotion.

  • gotta say when Tones came on the scene her voice was like scraping fingernails down a blackboard for me, but this song and particularly this arrangement, plus the two Like a Versions (cover and original) on Triple J she did a couple of months back have made me sit up and take notice for the right reasons. Enough for me to put Eyes Don't Lie into my top 10 in the Hottest 100.
