About Drunk History:
Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation's history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, travels across the country to present the rich tales that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth. It's just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.

    • First of all that’s not that impressive, especially for such an exceedingly wealthy network. And secondly, as others pointed out but I’m going to mention anyway because I already said “first if all”, you don’t have to pay for the rights if you only play a few seconds. So either way you’d be wrong. Lol yes it feels good to point out your error and yes I feel superior now

But then he finishes with "... know about Watergate." Because that's really all that happened. We know about the Crimes, but nothing has changed to prevent stuff like that from happening again. Corruption and crime are still rampant in American Politics.

    • Believe people. Organized crime exists. Government coverup exists. Some people are in danger and have legitimate reasons for what appears to doctors as paranoia or delusions. A good first step is never hold people against their will while swamping them with thousands in medical charges. Psychiatric hospitals frequently used as prisons when the individual can't be arrested for a crime.

    • My history teacher once told me that a fact is a commonly agreed upon opinion. So yes, they were all facts. Doesn't make them true, tho

      @kissit012@kissit0124 жыл бұрын
    • @@kissit012 There are different kinds of things we colloquially call "facts" and some are agreed upon opinions, yes. If your teacher meant you should think carefully about what is presented as "factual" then s/he is very right. But not all facts are a matter of opinion. For example, on Earth we experience gravity. The United States used to have legal slavery. There is a hurricane over the Atlantic right now. A true "fact" should be consistent with objective reality and independently verifiable via observable phenomena. I'm not attacking you or your teacher, but we live in a dangerous time, when the concept offacts and objective truth is being deliberately eroded in online discussion, so we have to be very careful.
