I really like this one!
HOW MUCH?
I see a used one for sale for a mere $82k. My first two houses were purchased for less than that. Did everyone else get a huge raise that I didn't know about? With eggs at $5 a dozen, I don't see things working out well.
Thanks for checking them out.
I agree! What!!!
Thanks for the reality check, my sentiments exactly..
Yes, indeed as Airstream moves further & further away from mainstream affordability.
That's Plum Nuts, is it made of Platinum ? 🤪
That is the perfect size but $80 thousand is insane. Good luck to you.
Thanks for checking it out. There are less expensive Airstream models available.
That's MSRP.
@@colonialairstream overpriced guys…you know it. Recessions have a way of bring reality to life.
It’s insane until u realize that people are paying this for small cars that will be in a junkyard 5 to 10 years after purchase.
@@AELeeify You use your care to get to work every day. Campers are at most once a month maybe twice a year. Look, if Airstream can make a profit by selling campers for that much money then good for them. But to me that is a crazy amount of money. Its all relative.
For 80k i think airstream has reached the "joke's on you" era of their business
That's silly.
@@colonialairstream only the rich can afford your camper. But the rich go and stay in hotels.
@@soyoucametosee7860 Sometimes. I have seen quite a few in my Travels. One thing you have to consider is how long you will own it. An Airstream (Structurally) will probably still be in good condition in 10 years. A $40K Forest River product will have fallen completely apart. Look at any 10 year old trailer... yikes. But I agree this is for the wealthy.
We owned a used Airstream which we lived in for months while children were attending athletic camps. It was 20 years old. Other than a cracked waterline from someone not blowing the water lines out in freezing weather, everything was in perfect shape. We exchanged white shag carpet for practical Lino and sometimes had extra kids on the floor as well as all the beds full. It pulled like a dream, once you got going it was easy to forget you were pulling a trailer. After 20 years we sold it and 25 years hence, it’s still on the road!
Thanks for sharing that.
To deliver a presentation like this, for a full forty minutes, is impressive. Not easy to do. This guy’s good.
Wow, thanks!
Patrick is incredible! He delivers nearly flawless presentations. Amazing.
All the way through I've been thinking about exactly this; the flawless presentation. Even after a person masters the myriad details of something like this the next all important ingredient is enthusiasm. It's contagious and this guy has got it. Superb job. Where do I sign?🙂
If this video is impressive, you have not seen the _Rockwell Retro Encabulator_ presentation!! Now that's an impressive sales man!!! kzhead.info/sun/hbyDe8igaH2QY68/bejne.html
I watch these all the time because I am obsessed with owning an Airstream someday. We love Patrick!
I have terminal cancer. I was a travel nurse for years and for a time I had a miter home I drove everywhere. I retired and then was diagnosed. That trailer is beautiful. I miss camping so bad but my illness has been expensive so I can no longer can afford a camper. If I could I’d buy it in a heartbeat
Thanks for checking out the tour.
Sandra so sorry I pray you Get right with the lord
I am definitely right with my Lord
Sandra your comment us heartfelt--I wish Airstream had a loaner to give out to people like you--you deserve a journey within a journey. Go with God, I can hear him in you.
Im à frenchman. Ive also cancer. for me its always incompréhensible why you must paid when you are ill. Because here its all gratis for every everybody. Also for immigrants and also illegal ones !
the most THOUROUGH trailer demo EVER. you are so extremely knowledgeable.!!!!!
My parents owned one of the 1st airstream Bambi trailers made in the 50s from the Airstream factory. As I grew up my parents traded up in size til they reached 31 ft. Then when they retired sold it and traded down to a Bambi again. My father in his early 80's refinished the mahogny cabinets. And proceeded to take it up the AlCan Highway to the Wally Byam Rally in Anchorage when he was 86.
Thank you for checking out the tour.

I have always been blown away by the quality of Airstream trailers. When you realize however that the cost is over $80,000 for a 16-foot trailer, that can be a bit of a gut punch to your wallet even if you are financing. Great presentation BTW.
Agree...seems very expensive to me for the size, especially.
The resale values are great too.
Oh well I can dream!..😩
$80k for this?!!
Anyone would be stupid to buy it for 80,000
Give the Camera person a raise. You both have done a great job!! 👍
Thank you so much 😁
The Airstream I lived in was new 76 years ago. I’m now 78. We traveled when I was a youngster so that we could experience the United States and a small amount of Mexico and Canada. I’m not financially able to or I would get this beautiful Airstream. Love it. I think the layout is fantastic. I love to cook and would have no difficulty with this one. Love❤
Glad you enjoyed the tour.
@@colonialairstream It’s a most fantastic little critter. Just a tad smaller than the one I was raised in.
You need a CD of your instructions for each owner.
Patrick has a Phd in Airstream -- Brilliant presentation -- shows total dedication to his Job and is clearly PASSIONATE about the product he sells ! ! Well done.
Thank you Roderick.
Wow! I noticed this was 40 minutes long and had no interest in listening to the outside info and planned to bypass that and forward to the inside tour. But Patrick's kept me engaged through the entire tour. That speaks volumes of his salesmanship. Good job! I would love the Caravel 19 with the dry bath. Beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That 19-foot model is exactly what my high school friend Laurie is camping in as we speak. She loves it!
@@TeachinTV Good for her!!👍🏼 Congratulations "High School Friend Laura!" I am happy for her! Hearing this, I may have to rent one just to get the experience sooner than later. Thanks for sharing!
@@snickers2877 you got balls.
@@snickers2877 I don't blame you! If I were traveling alone and/or if my husband and I were full time, I would want a "fast escape" vehicle too, LOL, but with comparable luxury features of the Cavavel!👍🏼
My dream set up: Toyota 4Runner pulling a Caravel 😂
One of my favorite SUVs! Let's make that dream happen!
Great setup but would never work too heavy of a trailer for a 4Runner unfortunately
@@holeywell Thank you for that information. I’ll have to re-think my plan.
Yep, as much as 3700 pound
A 4 runner could pull that. It may not be ideal, and u may want to go with some lithium batteries to reduce tongue weight a little, but it is definitely very doable.
Airstreams are terrific. My bride and I lived in a 38’ for a few months 50 years ago. Very comfortable.
Glad you enjoyed the tour.
My late father had an Airstream which was numbered, and one of the real oldies. It looked like a big silver bullet. I smile at these, wonderful memories.
Thank you for checking out the tour.
Random video. Dude is a great presenter, very knowledgable and articulate. I watched the whole thing and I don't even want an Airstream😀
Wow, thanks!
It's getting so I can recite it along with you. My favorite part is when you say that you don't want your trailer passing you on the highway. Always makes me laugh.
haha, thanks Fred!
Incredibly thorough tour and interesting survey of all the interwoven systems within a machine both extremely complex and luxurious. Fascinating. When I started the video, I thought, no way am I going to watch the whole 40 minutes. Next thing I knew, I finished watching all 40 minutes. Crazy.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! What a presentation. I am so glad that Patrick mentioned he has been presenting the company for 20 years. All the time while listening I thought, OMG! It would take me all day to do everything and forget it again by the next day, because I have a right brain. Give me any art or craft, any food, good ideas and capable in all, with this fabulous *Tiny House* I would need a partner with a left brain!
Thanks for sharing!
Patrick, you're so thorough. Also a first-class presentation. Wish I could afford one.
Never say never! thanks for watching Mike.
Yeah that’s my problem too, I’m in love with airstreams, but that price…
Too thorough. Too technical.

Mere $80,000 what a joke
Wow, you are very informative, good job 😊

You are so thorough explaining the haves and the do’s and dont’s. Thank you so much. I’m an Airstream fan for many years. Love them.
Glad it was helpful!
Patrick thank you for going through this airstream so thoroughly. You answered every question that I thought of. 😃
Thanks for checking out the tour.
I’ve never owned a trailer before, but this one is definitely my dream trailer.
Good to know.
Back in the day I saw an episode of “how it’s made” you showed a airstream being assembled. The inside had a retro 1950s look with red plaid curtains and wood like cabinets. Wouldn’t mind seeing another retro decorative trailer again .
Pretty cool to watch
Season 6 episode 23 only available on discovery+ . Only play I found it .
That thing is almost $100k! That’s nuts.
Its about 20K less than 100K.
When he made the comment about all the quality work and human hours of stitching and zippers on the cushions, I immediately thought $$ added to the selling price.
It's an American icon..built to the highest standards.. And will last for generations..
@@tomthumb2815 so will a $2500. cargo trailer with your favorite camping gear in it.
Airstream is not a travel trailer company. Airstream is a boutique marketing company that’s selling you a well-crafted story. My buddy and I spent an entire afternoon at a local airstream dealership picking the trailers apart with a microscope. I have a mechanical engineering and manufacturing background. Airstreams are absolutely, unequivocally not worth the absurd heart-stopping price tag.
I've been watching your videos ever since we decided to look at buying an Airstream. We were lucky to find a 2014 25RB Flying Cloud only 3 years old & barely used for $40k. The little Caravel is adorable, but just like the current pricing on cars, really overpriced at $80k. OMG. But, if you're an Airstream fan, you're probably not shocked. Great video, Patrick!
Thanks for the viewing support.
$80K....OUCH!
Not even gonna watch will never get to see at that price.
@@user-ud4ix7if5c Yet you felt the urge to comment. Lol
Yeah, $80K for a living space smaller than my master closet? I know Airstream’s are the best, but this price point won’t see these flying off the lot.
Professional demonstration. Well done.
Thanks for watching the tour.
No one knows their product better than Patrick. There’s an art to being a salesperson, fact finding to make sure the right product is positioned and sold to the customer is key. I’m sure Patrick works this skillset without even thinking about it.
Thanks for the support Marty
He's a good salesman for sure. One key is to actually like the product(s) your selling.
And that it's part of your JOB
It is amazing how much they can get into a small space and make it work and work well. Airstreams are the best.
We agree!
But are they really the best? If this is the price to pay to get descent quality, then the “system” is collapsing.
Way back in the 60s, Renault made a little car called Caravel. It was so beautiful-EXTREMELY rare. I'm American, in my 60s, and have only ever seen one. This is likely THE best little trailer caravan ever! Living up to, or exceeding its (probably unintended) moniker heritage.
Airstream also made trailers name the Caravel in the 1960's
I drove a Renault Caravelle in the 70s. Cool little car. The roof manually popped off & we just set it driveway & headed to beach. Great memories.
I’d say this is one of my favorites and I always like when Patrick shows us such awesome rv’s!
Thanks Linda.
I kept thinking, "How does he remember every detail to show us and all that technical data?" An excellent tour! Thank you!
It's his passion for Airstream! Patrick is a walking book of knowledge. Thank you for commenting!
He’s really a computer generated image from an artificial intelligence.
You are really good at this! Love your passion! THX
I appreciate that!
Thanks for that extremely thorough walk-around! That Airstream Caravel 16RB is my personal favorite and pretty much fits well to my needs. I'm glad Airstream offers variants for someone like me who doesn't want to own large full-size trucks but still wants most, if not all of the amenities and fixtures of a large travel trailer.
Glad you liked it Melvin.
This was a lot of fun.
A great salesman knows his product.. This is way beyond..thanks ..for demonstration of this work of art
Our pleasure!
I loved in an air stream in a national forest, where rangers lived, but it was a permanent dwelling with a wooden deck and a storage shed attached. It was very easy to live in there - it had a small wood burning stove, so no fancy heating. It was at 9,000ft in a forest, so no AC - It wasn't needed. This was a 1950s(?) basic air stream. No TV and this was long before internet. It was just so easy and convenient and everything a person could ever want was right there. The tiny wood burning stove was easy to adjust to co trip the level of heat (just let more or less oxygen in). It must have been 10" by 10" at most. It cost almost nothing to live! And it was completely comfortable even when the temp was well below zero. I've wanted one ever since then.
I have "loved" in an Airstream at a rest stop in Alabama!
Wow, what an incredible presentation and what an incredible travel trailer. All the best.
Thanks for checking out the tour.
Compact And Interesting
Everything you need, in a small package.
What a brilliant tour of an awesome AIRSTREAM!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic presentation. Never dreamed there'd be so much going on the outside... before we got to the inside. But glad I stayed tuned! A great deal of thoughtful planning went into this one!
Glad you enjoyed it
Mr Botticelli, I enjoy watching all of your Airstream streams! Your the best on KZhead! I would have to say the 16' s are my favorite.
Good choice!
Patrick gives a great presentation! I love Airstreams, especially this one.

You’re a very good instructor. Many of these newer concepts to me make instructions hard to follow but you are unfolding the information in a logical sequence and in giving good reasons for each action you help the information “stick.” Fantastic.
Thank you. He sells them too, please call him 1-800-265-9019 if you are interested.
I enjoyed watching this video and learning about this Airstream model, thank you. Great job at going over and explaining everything so well. I was both entertained and informed.
Glad it was helpful!
FYI, the thing in the sink is actually to lay across the sink, like at the counter height. Is a drying rack for dishes, water drips back into the sink. Easily rolled up to put away.
Its multi purpose. It fits in the sink for a reason.
You're getting close. My dream setup has a composting toilet, an on board air-2-water generator, a tent-sized wood stove, and more solar panels. We just put those into a camper van setup for now. One day I'd like a bumper pull but the technology isn't there yet.
The space and the weight may be a challenge to get all of these into a 16' trailer that has a 13' shell.
People don't realize what things cost today..that is really not a bad price.. I own a business and the price of equipment goes up every year.....you want to play you gotta pay... He did a great job telling almost everything that you need to go forward if you're interested in one..... thanks for the video...
I'll never forget caravanning with friends who towed a monster Airstream Excella 500. We had been camping out on a lake and were headed home. We pulled off in a rest area and opened the front door to a stink I'll never forget. The black water tank is INSIDE them. They fill up fast because they're very shallow. His full sewer tank SPLIT open! Its contents ran down the length of the carpet and pooled up under the front couch. The trailer was totalled,
Very interesting. I'll have to go back, and take a second look at the presentation where he shows the black tank, and emptying it...
Thanks for the information.
Just found this Chanel... this is beautiful RV my favorite so far!!!😍
Welcome aboard! Thanks for checking this one out
Remember, the guy selling this has nothing to do with the asking price and he did a great honest job of the tour. Still, $80k plus tax is a wee bit insane for this. My brother-in-law bought a 30’ almost brand new condition with three rooms used for $15k. I’d have a hard time pulling up to him at the campground explaining how I paid nearly $90k for this!
Glad you enjoyed the tour.
Tip: Move to Oregon. No sales tax. Buy the Airstream. _Go wherever you want._ :)
Do you walk into the Mercedes dealership and complain about the price of luxury cars? Nice things can be expensive. Millions in R&D costs, top of the line materials, highly skilled labour, huge factory overhead, name brand recognition, longevity. They're not for everybody.
Partick i have been following you for over ten years when i lived in NYC. Now i live near LA In San Clemente. i love this version of airstream. If i ever bought one i would drive across the US and buy one from Colonial airstream. If only some of the bands i work with would buy these to tour with. Cheers all the best

By far, the finest sales tour and presentation of any rv, trailer or mobile living unit ever! Your 20 years sales experience stands out and you're knowledge and familiarity with all the details of this unit is astonishing! I was sold until the reality of the $80,000 Airstream price tag hit! I appreciated the exterior tour and explanations. I am new to looking into trailers and that was very helpful indeed!! I've seen other videos and they just point to a thing and say this is the >insert device name here< and move on. I understand for people who already are familiar they may not want to see a lot of 'wasted' video time on those details but for me it was GREAT. I love this Caravel, it seems so versatile and offers the comforts of home on the road!!
Awesome! Thank you! Thank you for checking out the tour.
Hey you should also check out the LANCE campers. They are very well made. They use a C&C machine to cut everything out so it all perfect! It also has Azdel walls which is better, stronger & lighter than plywood and won't absorb moisture. A game changer. They also have a plant tour to show how they are made. They are my favorite, & less than an Airstream with all the bells & whistles too. Best Wishes!
I love the airstream nest, but this caravel is awesome.
It really is!
These are so classy and so well made it's unbelievable It puts all the other small travel camper thingies to shame. I absolutely love the look of them and they last forever

Thanks for looking.
Good job as always!
Thank you Linda!
I never owned a trailer but always liked going through them to check out the features. Great video and very nice trailer.
Glad you enjoyed it
One tip I learned years ago was just after you finally finished dumping your tanks was to put between two or three gallons of water down the toilet and one bottle of tank cleaner. As you drove the motion of the trailer would slash the water and cleaner up the walls of your tank eating away at any material that was left. You especially don’t want your black tank completely dry. Leaving them completely dry just makes it even harder to get them clean.
That is a good suggestion, thank you for sharing that.
Amazing video and I especially like how you explain the tanks and how things work unlike others who skip over that. I like learning how things work and function. Keep up the great work!
Appreciate the feedback Bob.

Airstream builds some nice trailers, and yes they have been holding their value over the years, I noticed how thin the aluminum is on that one compared to earlier models. I'm curious how well these new models are going to hold up. For the price point I'd think that's one place not to cut corners on.
Glad you enjoyed the tour.

That's a great idea. You can also turn it into a guest house when you have visitors.
Great presentation! Sounds like it’s a great camper to hang out in.
It is!
Wow, you kept me interested all the way threw ! 😱 I did want to ask if a person could put 7gallon propain ( for longer term dry docking ) tanks in the front in that same space. The only thing it missed for me was " No Oven " ! 😣I love to bake things...Another plus was the front bench/table. With a few extra pillows it'd make a awesome sofa ! 💓 I could live in this easily if it had the oven ! I still think it's one awesome system !
You can upgrade the LP tanks and the LP cover to larger on the aftermarket.
