Jumanji Welcome To The Jungle was a surprise! Although I guess I'm rarely surprised by The Rock anymore. I'm sure not everyone loved it, but here's everything right with Jumanji 2...or Jumanji 1.2?
Next week a movie a handful of you have been literally begging for, for years.

www.audible.com/cinemawins is the correct link. Sorry, not spamming you guys, but I had the "C" capitalized in the description and apparently the audible url is case sensitive. WHO KNEW?
CinemaWins This has nothing to do with the comment you have here, but Your voice sounds slightly lower than usual. Are you sick?
DUDE I COLLED THAT *im too pretty* “honesty” WIN. Is that a win for me? It’s ok if it’s not.
hey CinemaWins, I know you probably haven't heard of this movie, but do you want to do an Everything Great About Legend of the guardians, The Owls of Ga'Hoole?
I love your vids, man. Keep it up! (Also please do Keanu Reeves month. John Wick + Matrix. Pleeeease?)
CinemaWins ZOOLOGY *BITCH!*
Jack Black was so good in this role that I never once called Bethany “he” in my head while watching it
JACK BLACK IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS MOVIE
He was the only one that resembled his character and I loved it
Whale Sharko I wouldn’t say he was the only one that represented his character. I think they all did a great job, but the movie did give Jack the most to work with which makes sense considering he’s probably the best comedic actor of the group. Kevin Hart’s funny but he basically plays himself in every role. Nothing wrong with that ofc, it definitely worked with this film.
@@daringducky6236 That's why I loved Jumanji 2, Kevin Hart spends a good part of the movie playing a part that's unusual for him.
very true
I'm adding in multiple wins for "Smoldering Intensity"
Rightttt.....
XD

My fav Rock moment is the look he had when he came out of the transportation shed and saw Martha kicking as*.
“IM MISSING THE TOP HALF TWO FEET IF MY BODY” *dies*
“Cake makes me explode.” And let’s never forget: “ZOOLOGY B*TCH!”
Get rid of “half”
Rebecca Toney there is a large amount wrong with that quotation
Owen O’ Malley ikr
Hup, hippos are terrifying when you find out that they 1. Are omnivorous, meaning they eat vegetables AND meat depending on their mood 2. They frequently *lick* crocodiles and crocodiles sit perfectly still and let it happen 3. They are *extremely* territorial about their water and boats in their _domain_ sometimes piss them off
Also, they stand at the bottom of lakes and rivers for hours and occasionally just jump or "bob" up to the top, and when they are down at the bottom they are nearly invisible. So any body of water could just have 50 tons of fury and foot long teeth waiting to either pop up and flip your tiny boat, and freak out on you for being in their territory, or wait for you to venture down there on your own unsuspectingly and never see the light of day again. Just knowing that there could be an entire herd of hippos just waiting at the bottom of the dark water, ready to murder anyone and anything that comes near is super scary. It's why they kill so many people! Because people just paddle across a body of water, a hippo pops up and hits a boat and gets scared and snaps it in half, people fall in the water and panic stirring up the rest and it becomes a feeding frenzy. Hippos are absolutely terrifying and as savage as they come. They kill more people than any other living thing in Africa aside from other humans or disease.
Crocs and Hippos. Best friends...except when they're not.
What I learned today: Never piss of a hippo.
Second highest number of deaths in Africa.... second only to Malaria. And they not only they are great swimmers, but they can run at 50 kph
Not on their mood, they need to eat both to survive.
"Seriously, this is _Nebula,_ guys!" ... _and_ Amy Pond...
Yeah. Anyone who didn't know Karen Gillian has great comedic timing has never watched Dr Who.
Actors (and actresses) with range like that always mesmerize me. I tell my brain that the two different characters they played is actually the same person, and my brain replies: "Come on, don't be silly!".
Though she actually plays herself a lo more in this than in Dr who or MCU. Karen Gillan was almost certainly the awkward kid in school, no idea how she managed that considering she looks well like Karen Gillan but you can tell.
Yes! Exactly what I thought. Karen Gillan will always be Amy Pond to me.
PrototypeOne I love Amy pond
"Cake makes me explode." ... Probably my favourite line in the movie. At least, that I can think of right now...
My favourite line is when Kevin Hart is on the elephant and says: zoology b**h! Couldn’t stop laughing
It has the same energy as the famous "My first girlfriend turned into the moon" from ATLA
IM MISSING THE TOP TWO FEET OF MAH BODY
@@fatterhorner Exactly the same energy.
"ZOOLOGY BITCH!!!!"
“I think he is a npc guys,” “What’s an npc? English please!” “It’s a non player character” I had this exact talk to my dad
Ikr same only its more like Me: "so this goes here which powers this causing this AND gate to give an output because BOTH its inputs are on." My dad (who is 70): ok, so what's an AND gate? Me:well for that, I'd have to bring up a 30 page powerpoint that takes 2 hours to go through
I feel like Jack Black 100% knew what an NPC is, and The Rock didn't know
Hollywood: "People keep hating on us for casting adults to play teens!" Some genius: "What if we cast The Rock as a teens, but wrote it INTO the movie?"

Wow, nice catch.

After seeing this movie with my friends I left the theatre and immediately said to them, "Well, that was far better than it had any right to be." What a wonderful surprise this movie was.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So we got Jack Black, The Rock, and Kevin Hart playing teeneagers in a game all in one movie. And Jack Black is a teenage girl. Amazing
Any reason you left out Karen Gillan?
Too amazing
Fredrik Dunge Probably just because she’s nowhere near as famous as the other 3 especially as it relates to comedy. She definitely played her role well though and deserves credit as well.
yes
And Karen
"The girl is into you Spencer." *W H A T* That got me 😂
Yea that got me to xD
Someone in my class was asking a lot of "dumb" questions to which our teacher got upset. Another guy asked "aren't you paid to answer our questions?".
OOOOOH BUUURRRRRRN!!!!!
I mean, yeah...But even so, there's a limit. One guy in particular full on BROKE our biology teacher during the sex ed part of the curriculum by asking REALLY dumb questions. Like, full-blown throw-the-chalk-on-the-ground-walk-out-the-door-slam-it-and-cry-in-the-staircase-broke. And to be fair to him, the question that broke the teacher was REALLLLLLYYYYYY dumb. XD

Everything great about Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle: Literally everything.
Yeah It is
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a living lesson of not giving up on your movies, or at least temper your expectations. On the surface, without watching it, this movie had almost no right to exist. It looks like a retread of an old movie based on a short children's book but with popular actors, including a few who famously star in some pretty bad movies (the Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black have their ups and downs with their careers) but this movie turned out to be one of the best movies of last year, taking all the dumb cliches and silly tropes and actually leaning into them to simulate a low quality 90s game and actually make the experience better. I swear, when those NPCs talk I could almost see the text boxes. Good movie. Gives me hope that things like this can still be made in today's world.
This movie had literally no business being as good as it was. And the second movie was great too. I was shocked leaving the theaters that I loved both of these movies.
you better not be classifying Nacho Libre as one of Jack Blacks failures
Karen had the haunted mirror movie. and a short-lived US tv series that I'm not sure was ever fully aired? (blanking on name, but it was a book and at least two movies, before? Woman in poverty given an education by wealthy stuffed shirts, blah blah blah, but this time in the Age of Influencers. yawn.)
@@brainlock72 super late reply but the show was called Selfie!! im forever upset that they did the marketing so wrong for that show because i genuinely enjoyed every episode
I wasnt imaging the text boxes before but I am now. I find I enjoy a movie more if I don’t have any expectations going in
"You're a total badass!" "That word you keep using. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Inconceivable!
He started the quote in this video and I got oddly peeved that he didn't finish the quote.
Can we just all take a minute to appreciate the absolute joy and optimism that goes into this channel? I mean, every video just makes you feel so good and appreciate the work of the filmmakers even more!
Emil Heje Yeah, I wish it had more recognition. It has WAY *less* subs than CinemaSins.
I know. It has such feel good, inspiring content. The CinemaSins channel probably has more subscribers partially because there's more comedic potential in pointing out flaws than in merits.
A Fangirl cinemasins feels like bashing people for the sake of it. This channel simply oozes goodness.
While I somewhat agree that there might be more comedic *potential* in criticism, I personally find CinemaWins a lot funnier. And also, you have to consider that CinemaSins has been around for quite a while longer than CinemaWins, so that probably helps with the more subscribers-thing.
Emil Heje That explains it, then! It's fantastic to have a channel that defends and verifies your favourite films, as well as the enlightening messages behind many of them.
“BE AGGRESSIVE, BE-BE AGGRESSIVE!” -Bethany 2019
6:48 Extra points to the fact that he just doesn’t die when he eats cake, he *explodes,* meaning that under the right circumstances other players can also lose a life when that happens.
Dude! How could you not win Kevin Hart riding a Elephant screaming "ZOOLOGY BITCH!" xD
I know right XD
My stepdad is named Van Pelt. I saw this movie for the first time with him. We couldn’t stop laughing. ‘The Evil Van Pelt’ was our joke for months afterwards.
I know im very late butttt Here's the thing, her speaking her mind to a teacher is VERY badass to a teen because (at least during my school years) teachers abuse their power alot and you'd get yelled at or sent to the principal's office for not doing exactly what they say or refusing to take their word as truth.
If that ain't a mood. My fitness teacher called me to the office twice last semester (both of which ended with me in tears) and then acted like nothing had happened. It was ridiculous.
Especially to Spencer who by all accounts is a coward and that’s his arc in the movie. Accepting that him being braveheart has little to do with the character he’s playing. Fridge gives him the advice he needs and finally accepts himself. So ya, he definitely would have seen her roasting a teacher as badass.
Yeah, you just have bad teachers.
Very true :D I got sent to detention once lol.
I do agree to an extent, but…I’d come back to this comment in ~4 years and see if you have any different thoughts about it.

Who da man?
This movie was frickin' amazing. I went in to it expacting a really bland cashgrab, but the comedy, the action, all the setups and payoffs and the characters were all incredible. My favourite thing in it was the pairing of the real world characters and the video game ones. Everyone got/lost something they desired/took for granted in the real world and learned an important lesson from it. Brilliant!
Seriously the character development was amazing and believable especially with Bethany
Indeed... I expected crap, especially from that chihuahua on espresso Kevin Hart. Boy, was I wrong... The Rock KILLED it, his acting was only off-beat for a few scenes, but otherwise great. Hart had good lines, but I still hate him. Jack... Black... The man was a teenage girl, what more do you want? Karren Gillan was great, campy, but great.
Watched it on my birthday. Best decision ever. But also, who didn’t laugh at “ZOOLOGY B*TCH!”
Did nobody notice the fact that there was an empty chair when they all went to the office? That alex probably would have filled if he was their age??
“I’m a map doctor.” Ugh typing out that line cannot do the amazing delivery justice X’3 Jack Black talking like genuine stuck up girl is seriously hilarioua

The "teacher remembers solitary paper" thing has been deemed unrealistic by both this and CinemaSins' original video, but y'all are forgetting that digital plagiarism checkers are standard for most classrooms now.
On the other hand, it seems that they handed them in in person
@@jop2663 Oftentimes, students have to turn their papers in digitally to the plagiarism checker before handing it in in person.

I don't know why I'm sharing this, but I just made an amazing discovery: The actor who played the Principal (Marc Evan Jackson ) is the same guy who plays Kevin (Capt. Holt's husband) in Brooklyn 99!! I never realized that until now!

Omg!!!! I love Brooklyn 99, thought I recognised him
No Win for Dwayne Johnson referring to himself in the third person, throwback to WWE days?
4th person I think
What I adore about this movie is that they did their own thing with it. When they announced they were doing a remake, I had immediately assumed they were going to do a redux of the original movie...sans Robin Williams, which would not only be a travesty to the film itself, but also almost seems like a pretty disrespectful move on their part. Kind of like when they said they were redoing the Labyrinth after David Bowey died, and everyone got pissed off. Then turn around a year later, a trailer for this came out. Most people were criticizing it for transferring it to a video game, about it all being about the jokes and how it'd just be super dated after a few years. And I absolutely loved the concept. Not only was it a unique spin, but it didn't try to reinvent the original, or replace Robin. I genuinely think, whether you like it or not, this is the best way they could have done a Jumanji remake.
I really liked how they showed the game being found on the beach as a reference of tge original's ending and how to board game changed into a video game to get him to play it. the only problem i had with it is that it had a little too much humor
I was genuinely both surprised and pleased that it turned out to be more of a sequel than a remake what with its homages to the original.

You absolutely killed me when you entered the "Moonchild" clip. I was so not expecting that xD I give props to all the adult actors nailing their roles as teenagers on the head. That's the one thing that made this movie enjoyable for me, even though I was so sad when I heard they were making a new one and Robin Williams wasn't in it... may he rest in peace. Least to say, I couldn't hate this movie. I love it too much.

oh man!! i loved this movie!! so hilarious!! The Rock, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan really steal every scene their in!! true the move isnt perfect, but its incredibly entertaining, moves at a proper pace, has hilarious dialogue, and respects the original movie while being its own thing. def one of the best, imo atleast, video-game-live-adaptations of the last few years, along with Tomb Raider, but thats another story.
It's not a video-game adaptation. Actually, movies *about* video-games (like these) tend to be good, while direct adaptations tend to be bad.
Especially jack black. He was the best actor in this film
i don't multiple people can steal every scene they're in because usually that phrase is used for one person doing a better job then the rest... just saying

MONOPOLY FOR THE WIN
During your breakfast club breakdown I would've listed Spencer as the nerd since he literally got in trouble for doing someone else's homework and the 'brains' chick would've been the basket case since she never wanted to do what she was told and the Bethany chick even mentions that she's kinda anti-social which is why I believe she matches up to Ally Sheedy's character
It's not an exact one to one for some of them. Spencer and Martha could be kinda interchangeable for the roles. Both are shrinking violets. But while Martha hides her insecurities through snarking and putting down others, Spencer doesn't hide his, but is also incredibly fearful and from what I understand is germaphobic as well. So it's kinda six in one hand, half-dozen in the toher.
i still can't believe how much i loved this movie.
5:57 Me if I suddenly turned into a guy and my friends were with me.
GODDAMMIT XD
Also, Amy/Amelia Pond. *ding*
A personal win from me was also the girl friendship that developed between Martha and Bethany surprisingly early on. Bethany says to Martha ''you're a babe, own it!'' girl positivity. and really in most movies the characters keep bickering for no reason until the last minute when they have NO OTHER choice, but these characters actually talked about their feelings. Spencer and Martha confess their feelings before the final climax even begins. Spencer and Fridge put aside their differences by talking about their feelings too. So I guess I'm just winning: honesty and communication p.s. also the fact that they had Bethany (as Sheldon) give CPR to Alex and no one said a thing about it other than that it was brave. good movie!!
I expected this movie to be a fun mess that required you to turn your brain off but it was actually worthwhile
I would’ve added a win for how they made a whole movie starring Karen Gillan and it’s only got 1 Doctor Who reference in it.
Which reference was this?
@@frde2190to defeat the black mamba that they meet in the village, they have to avoid blinking. Thinking about it, there’s also the fact that Gillan’s character is called Martha and that her costume is very reminiscent of Leela’s, but compared to works such as Good Omens, which inserts a DW reference into every other scene, just in case the audience have forgotten who the lead actor is, or Inside No. 9, which has several lines from Who alumni which refer to the show directly, that’s still pretty restrained.

Are you sure this movie is aimed at children? I get that teen movies that are actually aimed at children aren't exactly rare anymore, (thank you High School Musical) but aside from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, I thought these movies were considered "outdated" by now. (Given how they were extremely popular in the 2000s, and are no longer popular in the 2010s. At least according to the rating on Disney Channel.) It's rated PG for a reason. I can imagine ages 8 and up are the target audience, but not really ages 7 and below.

Hello Cinemawins! You're a fantastic person, and now that you're listening to Audiobooks, i'd recommend the entire Mistborn series! It's safe to say that you are a Badass Good guy. My own Audiobook, that i'm currently working on, is 'Skyhunter', whilst not being professionally made i've pushed so much passion into it that i think your ideas would really help a lot. Not asking for a lot of time, but this is a project i've poured sweat, Trademarks and blood into crafting. It is inspired by the latter 3 of the Mistborn books, starting with Alloy of Law. Edit: It is inspired by the Mistborn books, So in short: Hey Cinemawins, how about a Discord huh? I think we should spread this positivity.
Yes, yes absolutely. I can't recommend Mistborn enough. Brandon Sanderson is hands down the best fantasy author, and among the best authors in general.
+1 for Mistborn. Time for Cinemawins to open up a new channel called LiteratureWins? I think so!
I'd watch that
I would watch that. Definitely. LiteratureWins would be amazing, maybe he should open a discord?
But then he'd have to read the whole trilogy, and what about the sequels? That's a lot of time...
Karen Gillan = 1000 wins
Kenzo Mara2 ouuu yeah
I like to think that the Jumanji game is actually a tool for teaching wayward youths to straighten up their acts. The game calls to those that need to be guided on a better path. Although the game is helping it seems to not have any compunctions about punishing the players in the most severe ways possible, but if you win then all the negative things are undone. In the first movie only Alan and Sarah retain their memories when time is rewound and none of the damage caused by the game is left. This gives them both the chance to have a lasting impact over their lives and the lives of others, namely saving Peter and Judy's parents. In the second movie all the kids are released after the win and placed back into the moment they were taken by the game but retain their memories. This indicates to me that the game wants to correct the behavior of troubled youths, but will be a harsh taskmaster about it.
When are you gonna do The Next Level? It’s actually also pretty great.
CinemaWins it’s the same game from the one in the original it just evolved for for the next generation. It’s a cursed sentient game and when it realized it wasn’t going to get played as it was it transformed itself into something that it’s new owner would play. So it make sense there would be remnants of Alan in the game even though it changed into a video game it’s still the same world and locations Alan lived in for those 20 years. The game didn’t change the world it just changed how the game plays so it had to make the jungle that’s already inside the game the word of the video game.
Yeah, that's right. It changed from a board into a cartridge in the kids room. It's perfectly fine. I've no issue.
Oh so like any game developer trying to make a bigger more exciting version of a game, Jumanji reused it’s old assets.
I know I'm going to make a lot of people upset with me, but I kinda like the second movie more. Putting nostalgia for the movie and anything Robin Williams aside, I can see that it's still good, but it hasn't aged as well as I wanted. I wanted to go into this movie and say that it tried it's best but messed up everything by making it a video game. However, it makes sure to honor what came before it, update it for a more recent crowd IN A WAY THAT MAKES SENSE, and, most importantly, had fun making an enjoyable movie. Does it have it's problems? Yes, but if you can make me like a Jack Black role so much that I'm going "he was born to play that role," you done good. And yes, I think Jack Black was born to play a bratty teenage girl.
Zach Gamemaster i agree with you!!!! also bcos i only saw the first movie once and i dont understand it that much. but the second movie is so great! the cast, the storyline, and the script!
perfect pick up lines dont exi- kevin hart: cake makes me explode.
“You dont get in the water with a backpack on everybody knows that” I love that line 😂
It was great to see Dwayne Johnson actually play a character for once
Count Dooku: I've been looking forward to this
Hello there
Iridimite good twice the meme double the sand
Iridimite *General kenobi*
12:52 that image is why I love this movie such attention to detail referencing the one throw away line seaplane had about losing his first life to monkeys flying a jet!
Jumanji Fans attention: *there's a sequel on the way*
yeah with Danny Devito
I think now there gonna be a trilogy
I like i sequel...
This is one of the best sequels ever.
Pls do everything great about *MegaMind*
Pls...
.
You promise to watch it? And promote it? You might be the only one who does. :)
I'd watch it. Megamind was great.
CinemaWins YES I PROMISE i never been committed to anything but this befor. ;-;
I put this on for background noise thinking it'd be okay. It. Was. Amazing. The acting was great, writing was great, everything was so much better than I expected!
“If you have control of your avatar you can bend those rules” I see what you did there
7:30. Only the Rock could convincingly pull off 'throw through ceiling' as a fight move.
Honestly, I thought all the "good bits" were in all the pre-release trailers... How wrong I was! A thoroughly enjoyable movie for a light, easy night in with plenty of laughs.
Ngl the reference to Alan Parish had me sobbing in the cinema.
I'm looking forward to the reboot/sequel for Zathura now.
I really liked this movie. I thought it was pg not pg 13 so I was surprised when they started cussing.
At my local cinema they advertised as a completely family friendly movie. Like, they had posters saying things like “School Holiday Fun” with a bunch of movies like Coco and Ferdinand underneath.
I went to this movie not expecting to hands down love it as much as I do. You are spot on about the actors' layered characterizations and the familiarity and respect the movie shows of adventure video games. And kudos to your editing! Well done, man. I'd like to see your take on "Galaxy Quest". Subscribed ü
You missed “ZOOLOGY B*TCH!”
Funny thing about you bringing up 'The Rundown' is that it's international title is actually *'Welcome to The Jungle.'* Also I would love to see you make an 'Everything GREAT About The Rundown'.
7:37 IT'S WWE!!!! They got the F out a long time ago. As the Wrestling Sinner, I sin you. LOL!
YES!!
The Rock was mostly in WWF though...
Christian Maracle HOLY SHIT! Christian Maracle on CinemaWins!!!
Rocky started when it was WWF, I think it's perfectly acceptable to use either version
sins legend commenting on this.
When we went to go see jumanji my brother deadass said ‘how’s they get the girl in the guys body’. The explaining that Jack black was just an amazing actor really was amazing. Also when I saw Karen Gillan the way I was like AMYYY and no matter how brilliant the Rock is, Rory beats all
Multiple things can be badass
Audible is very good, you get 1 free book a month if you pay a subscription. Edit: You also can download the books and keep them even if you stop being subscribed. 2nd Edit: Damn you CinemaWins, you said all of this at the end XD
Free if you pay a subscription? Strange definition of 'free' you're using.
The one movie i'd love to see on this channel would be John Carter. An underrated movie in my opinion.
Agreed, JackOnTheBox...
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this movie. I truly liked how it differed from the original while doing its own thing. You can tell they put a lot of effort into this film
10:27 they look like two seals fighting over a grape
I really didn't think I'd like this movie as much as I did. It was pretty funny
this entire video was mildly entertaining, but in no way made me want to watch the film, till the recap, and you showed Hart saying "Climbing is one his strengths" "Ah, gotcha" "cake makes me explode" which finally made me laugh and now ill watch the film.
4:22 This is even better in hindsight now that Half-Life: Alyx is a thing... and Rhys Darby plays an NPC in it.
"I DON'T WANNA DO THIS!" Ha ha ha hahahahaha!
