As much as ya'll probably want to believe that, while Tom's second track was really good, it didn't even mac make stumble in terms of growth and relativity. Which is why like say Eminem is so feared in the rap world, as he has ended the careers of a few rappers, he even caused the collapse of the nations biggest hip hop magazine when him and 50 went after The Source and Murder, Inc.
Tom was dissing nova more by cheating on her (his song sober, mentions cheating on nova, around the same time Mac and him had this beef, since it was released in 2020, and he says a year ago)
For what it is, 1. Tom never shot at his daughter, he called him a bad dad. 2. Dave trying to say the his "rap name" is Tom's birth name is legit a diss on himself 🤷♂️

Tom couldn’t be totally pre-prepared because he addressed Lethal’s bars in his own. This was a clean win. They aren’t on the same level. My first time hearing it was very shortly after discovering Tom, if he was better I’d be a Lethal fan now, but I haven’t heard anything else he’s created, while anticipate every MacDonald drop with excitement.

Yep, an intelligent listener caught the meta diss there. Tom showed how you can diss someone through song style, and not just the words. The slowness was on purpose. The first diss song was for Mac specifically, the bait. Mac was the target audience, so he went slow to make sure he was understood, and yet Mac still didn’t comprehend he was dissing his parenting and not his daughter. When Tom and Nova started dating after being friends for years meeting in Edmonton Canada, Nova helped navigate Tom through all the pitfalls and dirty shit record labels do especially when labels wanted to sign Tom after he blew up with "Dear rappers" so they would go to some major record label meetings with NO intention EVER to sign, but just to find out how much they though Tom was worth, so he could find out what his INDEPENDANT outlook would be, obviously Tom made the right choice and NOW Tom and Nova help each other with their music and have the ultimate freedom even though they both work 16-18 hrs a day but don't regret a thing, also killing it financially!💯🔥🙏🍁
