  • Thanks Jeff. A confidence boosting video.

  • Very helpful. I’m going to try using my hands more as my comb during my next beard trim.

  • Jeff, thanks for the trim tutorial. The scissors over comb for an OCD person like me would give me time to trim rather than totally screw it up fast with the buzzer. I’ll take some of this video and go with it. Even though my beard is salt and peppered your beard is a similar pattern for mine.

  • I really dig your MANSCAPING. You are inspiring me to be a better MAN. Unfortunately both my age 61 and previous chemotherapy & Radiation treatments my beard grows very slowly and is quite thin. I can still style my beard with beard products. Thakyou for sharing these cool tips 👍🏻 Keep up these great videos. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺

  • Awesome technique. You obviously know your beard very well. So many guys are intimidated to trim and gain the experience and confidence they need. I posted a beard trim breakdown a month or so ago on my channel to try to encourage guys to trim their own beards. I definitely did more work with the trimmers than you, but there are some similarities as well.

  • I hate doing tedious things such as a beard trim .I keep putting it off until I’m in just the right mood .... yet here I am watching someone else do it ... I picked up some tricks I can add to my procrastination process

  • Thanks Jeff I wear my mask for nine hours a day and yes my beard has some weird shapes after hahaha So now I know how to trim it a bit cause I was afraid I might kill it or end up cutting it weird

  • I trimmed my beard pretty short, then I got a couple beard masks. They are so helpful, if you have to wear them. 👍🏻😎

  • I have a really thick beard and it can make my face look round if I just let it grow the way it wants to grow. Following your tips (specially for the sides) really improved my face overall shape.

  • Jeff, you're right about 2021 being the year of the big flowing beard. It's just off to a late start. Not trimming my beard for June, July and August ( a little tapering ) so come September I will be 5 months in which is my favorite length. Autumn will be awesome. It's gonna be epic! Thank you for all of your advice. It really helps. 2022 will be the year where it's obvious that everyone will be able to tell the men from the boys. Just imagine if the two most powerful and popular men in human history didn't have beards, where would they be ??? ....I'm talking Jesus and Santa. Enough said.

    • I think your correction is correct. I was a bit premature. It might really land with appreciation by fall. Agreeed with Jesus and Santa btw. :D

  • I’m 21 years old and 8 months in for growing my beard, my biggest issues are the sides of my face where my patches are obvious to be seen by others. It sucks.

  • Hi, Jeff! What length of trim-guard are you using at 5:45? I want to grow my beard to the proportions you have in this video, and I want to not accidentally take too much off by trial-and-error with trim-guards. Thank you! :)

    @davidjohnson1654@davidjohnson16542 жыл бұрын
    • i don't know. i think it was #3? i really couldn't tell, but it doesn't really matter, coz i'm not using the guard as a way to measure off the skin, i'm using it as a saftey, the guard isn't touching my skin.

  • Just use face gaiters or bandanas. I wear both. I don't ever use masks. I'm in the process of growing out my almost-short beard into a short-medium beard (if that makes any sense). And I used to live in Florida and now in Puerto Rico, so I know what you mean about the humidity. ...It sucks for the beards. Anyways, great video man!

    @Joa287@Joa2873 жыл бұрын
    • Yeah I actually sell and have face gaiters, but I prefer those for the gym not waking to a table for 30 seconds

      @jeffreybuoncristiano@jeffreybuoncristiano3 жыл бұрын
    • @@jeffreybuoncristiano Haha, yeah I can understand that. Maybe if you lay the medical mask flat over your face (just nose and mouth) and not stretch it open all the way under your chin. That might leave less of a mark on the beard. There's also face gaiters that sling onto your ears just like masks. They look kind of like veils. Try those.

      @Joa287@Joa2873 жыл бұрын
    • @@Joa287 ORRRRRl i can just trim the beard as i did and solve the problem that way! :D

    • @@jeffreybuoncristiano Hahaha! ...Problem solved! We hashed it out. That was gonna be my next tip, btw. Alrighty, take care man.

      @Joa287@Joa2873 жыл бұрын
  • Why don't you use bandana as a mask?.. Very early I've learned that I can't wear normal (medical) mask with my beard, so I used bandana whenever I had to. It's overall more comfy and doesn't smooshes your beard at all.

  • I admit I cringed when you went with the trimmers underneath your chin, and trimmed in an upward motion. Against the grain, so to speak. I know you know, obviously, with your epic beard, what you're doing, but people who aren't absolutely sure of the proper length of their trim guard can easily take way too much off by trimming upward. But I admit I also cringe when I see anyone on these videos trimming around the edges of their beard with a trimmer that has NO guard on it. Talk about NO margin for error there. Whew.

    @davidjohnson1654@davidjohnson16542 жыл бұрын
    • LOL, and you did both, Jeff, in this video (trimming upward AND trimming with NO guard!). But if anyone knows how to get away with you, you do. So rock on, but to everyone else, this is a major-pro move and you really really need to be careful. A person can knock off weeks of growth in one area of their beard by one false move in a half-second.

      @davidjohnson1654@davidjohnson16542 жыл бұрын
    • i agree. i simply forget about some things like that, because i've been at it so long now. but, yes, people should be more careful then me!

      @jeffreybuoncristiano@jeffreybuoncristiano2 жыл бұрын
    • @@jeffreybuoncristiano Jeffrey, thank you for your reply! I wasn't even thinking that you were not being careful. In fact, I'm sure you were being very careful. My point was, that you are such a pro at it. I sometimes get nervous when it comes time to trim my beard; I'm so concerned about not making an irreversible mistake, and here you are, trimming upwards and using no guard like a pro "boss!" :)

      @davidjohnson1654@davidjohnson16542 жыл бұрын
    • haha yeah. i've made the same mistake as well, but i just look at it like, to get good at something, you have to be bad at it at somep point! I've messed up many times, but now i just know when to slow down and when i don't have to be nuts about it. it's just hair after all!
