      @Sheila02181@Sheila02181 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Sheila02181, Yes, both Elizabeth and Margaret were apparently born by artificial insemination, if this thwarted Elizabeth's line to the Throne, then The Crown would have gone to Henry, Duke of Gloucester, Williams father who died in 1974. Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester would be King today and his descent through his mother, Princess Alice, would have brought Lord Monmouth's blood line back into its rightful place after Richard Scott, the tenth Duke of Buccleuch. Had Catholic James ll not taken Protestant Lord Monmouth's head off, he would most likely have succeeded becoming King. He always did believe his father King Charles ll did marry his mother, Lucy Walters. To this day, The Queen acknowledges Richard Scott. We would have seen far less stupidity.

H.M. is acutely aware of the status that surrounds her in her every day of life. The diaries of many previous Monarchs, going back centuries, dictate into quite some details of same and similar accounts and share experiences and illustrate useful guides in how to make attempts in avoiding distraction from the source of such events. • Of course The Queen is the center of attention. Since Edward is a descendant of King George II, they needed the Queen’s consent to get married, pursuant to the Royal Marriages Act of 1772, as then in effect. They are still married to each other. They had four children: George (born 1962), Helen (born 1964), Nicholas (born 1970), and Patrick (stillborn 1977). Katharine converted to Roman Catholicism in 1994. This did not affect Edward’s place in the succession to the throne, because she was not Catholic when he married her. Her son, Nicholas, also converted to the Popish religion, so he is excluded from the succession. The heir apparent to the title of Duke of Kent is George. In 1988, he married a Catholic and thereby forfeited his place in the succession. His place was restored in 2015, when the Act of Settlement of 1701 was amended. His children, Edward and Marina, are papists, and they are barred from inheriting the Crown.

    • Both were Protestant when they married. Otherwise, under the rules at that time, the Duke would have forfeited his place of the succession (as Prince Michael did). I did read somewhere that Princess Marina was not too happy with her son's choice of bride. As I have forgotten the source, I am wondering if it was true.

  • The bride is a lovely lady,and I can honestly claim that we had breakfast together!How come? I was playing at an all night event at Hovingham around 1961/2 I took in some gear to the lavish marquee fairly early,and the place was almost deserted.However I spotted a beautiful young lady wearing a stetson hat,tight trousers and a lovely blouse."Where did you get the hat?" I asked,"Oh I just returned from the rodeo in Calgary" she replied.We chatted for 10 minutes and I left to get more gear."There is Princess Alexander in there" someone said." Where" I asked."Oh she is wearing a stetson hat....." When I went back I started to apologise for not recognizing her.However,she was having none of that and was pleased to chat. I discovered that she was a musician also! Throughout the night she came to chat several times and we all finished having breakfast together,as it became light.I must add thast there were 3 bands ,so we were not tired when we finished,(and I WAS only 18/19!) I later discovered that after encountering some stress issues later in life, she taught music at a school in Hull for a time I will always remember her as a beautiful polite young lady with no airs and graces, eating butties with the band!
