Keanu Reeves has become the internet’s crush, whether he knows it or not. Normally on the channel, we cover extroverted celebrities, who charm in larger, obvious ways. What’s amazing about Keanu (aside from the fact that he’s 54 and looks 34) is that he is massively popular in spite of his reclusive and more introverted nature.
So in this video, we are going to explore why Keanu is so popular, and what you can learn to exude incredible charisma as an introvert.
⏰TIMESTAMPS⏰
0:31 - Reason #1: He directs praise towards others.
2:05 - Reason #2: He exudes zen-like presence.
3:15 - Reason #3: He uses enthusiastic hand gestures.
5:12 - Reason #4: He embraces his type.
7:03 - Reason #5: He lives generously.

    • People seem to think introverts and extroverts are polar opposites but in reality they can have almost the exact same likes dislikes and mostly the same personality except one thing introverts find it harder to trust and show themselves to others while extroverts can find it easier yo lower there walls no one Is completely one or there other

    • You're right, on that for sure. Even if it's only on a subconscious level, when nobody actually thinks "that person's so fake", we respond to the uncomplicated way someone speaks and acts on some level. Some more than others, but I think all humanity has at least some of that beneath the surface. We just get numb to phoniness because there's so much of it.

    • And because he managed a successful career giving him mass exposure. Which might relativize his virtue. Maybe he even knows he did some bad stuff to get to where he is and that furthered his humility. - Do you ever wonder how many Keanu Reeves (or beyond that) there are in the world that you have never heard about?

    • @d0cy0 - A major reason why PewDiePie is popular is because 1) very skillful self-marketing regimen and 2) with that you can always find a group of people who would like anything (example: Bob's Boogers, hah), and 3) especially if you cater to the lowest common denominator, which ties into #1. PewDiePie bought into the easy way and as such helped feed it, and if he then complains about what has become of KZhead and moves away, he is neglecting his own doing. It is a popular strategy to buy Jesus costumes from Satan, so to speak. - I have a very sensitive bullshit detector, so I see less innocent ignorance in people than many others. - PewDiePie attained great success in a really messed up system.

  • My introverted self taking notes: 1. Be 54 but look 34 2. Appreciate complements 3. Have a zen like presence 4. Punctuated enthusiasm from an introvert is unexpected and captivating to people. 5. Rub hands together when you start a story. 6. Use Visual, audio and/or kinesthetic emphasis when telling stories. 7. Be generous with your time with people. 8. Let go of things that do not matter to you, so that you can invest more time in things that matter to you.

  • In a nutshell: Just be yourself. The more I watch the more I realize that what makes these people so great is that they're being genuine and vulnerable. That's what makes them charismatic at the end of the day. They are not "trying" to make an impression, necessarily. There's a fine line on trying too hard to be a certain way and actually applying these tips and still be yourself. I think the best thing I can do is focus on growing my confidence and the rest will come naturally.

      @adriangaming4853@adriangaming4853 Жыл бұрын
    • What makes these people so great is called empathy! In today’s society it is ashamed it is usually considered a weakness and our children are not being taught empathy. I was babysitting my grandson and nephew both 4 years old. My grandson tripped hurt his arm and was crying in pain. My nephew totally ignored him…I brought my nephew over and said you see he is hurt, why don’t you help him? I can see the difference in both 4 year olds- and I know how they are being raised. My nephews parents are always working-struggling: they had kids young with nothing saved and now they are working such long hours to try to make it-they don’t have much “quality time” as the kids are left to play by themselves or be quiet and watch cartoons. My grandson’s parents saved, bought a house and decided to wait to have kids when they were stable, done with college and both worked extremely hard and decided when they had kids mom would stay home to raise them and work part time from home. She ( my daughter in law) constantly interacts, looks them in the eyes, has conversations and asks lots of questions like how does that make you feel or what do you think of that and she listens! I think compassion and empathy need to be taught at the beginning of life ( looking in your baby’s eyes, holding them when they cry, singing nursery rhymes and smiling at them) and continued throughout. ( teaching good ethics) My two cents!

Less interviews that makes audience interested in him. If latest interview of John wick will air tomorrow I will definitely watch it because he does very little media interactions and interviews. 5. He has connected himself to the audience.

I wonder if he’s just infatuated with teeth? A man knows how to get what he wants.. 😁 3) sounds like frugal to me. 4) The interviews before a movie release would make sense.. outside of questions about the movie, it’s wash rinse and repeat. 5) willingly? 😂

  • Simply put, Keanu Reeves just seems to be a nice guy. Everything I've heard about him, and read about him, is almost always someone, famous or otherwise, saying how kind, thoughtful and generous he is with his time. There is even a TED talk out there by a woman who talks about how he gave her an interview as a teenager, just because she asked. Introverts have a lot to offer the world, and the world shouldn't be so biased towards extroversion. Read 'Quiet' by Susan Cain, it's the introvert's bible.

People dedicate their entire lives to that project. If you think you've completely ditched your ego, it's likely the case that you've become more egocentric, not less. Arrogance quite often masquerades as humility, even to one's self.

  • As an introvert, I look at something when I am telling a story because I am easily distracted by people's faces and other things that are going on. If I am looking at someone's face, I am reading it. If I am looking at something happening in the background, I am preoccupied with figuring out what's happening. So I have to look at something neutral, like the table or the floor, so that I can process my thoughts or access my memory.

  • Keanu saying "No, YOU'RE breathtaking!" Has become a popular meme, but it's a wonderful display of his charisma and way of speaking to others. Also, I find it so difficult to keep eye contact with people. My eyes dart back and forth, because I'm not good at holding my eyes on something without crossing them in a really derpy way. XD So I don't blame Keanu for that ^^

  • When you said you'd donate 100.000 Dollars I gasped, that was really touching and a grand gesture! Bravo! That also shows how doing good and being selfless just like Keanu has an impact on the people around you. The way you see the world and treat others enables others to be great, too. Even when you're not preaching it and deliberately ask people to do better. They can't help but be affected by it. Really shows how much an individual matters.

  • I’m an introvert and I do the same in conversations, sometimes I avoid eye contact and I am very aware of it. I need to do this to be able to dig inside my thoughts so I can expose them verbally. Introverts are better at writing than at speaking. Also as an introvert I can say that there is nothing more annoying than someone talking to you while stabbing their sight into yours without even blinking once. It’s super annoying and extroverts tend to do that without even being conscious about it.
