I’ve been listening to Gary for years now, I am qualified in economics (UCL) and I totally agree with his extrapolations of where we are going in our economy and it is becoming more and more obvious that capital is being polarised to the already wealthy. Well said. I've ordered the book too. To go alongside other essential reading demanded by this perilously unfair and urgent time we've been forced to live in. Through LIVED EXPERIENCE I knew all of this (all the impacts) first hand and learned EVERYTHING Gary has about financialisation of everything and mass transfer of wealth from the many to the few that Gary describes so well from being a publican with a tied lease renting a pub freehold owned by Scottish & Newcastle Pubco / Royal Bank of Scotland / West Register Ltd. The British tied pub sector is a microcosm of disaster capitalism. Undestand that, and extrapolate, and you understand the whole world, and you undestand why climate breakdown is happening along with the collapse of organised human existence.
Gary, you do NOT have a stupid accent - it never ceases to amaze me how people are forever being criticised about their personal traits. These have nothing to do with who you are. It’s a person’s character that’s important. You are somebody special, and I am glad that you and your friend decided to wake us all up to the realities of our lives. So - thank you, Gary, and thank you, Simran. Keep up the good work!
Totally agree really really hate it doesn’t say much about that person who does it , it’s not about how you look or talk it’s about what a decent human being you are
I think it's a reflection of our increasingly superficial worldview, which is exaggerated by the media. By focusing attention on the outward appearances of people, it distracts from the message and substance...or lack thereof. For example, a politician like Jacob Rees-Mogg affects an accent and dress style that comforts the gammons, and enrages the lefties...but is disguises the toxicity of his statements. By demeaning Gary's accent and dress, critics can dismiss his message, and invalidate the ideas he proposes. The cynicism of those in power to pander to voters by pretending to be 'All in it together', but showing contempt to the working classes by their policies, is becoming more and more obvious.
Gary’s a total legend. I think critiques of his accent are probably rooted in the hatred of the working class that exists in our country.
As a Canadian guy, he just sounds British to me. He could easily be the King or a guy at a pub.
Nothing wrong with his accent. I bumped into Mick Lynch and we talked about accents, dialects and “sounding working class” - in summary it’s really fucking important (to me personally and to society) to hear people that sound like us in media. Fuck RP, Fuck generic southern English as the standard, Fuck posh accents. The working class have a beautiful range of accents and dialects - we should be hearing them.

I think your are doing a great job. This is not just about economics, is about social policy and trying to bring fairness back into our society. The Tory’s took the heart out of our society in the 80s and we have been suffering ever since. The last 12 years of the tories are taken us to tipping point. Big love to you all Gary from the Isle of Wight, where over the next 10 years the demographic is going to change from 35% pensionable age to 50%. People own 2nd/3rd/4th houses here, some villages are 50% holiday homes. Wages are 20% lower than the mainland, work is mostly seasonal. Young people don’t have a chance here and it’s getting worse. We have some of the worst deprivation in the UK. My own work is environmental, trying to create opportunities for young peoples future. Your work is vital. I’m very grateful to you , big love ❤

I come from a stupid place too..North London...All I try to do is when I see political stuff on U-Tube I always try a give a comment and mention this channel tell people to give it a look ..Its solutions we need not just questions and pointing out what's going wrong....Hopefully I've put people this way..We should all do that as many times as we can..
This is so important. I try to do the same. We all need to do our part to slowly change the mindset of the population. Voting isn't enough. It's a complete mindset change we need. Maybe then we'll get better people stepping up to lead the country. I think people think it's hopeless because they know something is wrong, but they don't know why, or how to express it. Gary is a breath of fresh air because he explains exactly what everyone has been aware of for so long but couldn't put their finger on. Now we do understand. So we have to push forward with that knowledge and make change happen

Chicago is getting quite a few mentions - it seems it must have a high proportion of intelligent, decent, considerate people!
Gary, sod accents and hats, what you are saying about growing inequality, taxing the ultra-rich and recognising the corrupt politics-big business-mainstream media link is SO important (and you're one of the VERY FEW people saying it - and have been saying it for years) so it won't just go away, indeed with time it will just keep getting more valuable and more recognised. Keep going mate, a lot of us 100k subscribers support you and believe in you. Love to both (all of) you for your leadership. Why not ask for Donations, start Members Subscriptions or declare your channel as a Charity then publish very simple accounts for the channel to show where the money's being spent - people WILL support the channel financially regardless of your individual wealth/income if its going towards content and education to get the message out there - you should not have to fund this movement out of your own pocket for much longer 💪
100k subscribers donating £1 each....realistically what would you get? £10k, £25k, £50k, £75k (and you'd find out how many real core subscribers you have !)

Love the comment about accent ,mine is rural Devonshire dialect 😂of farming background .Farmers are being put in a difficult situation because I’m aware that higher food prices hits the less well off first 🤷

Love the work you're doing man. Thanks for being a voice for sooo many people. My wife's work brings her to the edge of the UHNW individuals, some are litteraly the very richest that you talk about. Being a working class man myself and seeing the wealth and power these people have, has been a very confusing and strange place to be. Seeing these people spend multiple times my yearly salary on one single holiday or car or wardrobe is mental. Especially knowing how we budget our finances and try to get ahead. But as you say, it's a rigged system and we should understnd it's not our fault!! Bought the book man and can't wait to read it!

I live on the Isle of wight ...I moved to get away from mainland UK and all the madness ..I live a better, simpler life and I know I'm lucky ...I have a roof over my head , food on the table and at the moment I can afford my household bills . However - there are so many who are suffering and it really really worries me . This government has destroyed this country , we now have Victorian diseases becoming prevalent like scurvy and rickets...we have tremendous deprivation and some of the most vulnerable folk being made to suffer more and more . I am so glad that you are here to speak the truth about the economy and the reasons behind it ....I know you are working really hard and please know how much you are appreciated by those of us who care ❤

I wish all people who started poorer or working class and later became rich and wealthy were able to retain this level of empathy and I guess humbleness to know how much the cards are stacked against ordinary working people. Usually when you see people (like Sir Alan Sugar) who came from working class backgrounds and then became wealthy, they seem to have this real disdain for the working class and perpetuate the idea that you can become as wealthy as them purely through hard work and intelligence and therefore anyone who remains poor is stupid and lazy. Just wish all the other wealthy people had the same mindset of understanding how unfair the structures of society are and actually wanting to change it ❤

I'm hopeful like you that people will use this information, unite having realised thier common interests and vote for this change. We may need to all agree on a new political party going forward but your efforts have provided a pathway that could help shape that party. At some point in the future .Do you think you might be able to do a video that goes into the details about the use and function of alternative asset management companies like BlackRock and the impact and change this has had on the world of financial capital and the impact it has caused to our society .
