    • He doesn’t really have fans. He literally gets his views by hatewatch, and that’s the reason he acts this way. I’m sure ppl are actually concerned for him, but the internet persona he has built is purely to get a reaction out of ppl. And he has been able to monetize that. This is why you shouldn’t be concered or take him seriously

    • Yup, usually it's a phenomena when you balance between the two states of glycemia. I guess he also doesn't monitor his micro nutrients nor does he have a quality sleep with his sleep apnea. All the factors to become physically and hormonally a douche bag. My best friend used to be this way, he was obese, we helped him get in shape and his personality changed for the better, he even had abdominoplasty. He met his first girlfriend, she was already obese and when they moved in together during the 2020 lockdowns they put on 30+ kg together. If you combine that with a previous 5 years cocaine addiction, daily pot and cigarettes smoking, he became a monster of a friend and still is to this day.

    • Yep, I had a brain health specialist really drill home the fact that its as devastating on the brain as other addictions, of course with its own physical effects like drugs have. He showed brain scans of an active meth user and an obese person that yoyo'd their weight 50-150lbs over years and there was so little brain activity in the 'logical' hemisphere of the brain. They literally looked almost identical. And he talked about the fact that the tech to remove addiction genes, for lack of a better word, would soon be possible. Ethics being the big hurdle cause once you do that its sorta like pandoras box

    • @@zeuna I feel you. Not to make it about me, but I've also had a very poor relationship with food throughout my life. As an overweight unpopular kid throughout most of my high school years, I had a HORRIBLE self-image. *Trigger Warning* I lost a LOT of weight during college using very unhealthy methods such as drinking a bottle of water while hungry and skipping meals... and I became someone who almost based my personality around how I looked. After COVID hit, I gained a lot of weight back (although a good chunk of it is muscle, and I'm built pretty well), and I'm healthier now and no longer restrict meals, but it's still so difficult to not associate my weight-gain with a loss of control. I've been working on myself and I've accepted how I look, and now I work out / exercise because I love myself, not because I want to punish myself. It's funny though... looking back on old photos of myself, I now wish I could look how I looked back then, but when I was at that weight it still wasn't good enough for me and I wanted to look better. I realize now that every second that passes becomes the past and one day 20 years from now, I'll look back on how I look now and wish I appreciated it and loved myself. Because nobody knows what the future holds. Self-love is an ever-evolving thing, and I'm glad that I'm finally able to at least not be so hard on myself for gaining weight. I am not familiar with his work and only knew him from the "I´m usually a one-pack girl" video, but it breaks my heart seeing him going from a healthy, seemingly happy guy to a very obese, seemingly very unhappy man. Veganism is a lifestyle of peace and compassion for all, so we also don't go to zoos, circuses, wear fur, wool, etc. If someone is hurt or killed we don't support it. Going vegan is like turning away from racism. If you say you're not racist, then turn around and be a racist, well, you never stopped being a racist. Nikocado was plant-based. He ate a diet without animal products, but he was never against oppression of others nor in it to help others as a full vegan lifestyle is. It's sad not only for the animals, but had he truly been vegan and in it for the animals he would have never turned away from a healthy diet and become what he is now. And if he stayed in the vegan community he would definitely have found people who would help him with his mental struggles, etc. I've been a vegan activist for a decade now, met so many vegans, etc. Mental health is something we all take serious. Every animal rights group I know of (which is over 100) does something for the mental health of volunteers and workers. I mean, we have to educate the masses about the worst cruelties being done to animals and children every day. I have seen so much rape and brutal deaths.... • @@ert-wert dude, that's dangerous. I've been underweight and it sucks. Thermoregulation gets really hard and doing things while having energy is also difficult. Try just forcing yourself to eat something small whenever your emotions start getting wacky. Emotional self-regulation gets hard when you're hungry, so you can use that as a marker. Eventually you'll get used to eating properly and start feeling hungry (at least a little, even if only when you're calm). Hunger is like pain, in that bad things happen if you ignore it, and worse things happen if you can't feel it.

    • @@ert-wert I feel for the majority of people who are overweight it simply comes down to calories in vs. calories out. They’re eating too much to burn off and that helps pack on the pounds. For some though, food is an addiction and/or a comfort. They attach emotions to what they are eating and it can be very hard to give that up. There are some people who do have health issues that can make it difficult to lose weight (I have PCOS and maintaining a low weight can be a struggle for me), but it’s not an excuse to overeat and maintain a very poor diet.

    • @@ert-wert I couldn’t stop eating because I had a lot of emotional trauma. It’s comfort eating. At my worst, I would have fast food at least 10 times a week and be eating 7k-10k a day. I don’t know how many others have that issue. But I’ve been on many weight loss journeys that led to loss and subsequent gains. It wasn’t until I really addressed the mental issues behind my eating that I really wanted to keep the weight off. It is amazing how different our bodies are. My goal is to run a half marathon one day.

  • sunny asked the question what should Nicholas Avocado do now, and i fully believe that if he did a workout arc and filmed his whole journey, people would watch and he would make bank.
