That’s actually pretty impressive for a husky to be that good at herding
No doubt, he did good.
They're working dogs, and known to be protective of their pac. So herding to protect is very much in their wheel house.
Why? Are huskies usually bad at herding?
@@OneIssueVoterit looks like they have a pretty large and wooded back yard and woods, which should be plenty for the husky to explore. Agree that huskies shouldn't be in apartments or small homes. But judging by the husky's behavior here and its weight, it's getting plenty of exercise and stimulation, which is why he's so calm.
@@OneIssueVoterwe appreciate your concern! Especially Henry! As a professional dog trainer, it’s my job to train each learner in front of me. It seems you may be a victim of bad experiences involving huskies. I’m sorry for that. However all dogs have a large degree of prey drive. To assume any dog has no prey drive is dangerous. Huskies often get a bad reputation due to owners not properly giving them the exercise they need resulting in behavioral issues. Besides that you have the nuances of individuals. For instance My two huskies are incredibly different from each other. I will likely never let Aayla and Henry alone unsupervised at home. Whereas Miles I will. Henry also has plenty of access to places the dogs cannot reach as added precaution. TL;DR no worries, Henry is safe. Huskies are great. Yes they are good house pets.

@@miles_the_red_husky I'd recommend vest-harnesses or similar types that cover a bigger portion. Cats tend to prefer that secure snug over the "ropey" design dog harnesses usually have. Theres some that come in like jacket-ish forms too, they're pretty nice for worse weather of if Henry enjoys rolling in filth haha.

Henry knows he's a cat, he just loves his dog siblings. He plays with them the same way he would have played with his littermates.And a lot of cats play fetch, it's not just exclusive to dogs. Henry found an amazing home and family 😊💜

This is pretty much verbatim what I was going to comment. I find that people who haven't been around cats very much think this way. It's simply a lack of exposure to cats. I've been a rescuer of street cats for over 50 years, as were my parents and my paternal grandparents. We all had cats that fetched, my cat Patchwork would go find a ball and drop it at my feet whenever she wanted to play. If I didn't notice right away then she'd pick the ball up and drop it again, and again, until I did notice, lol.

For those concerned. We obviously know Henry is aware he’s in Fact a cat. As animals are born with instinct intrinsic to their DNA. This was simply a comment on his behavior from being raised around dogs and his love and comfort from them. Apologies if we offended any cat biologists here ❤❤ and thank you so much for the kind words!

That is usually true but occasionally there will be a dog that doesn't get along with other animals for whatever reason. I've personally known 2 cases where it went horribly wrong due to irresponsible dog owners. My pup loved all animals and would be sad when the bunnies, squirrels, opossums, birdies etc. wouldn't play w him. One day, he finally met squirrel babies who wanted to play, but he completely froze. Only his eyes and tail nub would move. In the course of one summer, he found 3 litters of kittens in the shed and garage. It was a nightmare for us, but he was super happy.

Now all it needs is a 2nd kitten for the pupper, then you have a kitten raised by a dog who was raised by a cat who was raised by a dog. None of them, in the end, know what they are. XD

My kitten also snuggles with my other big cat, but when she’s not snuggling, she’s chasing her around and eating her ears and tail 😂❤
LOL! My cat didn't have his siblings because of the one pet rule in my apt. So, he treated me like a cat, pouncing on me, running after me, etc. It was so funny to witness his antics.

Thank you for that! Put a big smile on my face. Henry looks just like a street cat that lives somewhere around my house. He all of a sudden took a liking to me. Always comes to me and only me from all the neighbors. I would feed him and other street cats. But every time he sees me comes up running to me, started by rubbing against my legs and slowly let me pet him. My tuxedo cat Dexter sniffs my when I come back inside and stares at me. Hysterical!
He knows he is a cat, of course, he is not dumb. They always know they are different, mainly from smell. But having grown up among dogs, he considers canine behaviour to be appropriate for him. Introduce him to another cat and you will immediately see that he knows very well who and what he is.
My heart just melted.. it’s so beautiful to see kitty cats and puppy dogs get along with each other. We recently had the most cutest kitty ever. Her name was Mimi. She was so adorable very friendly and loved playing with her toys and Scar her puppy friend she had met. But we would let her go outside and this one particular night my son who’s kitty Mimi is let her outside with him and she went missing. It’s been a week and three days. We are so saddened by Mimi’s missing. I think 💭 someone picked her up. She is very friendly and so cute. I hope 🤞🏼 someone has her because that first few days, it was so hot 🥵 outside 106 degrees 😮😢I was beside myself. I just can’t imagine Mimi being left alone. She is a sweet kitty I will miss her forever until she comes back home hopefully 🙏🏼

I had the same symbiotic relationship with my Great Danes and the two tabby cats. Seeing the cats play fight,get broken up by the Great Dane so there was always something going on with the kids. They were together for 17 years,with the Great Danes dying at 13 years old. Those cats had no fear of man nor dog till the bitter end. Thanks for your video,it made me smile at the memories.

Our kitten is the same way with our pups..lol..we have a Great Pyrenees, an Australian Shepherd and a Blue Heeler. We also have 2 other cats. Sky plays with the pups, goes outside and comes back in with the pups. She doesn’t use a litter box but does her business outside like the dogs..lol..she also sleeps snuggled up with the dogs and takes her naps on the dog bed and not the cat bed..she genuinely believes she’s part of the pack..she’s just so adorable when she plays with them and so entertaining when she walks underneath their legs to go outside and returns with them when it’s time to come in..just love her energy and love of her brother and sisters! ❤️
