I unironically listen to this while working out
Hahahaha same!
Listening to this while getting my runescape playing ass ready for boot camp
Great for benching.
Listening it right now whilst working out
It's the most inspiring track in all of RuneScape. I wouldn't have an Infernal Cape without this track on repeat.
Man, after hearing the start of what sounds like a remix of this theme for the RS3 version of Zuk coming next week, I’m reminded of just how awesome this theme is.
Not quite a remix at all. They just included a leitmotif in the RS3 version to reflect where Zuk was first introduced.
nah like at least half of the glory of combat is from this song

Ah yes, the inferno grind. And it doesn't matter how many times you hear this track, you will never hate it or get tired of it
Never forget. It buries itself in deep..:P
I will be back with the grind haha - gave up after chucking it at wave 62 with great supplies was furious
4 months into the grind and I can confirm this
Everyone I play with who did the inferno plays with music off so..
Y’all need to check out the RS3 rendition called “the glory of combat”. It pays respect to this theme and it’s awesome
it aint bad
Too slow for my tastes
"it pays respect". I suppose you meant to say, homage.
RS3? Eww.
@@heftymagic4814 uh what? The main motif is faster in the RS3 version. It sounds to be about 110 beats per minute in RS3 compared to about 96 beats per minute in OSRS
This is pretty much the OSRS equivalent of melodic death metal, and I love every second of it. Great song for the Inferno, sacrificed one of my fire capes just for the sake of unlocking this.
Moku it translates really well on to guitar, I started tabbing it out and sounds heavy as fuck
I get what you mean, but if you are gonna transcribe this to guitar, I feel like it's a dirty mix of power metal and blackened death metal.
what does this have to do with death metal... it sounds NOTHING like that.
@@shutendoji470 Death metal, sure it doesn't sound like that, but melodic death metal is a different genre entirely, and the overall structure of the song just reminded me of that genre.
Naomi it sounds like Swedeath tbh
1:42 is the soundtrack for when you're camping behind the pillar trying to gather up the courage to go deal with the stack

@@clashoclan3371Er... what sins?! 😳😅
they perfected the sound of 2007 runescape with this we should be proud of jagex for making this years later
They really stepped up their game with this track dude. This is awesome
This soundtrack became my favorite osrs music as soon as i head it for the first time. Fantastic work Mod Bond.
Thanks! :) (I no longer work for Jagex though)
okay mod Bond
Thank you so much sir for bringing so much life to both the games through your creations! Stuff like Vorago, Angel of Death, Inferno is just beyond amazing. Best of luck to whereever you go sir!
Thanks! :) I'll continue to add stuff here when I can: kzhead.info/tools/po2nqiVH7_2MPf8pqrUM6w.html
@@FSAPOJake What a lovely thing to say - thank you so much! ☺️
With Zuk coming to RS3, I would not mind them implementing a rendition of this absolute banger.
Music Teaser is already out on Twitter :) And Zuk will be out in 24 Hours!
kzhead.info/sun/i7mqkturh6GmpoE/bejne.html It's already here
This aged well. :)
They did, and they made the theme better and kept his stupidly hard difficulty.
@@ImpelDragon Better is entirely subjective. Difficulty yes.
Well done Adam Bond. This really feels like "Final Boss of Runescape" music
Anyone here after today's TzekHaar Front livestream, the Inferno remix really slaps
I don't play OSRS but it's really cool to see how the RS3 Zuk track was inspired by this. Rad tune dawg
Love how it starts in an instant just like the ticks in the game
How is it even possible to create a soundtrack that is as good as the old classic tunes like Still Night, Harmony, Starlight and Newby Melody?
it's the runescapey music style :D
Don't forget Garden, Medieval and Forever. 2 years late reply btw
Paulius Star light is god like. The game has so many God-like tracks. Most people find RS music cringe and don't have it on ever, but in reality they are cringe. RS music is iconic to the game.
Adam Bond and Ian Taylor have the magic touch, man.
I believe the osrs team uses the same collection of midi instruments (literally called Midi Collection 1.? can't remember the number.) that the original RS team did back in the early days.
fitting music for the hardest boss in the game
isnt the hardest boss the theatre of blood final boss?
@@shutendoji470 Solo Verzik is harder than Zuk yes but if you're doing it in a team, no.
@@shutendoji470 Sortof, the theatre of blood is intended to be done as a team whereas the inferno is exclusively solo. Also, I wrote this comment before Theatre of Blood came out
@@jackhaehl2033 complete inferno run, Zuk and Triple jads are WAY harder than COX/TOB. I'd argue solo Chambers of Xerics is significantly easier than Inferno. Solo ToB is harder/more grindy but I'd argue Inferno is on the same level of insane.
@@shutendoji470 loool no verzik is ez if you dont solo
"Finally, after thousands of years...!"
It's a damn shame that Adam Bond isn't composing music like this any more.
What happened??
You can't tell me Bond isn't a metal guy after he makes a RuneScape song with friggen double bass.
When you got a mager, ranger and blob stacked behind 1 pillar and you're just staring at your screen slightly banging your head to the track while wondering wtf you're gonna do lmao
Pray mage, attack the mage once, go back behind the pillar, pray range, repeat until mage is dead, then pray range, attack the ranger once, go back behind, and pray mage. Repeat until the ranger is dead, then kill the blob.
Thank you for uploading this!!! So glad it's on YT now :D
This is the best OST from OSRS.
Best track on osrs history. Really fun content as well.
amazing piece, makes me love the game even more
I'm a RS3 player... and this sounds sooooooo dope.
The only thing osrs has better is music and lack of mtx, all the bosses are the same because you only ever have 2 things to worry about: hitting it and not dying. And you can do them all without ever changing gear or weapons lol.
@@dannyU2g music being better on OSRS is 100% only because of nostalgia. RS3 music SLAPS, and I play both.
Well, Javier, this comment aged well. 'The Glory of Combat' is out.
Y'now, regardless of which of the two games it is, they tend to consistently knock it out of the park with the OST. I sometimes listen to RS music even when not playing.
my new favorite track, awesome piece!
When the cold of the Wintertodt hits for a 4
Sounds like Doom music and it couldn't be greater
Reminds me of RS3's Lava Falls, and that is a *high compliment.* Rapid, intense, *memorable.*

Leaving this message here so I can come back to say I've beaten the inferno. My pb atm's post healer zucc but another set spawned and I was 1 tile of, copping a 101 to the face. I've made it to zucc on 2 other occasions including today. I've got this..
I DID IT, I BEAT THE ZUCC. I died twice yesterday with 2 horrible attempts but got it on my firsr attempt today, holy moly. This has been such a wonderful learning experience and one of the best pieces of content I've ever done in a game before. goosebumps man
holy moly i fucking love this song
Man if this song was made in like 2007 or something it would blow up and break records, they made awesome music with such old tools.
2:21 and 3:01 are my favorite bits
Heck yeah. Those are great parts.

im here to watch all the people coming to listen to this after the rs3 inferno ost
Now that zuk is coming to rs3, wonder how a more modern version would sound.
And now we know (partially, anyway), and it fucking slaps!
man
A metal cover
It's out: it's called 'The Glory of Combat' and it is unforgettable.
The melody at the beginning and at 2:43 reminds me a lot of End of the Raging Waves/Winds from the Etrian Odyssey games. End of the Raging Flames, I guess you could say.
Happy Birthday Inferno :)
I have never played osrs but this music is one I wish would have been put on rs3.
Your wish has been granted
And just like that, bippity boppity boo, your wish has come true! The track is a banger on rs3

when me and my brother race to the computer
Maybe someday I'll be good enough to complete the inferno and get infernal cape...
can’t believe the inferno is already half a decade old now
I cant wait to be maxed and still not do this :D
Practise makes perfect. You can do it without a twisted bow. The only really hard parts are that it takes so long and Triple Jads. Zuk is hard too, takes a bit of practise but is doable with enough supplies and a good attention span/focus.
@@noneedforhelp Man got to wave 62 on the zerk (ACB) and threw it and never touched the Inferno since haha

Almost seems like it'd be a good track to play when pk'ing or at clan wars
The music on OSRS is really amazing. Dunno why people hate osrs so much.
Mostly the community, people despise Ice Poseidon and his followers are commonly from OSRS so they connect the two. I don't blame them
TheRagefires Plus, people like to bunch OSRS players into one bucket. People who generalize, basically. I play on RS3, and trust me, RS3 players are no better than OSRS players.
Are they really? From what I've heard RS3 players are a lot better than most osrs players. Not saying the entire osrs community is shit, but there's a lot of rotten apples in there.
Robbert Steggerda Who knows, rs3 barely has a community
From my experience, RS3 players tend to be very elitist and somewhat arrogant, but OSRS players are very defensive when it comes to questioning the quality of OSRS
