Soundtracks composed and produced by various residents of Gielinor, and tracks 36 & 37 by Adam Bond. Copyrights belong to Jagex Ltd and are licensed to Laced Music Ltd. I do not own the copyrights, and this video is solely for non-commercial purposes.
This is a continuous mix. I assumed people would prefer a version without any gaps of silence between the tracks. Sorry if the mixing is bad, this was basically my first time attempting to mix music tracks together.
Sound volume might vary between different tracks, the original files were like that and I decided not to "fix" it.

All the soundtracks are from the 2003-2007 era. Orchestral remakes/RS3 versions can be found on a different album.

We logged in and for the first time could not only play a MMO for the first time, but do so without countless other people. It was such a new and fresh experience back then. We found the magic in the world that most of us can’t find now. Each red dot on the mini map was the possibility of treasure. You had no idea what was around the next corner. Max level was a dream, even standing around was fun because the world was so magical. R.I.P childhood.

      @Dubzug@Dubzug Жыл бұрын
    • @@Dubzug True. I was going to mention I'm almost 30 as well, and didn't even realize that most people are probably around 30. Our generation really grew up with RuneScape. Though it'd be nice to have a large influx of newcomers migrating to the game, it's mostly us populating OSRS. The music has a way of bringing me back to the game. I get an itch to listen to some of the songs, then the songs make me nostalgic, and then I end up getting a month of membership lol.

    • Same, currently 29, will be 30 soon. There was a time when I wished I could live in this world forever but sadly we all must grow up, everyone gets older, ourselves and other ppl always eventually stop playing, graphics improve to completely unfamiliar levels along with updates until you get an entirely new game but with the same name as the old one. It'll never be the same again. I even miss the nostalgia of being naive and not knowing about the most efficient way of leveling of making money. At the time everything was new and even when online guides started popping out I was okay with that. I wish I had my own private server. I'd create bots and invite my friends to play. RS is just so greedy. I'm not going to pay for the same old content and play the same thing over and over again. I'll end my rant, I could go on forever honestly... They need to just sell us our own full versions of the game to host our own online servers. That'd be a lot of fun. We could set our own rules, download our own mods, etc. I hate that I can't love the new game. Anyways... If I don't stop now I'll keep writing. XD

Armour or weapon stats didn't matter to me as long as it looked cool or was expensive. Playing for fun and the experience not caring about efficiency, literally walking everywhere rather than teleing. I remember being so happy getting my first full Rune set, buying it on World 1 at Varrock East bank. Another milestone was my parents finally caving in and getting me a month of membership, walking through the gate for the first time north of Fally into members lands.

I started walking towards the ship, i spent weeks making bowstring, cutting trees, mining pure ess, mining iron ore. All the time and memories started rushing through my head, i started crying. I kept walking. He kept following me and saying hes sorry but he needs money. Thinking about it now, idk why i didnt log off, i just started walking and crying. I died soon after but i promised myself i wouldnt trust anyone, ever. I was 13 when this happened, now im 26.

  • I like how a lot of people in the comments have warm sentimental & nostalgic feelings towards this music, while in essence it is basic MIDI sounds. Another proof that music doesn't have to be expensive or extremely complicated. I felt a similar experience with a pretty simple punksong I knew from my childhood (out of a game soundtrack as well) recently. It conveys a message, an image, a visualisation, memories, nostalgia, lots of different feelings, ... IT'S ART

    • Nice description! But just a heads up, there's no such thing as "MIDI sounds'. MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface - essentially it's the connection that allows musical instruments and computers to communicate. That's a rough explanation, but I think it does the trick. You're right though, we hold things related to experiences we've loved in the past dearly in our hearts :)

    • Bro I grew up in a small town in Australia. Back in early 2000s we had dial up and I was new to computers or even the internet. Tbh I didn't even know what and how the internet worked. Being 7 years old and getting on Runescape because I was behind in school and didn't have many friends either. My uncle was top 10 and even 2nd behind Zezima for a good while It wasn't until I moved to the city that i realised how big the game actually was and how many people played. I remember all the fuss about Zezima and to me he was just another guy but many were his fans.

    • Funny enough i'm here now at 25 just chilling on Minecraft having a smoke. It's bit quiet so thought I'd jam out some good old RS soundtracks and check out my OSRS accnt on my mobile phone for some nostalgia. Man I miss being a kid, not knowing how to pronounce or spell half of the in-game items or even player names lmao. Back when having rune and dragon, barrows etc was cool 😎

    • I spent more time outside because my parents restricted my computer usage. Trust me, I never even considered your pov.. I just wish I got more time on Runescape
