JeezUS!!!!! Just pure perfection. The color choice. Drivetrain. Design cues. The whole bit is magical. Possibly the best bug build on YT. Well done sir. Well done.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
Whoever designed this chassis is a genius!!
Off the music when the engine is on.. I like to hear the car sounds 😂 👻👻
Spent five years in Sweden. They live for this music. Even as irritating as it is! Be thankful it's not pure techno!...
5:23 engine sound 😒
Your welcome
Cut off the music 🤔 let's hear the engine sounds...
Deffinitly one of the best builds I have ever seen. Once I seen all they flat cut alluminum my mind was blown! Great job. Usually everyone uses tubing. What you guys did was much cleaner and nicer looking
how would you even design a sheet metal chassis ?
@@AndroidBeacshire Didn’t you watch the video?

I completely agree with u! This is my favorite beetle conversion!
You guys did an extremely clean strip down, completely saving that chassis that someone else can use. Thank you for that.
Pepe
La verdad, es el mejor video que he visto sobre una restauracion, se que hay trabajos grandiosos, pero este es justamente el tipo de trabajo que uno quiere ver y el producto final es increible !!!
Great to see and very proud this build was done in South Africa 🇿🇦 Well done guys.
Colour makes it look like the old wrapped around by the new, I absolutely love it. Stunning car one of the best if not the best beetle I've ever seen and I live by a VW restoration business. Well done 👍👍👍
Best looking beetle I've ever seen! nice job! let's see some 1/4 mile times.
I've seen every engine swap mods on a classic pancake-pushrod-aircooled Beatle imaginable! But this one is the best! Great work fellows! We Americans love cars!
A sleeper with manual v8 biturbo. This is the definition of heaven. Really thanks.
Don't you just hate it when you watch a video like this and they are throwing away a part you need and are having a tough time finding
Yeah I was thinking That Ive got the Exact Same Model
I could imagine.
❤fantástico ❤
magnifique , beautiful project !
Very amazing and interesting the building of this Volkswagen Beetle in South Africa. Good job for us. Congratulations from Peru.
yep that's what we have lots of companies do this...but very expensive...I have seen a 911 Porsche motor in a beetle....
I have a 97 VW Polo 1.6 and I am having really hard time to fix my gear sticking problem with three different repair shops. These guys made a complete new car.
Just amazing guys. Never knew we had such perfection in SA.
That's insane! The chassis construction is wild! The overall fit and finish is next level!
I watch this video every couple of months. A magnificent peace of engineering and expert workmanship with attention to detail. Wonderful !
Simplemente increíble, wauuu, felicidades. Saludos desde Atlanta.
Amazing built minus the paint. Absolutely love this Beetle
How bout a black one🤪
Agree. Colour is personal taste. I’d have kept the original colour & banded the wheels.
You just built one of my dream cars. O.M.G. that is such an exquisite Beetle. An engineering marvel. The sub structure is incredible. A simply amazing build. What a little powerhouse. Roll cage I think. Loved this video.
I’ve been thing about this for 50 years now, and to see what you all have done is amazing. Wow.
CAD design makes amazing things possible..the chassis design is clever
@tirapalla The beetle body is pretty strong as it is all curves..being bolted to the skateboard chassis it would be pretty good...also the torque acts mainly on the rear where the engine/trans is...it does not act on the whole length of the car like in a Mustang for example...but still I get your point :-D
Bloody hell the chassis is one nice piece of engineering lads well impressed 😁😁🤘🤘
Like this "off the scrap" projects.. it's not just painting and make up, but when people do it from a bottom to the top, it's awesome! Too much fun to see such a beautiful car! :)
Excellent workmanship, I love the everything about this video but the background music. Would've loved to hear more of those engine sounds.
Vintage paint, chrome bumpers and original style wheels would have been amazing. Would have been very stealthy. Great engineering guys. 👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Superb modification i just love it. It sounds very powerful ♥️🔥
A V8 and almost no weight. Sounds like a lot of fun. Great job!
Excellent video! Beautiful Beetle. Thank you for sharing on KZhead.
incredible job. But I would have loved to see how you guys engineered this beautiful chassis. And also how you put the mechanicals together.
Ficou muito lindo projeto sonho de todo amante de fusca
i love the passion you guys have for the Beetle
I never thought i will like a beetle but this one right here is just pure class 👏👏👏
Congrats for the project !!! It's an amazing Beetle !!!!! But I would try to let it a little be more original, too. Should be funniest, I think..... hahaha !!! But..... Fantastic !!! Congratulations, again !!!!!
That stealth beetle is the most beautiful & powerful vw beetle I've ever witnessed I would love to own it & drive it
I'm a VW driver daily and this was my 1 car ever so this really brings good memories thanks guys I wish onde day dreams.
To the cool dudes that stuck this together, I love ❤ what you've done..perfect sleeper. Badass!
The chassis is a work of art 🖼. Someone spent many hours designing that.
Yes, I was sorry they gave no details of the design, or even the engine type. It would be a beautiful work of art, even with the original engine!
There is all the information you are looking for on my channel. Also v8 stealth beetle has a channel. I am north American distributor and can answer all your questions.
Jean from V8 stealth beetle designed this beautiful chassis.
Amazing! Wonderful to see the result of Passion, Knowledge & Creativity!!! Perfect👌🏽
Not in many countries today you can easily ride in open roads such an amazing car without numbers, papers, mirrors etc. etc. God bless South Africa 🙏
Love this V8 Stealth Beetle 🐞 that can really fly by some muscle cars!!! Great work!! A "Hell Bug" with a Super Charged Hemi would be phenomenal!! Keep up the great work!!! 🚘
wow, love the concept, designing and planning and fabrication. Well done, top class
Nice job! Although with those meats and that “woosh” upshift sound.. stealth may be a stretch lol.
Jeff Hartwig, thinking the same. But, absolutely love it.
hermoso vehículo de ensueño y los señores que los modifican verdaderos artesanos felicitaciones 😀👍💯
Now that's what I call a build 🏆🏆🏆👍🏽👍🏽I love the sound... no need for a stereo eh.
More, more, more, more!!!! It is amazing. Well done. I'm in love with the bug.
Fantastic, well done ! SA mechanical engineering is awesome.
*Ummm, so, you do a 'test' drive, no guards, no tags, no rego, insurance? all on the streets. More balls than a bingo parlor has guys.* When I first saw the painting, that yellow I was like WTF? *"Then" it all made sense when I saw the masking paper come off to reveal that beautiful silver/grey and that combo, BRILLIANT.*
Nice true dual exhaust without crossover! Sweet car! I wish some big companies would be crazy enough to mass produce small V8, V-Twin and 270 degree crank parallel twin cars!
Pais bananero
wow this is amazing.. great job..🔥🔥🔥🔥 where you guys based?
What genius design. And....and....You guys actually put a manual trans in it. I can't tell you how much I detest really great hot rods with wimped out automatics in them. I worked with Mercedes Benz Road Racing Group for many years. I worked with the German engineers and back in 1982 ,I asked for copies of blueprints for the 1939 and 1955 Mercedes Silver Arrow Formula One monoposto race cars. Many many months later I received them from Stuttgart! I was shocked they actually sent them! I want to finally take the 1939 blueprints and build a widened two seat version. I love the work you guys did!
always great to see our local boys doing some darn fine work!
What a master piece Guys! Well played 🙏🙂
Wow , you put a smile on my face with that genius of an engineering build. I did love the tab system that was beautiful the way you put that together. One of the best hot rods I’ve ever seen, of all time. What was the V-8 that you used? It really had a sound like a180 degree flat crank. like-the sound of a Ferrari. That was extremely well done build. My hats off to you!
Are you talking about the cross plane engine, like in the new Yamaha R1, the Tiger 900 adventure bike with the triple, or the Ford Mustang 5.0L? I am not a fan at all. There are not any performance benefits, only added vibration and a rougher sound, when you use a flat crank or the industry name "cross plane" crank. It's something experimentally used in racing to take away power, and make the engine rougher, so it corners better. But you could just take away 3 degrees of timing and do the same thing! This Beetle sounds AWESOME though. The small 4 cylinder and 3 cylinder bikes DO NOT sound good as a Crossplane.
Love the chasis built.awsome!!!!!salute to you guys.i hope someday to have that kind of beetle.
this has got to be the ultimate "Q" car ,even loving it without wings and boot panels on ................ love it ! Super clean - super smooooooooothe 😍😍
Amazing! You guys are incredible. I really need one of these here in Mexico, where the Beetle is a national treasure.
Ignorance at best....
Dale!tienes la ventaja de que hay un chingo alla
Fantástico projeto parabéns aos envolvidos
I love the car! Putting the chassis together looked like an IKEA piece of furniture or the night before Christmas when my kids were young! Insert Tab A into Slot, fold over and hold with piece of tape!
Love the colors....very impressive build!
Outstanding. I'm always amazed when I think of how many hours of just design they put in to a project of this type. Plus manufacturing it all. But I sincerely thank you for this video.
why would you design something that already exist? they basically took Tatra 97 body and used engine similar to tatra 87. BTW entire VW Beatle is stolen tatra 97 tech.
I like everything about the conversion except the paint. It should either be a plain paint job or leave it in original condition. It would be a lot more fun on the road.
David Alexander just silver
yellow with its original bumper.
I agree ,then when some idiot driving a Porsche challenges you at the red light, he'll be in for a surprise.🚦😲
I agree it does kinna take the stealth outta stealth but it does look great!
Everyone his own taste, i like it how it is. I could only dream to have such a (nicely modified) beetle in my garage.
I've been a VW fan for over forty years and I've seen my share of VW mods and customs. Obviously dropping a V8 into a Beetle is nothing new as you know. And honestly I don't typically give 'em much attention simply due to the Madd Scientist approach that's used. I'm also a bit of a purist and believe it's just better to run with a VW engine to start with. With all that can be done with a VW engine now days, I just don't see the purpose of going through all that's necessary to change it over... Now with all that being said, I gotta say that you guys have really outdone yourselves. It looks magnificent, it really does. Every step of the job was absolutely professional and the end result is just beautiful. You were even able to maintain it's beautiful stance. I could put a lot more into this, but I'll just say that you've created an awesome custom that any VW fan would just be over the top to own. The pride and passion that was put into this, is truly something to be admired. You certainly have my respect. Thank for sharing this.. Keep up the incredible work....
8:30 great choice of colors, really beautiful!
Bad ass! I have a 68 Beetle in wich I was thinking of slapping the in a 392 Hemi in back also. But I found a Subaru pancake engine witch will be a lot less work...your build is amazing!
Bom dia parabens pelo projeto ficou file o fuscao.ass costela carreteiro BRASIL.
Wow that looks like the one I had just that mine was painted gun metal gray and 70 over with scat racing aluminum heads and all that other great stuff. Nice ride 👌
That is a really nice Cape Town build 🇿🇦😎🏁
Simplesmente um sonho!
Love this thing !!! So cool and clean !!!! Love all the extra little details too !!! Stripes continued inside is one of my favorites !!! Awesome job guys !!! Very jealous in Arizona USA !!!
this is the best build i have ever scene. love the aluminum fab
Well done guys, CNC is changing the world of hot rodding.
What a transformation fantastic work thank you
Awesome build, very impressive! Would have been nice to see the bumpers go back on though. What are the perfomance specs on this?
v8stealthbeetle: needs to be stealthy also v8stealthbeetle: BIG YELLOW STRIPE! that said, awesome build
And a roll cage, proper safety equip... looks like rolling death
a gues they mean no motor parts or Turbo sticking out of the hood, so you won't suspect it's Turbocharged. (a sleeper).
Hensley Alidikromo huge overfenders, brand new paint, 14” wide rears with high end tires. Yeah a real sleeper.
the engineering of the chassis lends its self tobe sold as a kit. Love it!!!
Llpl
QUEDO. SÚPER CHINGON ME GUSTO EL VOLCHITO GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR 👍🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗👋 SALUDOS DESDE CHICAGO ILLINOIS 😎
very nice indeed . i've always been a Beetle fan . A V8 VW is spot on .
Vocês são profissionais magníficos parabéns
Awesome! The initial titling says "Stealth Beetle", but the end of the video when I see the paint job, it is far from "stealth". That paint job says "race beetle"!
My thoughts exactly! The paint job totally undermines the whole point of the excersise...
Come on guys anyone who has ears can tell that’s no stealth beetle, so the paint doesn’t really matter
When at the traffic lights in the dark, even with that paint job I guess people will still underestimate it, because how many beetles have a V8 in them? :-)
@@carnivaltym b
Really Awesome, amazing build for the price, I would have guessed 200.000$
Darn....I like V8s too. I've driven but never own a VW and that bug was a stock granny version. That's one Hella nice bug fellas. Excellent build.
What a dream...this makes me wanna cry it's so damn awesome
amen brother
Excelente!!! SUSCRITO 👍🏼 Saludos desde Chiapas, México
Dang, I’m only 4 min in.. extremely well put together. The car & video.. thank you
beautifull car, I would leave the yeyow strikes only at the back and front hoods to keap the round lines; grate car souds beautifly
Talk about a masterpiece here :) !!!!
Amazing engineering & build quality. would definitely buy one if I had that sort of cash laying around. 👍
WOW!! If I ever win the lotto ill be sending you an order.
Extreme Sleeper Bug.... Nice Build. Kudos to the Team
Great job. This is the car I have dreamed of. Are there any specifications on it? Weight, weight distribution, horsepower, zero to 60 times, height width and length etc.?
That information wouldn’t gain you a thing. Thus the lack there of
Possibly on their web site.
I would hope you wouldn’t “throw away” the chassis, engine, driveline, suspension, etc. The engine looks to be in pretty good condition as well as everything else under the car. Somebody out there would almost certainly want it for parts for their old Beetle, or for a new project built on a Beetle’s chassis. Either way, I hope you gave or sold it at a fair price to a Beetle-loving hobbyist.
SWEEEET RIDE!! Very nice eye candy. It'll give you cavities if you stare @ it too long.🙏
I know i'm a bit late😢 Surprise to see it's an SA build. I had the same beetle same color and for that a big thumbs up
