Make sure you watch this to the end....
So this is obviously not a new video, many of you have seen the four Mangheni lionesses take down this buffalo before, some of you may have even watched right to the end to see the buffalo herd come back to attempt to rescue the downed cow and then seemingly mourn their loss. This clip has been edited down for those of you that dont have the patience to watch the whole 12 minutes of the original clip • Jaw-dropping Lion Prid...
or the 25 minutes of the entire sighting • Lion Vs Buffalo Encoun...
I also did a bit of colour grading on the clip and got Sheldon Zam to do the intro as the weekly guest presenter. Check out his channel here: / @sheldonzam
Filmed in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa

About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos:
The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. Make sure to subscribe and enable ALL notifications!

  • The object is to separate an individual from the herd. What is interesting it is a lion cub that was holding the sub adult buffalo. It seem lionesses made some cub hunting training.

  • This is like eating supper and then you get stuck taking a phone call from a salesperson. That buffalo is an absolute goner. No amount of love and affection is gonna get that buffalo on its feet. It's just a matter of time until the buffaloes leave and the lions feast. It is really shows how loyal buffaloes are to the herd. But it is also a mistake to assume that when a buffalo herd returns and they are able to get the wounded warrior on its feet that it will be able to survive. I have seen lions break legs and inflict other damage to where the hurt buff just cannot keep up after 5 hours. The lions follow the herd until they know the hurt buff if a goner. Even if it is 5 hours later, they still eat.

  • I think that head lioness is a bit older and a bit smarter than the rest. She killed that buffalo like a pro after picking him out of a big tough herd, knowing she can come back later as long as the thing is dead or wounded. She has an actual IQ. Like I said, a pro...

  • If there were no predators take Yellowstone for example we exterminated all the predators and that made the prey over grays which then in return actually the prey ended up killing themselves because the planes and grasslands were completely desolate also everything else that comes with having predators it's the perfect balance so yes the Buffalo protect their own but yes predators are needed and are various sensual for a healthy ecosystem especially one like Africa where you have millions of grazers if there were no predators the grazers would return end up dying because they would completely overgraze and desolate the entire environment and end up starving to death Yellowstone is a great example if you want to see evidence of that whenever we reintroduced predators to Yellowstone in the US it became a natural ecosystem with beautiful life once again so if humans think killing all the predators is the answer it is not so this is needed it's the perfect balance and it's created to be self-sufficient nature.... Mother nature existed millions of years without man's intervention if you leave mother nature alone it will take care of itself they thought that was the answer and Yellowstone to exterminate all the wolves and then the environment suffered because the prey ended up actually killing themselves in the long run in other places where there isn't as much grazers humans have to hunt each year to have the population at a normal rate basically humans are taking place of the predators and that's why in places where there's not any predators because most of them are exterminated but there's not as many grazers humans can take that leap and basically hunt deer to try to get them as good as numbers as it would be as predators are there but these are small places we're not talking about places that have thousands of grazers if not millions either way predator is needed nature has been self-sufficient for millions of years I know people don't like seeing this but it is needed it's perfect

We are safe so can talk much bolder. Go and feel the threat 24*7on the ground, on the jungle. U beaf Eater u can't feel or understand pain of animals. I know the chain system so don't try to explain me. Lioness and buffalo are right at its place but your attitude is wrong. Jai Hind.
