Jon is such a humble guy, he always gives others the credit they deserve instead of it been all about him.
Appreciate Jon's shoutout to Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. The Jukes and the E-Street Band where interchangeable parts in the late 70's (with Little Steven and Max Weinberg playing for both). There was a lot of collaboration at the time that made Asbury Park a great escape from disco fever. And I always loved seeing La Bamba and the boys on Conan's show.

Love this story. I was an unpaid intern at a studio in NYC, and I got Jon Bon Jovi soup once! Fast forward 10 years, and I have two gold records for engineering hanging in my childhood home. From an early age, it paid off to always be around "the thing"

Found this online about the location of the recording; Under Pressure” was recorded in September 1981, at Mountain Studios, near where David Bowie was living at the time. He ended up jamming with Queen and one of the pieces they improvised around what was an unfinished Queen tune, with the working title “Feel Like”. David Bowie had very definite ideas on how he wanted the finished song to sound and insisted on being involved in the mixing process, which was completed a couple of weeks later at the Power Station studio, New York, USA, with Bowie, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury.
Bowie and Mercury didn’t record under pressure vocals together. They did their vocals separately. And they refused singing together at the live aid 85.
Mercury lived near the East River in a secure high rise in the upper 50's street.

They got that name from the studio. The founder and part owner of the studio was Tony Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi's cousin that he says he didn't know about until then in the interview.
Those glory days will never make a comeback. 60s,70s and 80s and some 90s.
Was in Seaside and saw Bon Jovi and everyone sitting at the guard station shooting video for In And Out Of Love. (I had the album)
A few years ago there used to be a GREAT video of Labamba and The Hubcaps playing live in Jersey in the 80s on KZhead, young Labomba dancing, singing many songs including "Move on Up" which they still play, young Mark Pender(WITH HAIR!) and others in the band as well, but unfortunately for some reason the video's been taken down.
Thank God Bruce Springsteen can still sing.

hi uncle Tony Bonjiovi ran the studio - he was a known recording engineer.
I remember as a young teen coming out of Robert Stigwood’s office in Brook Street London, with my then song writing partner and seeing Cream in the anti office waiting to see him. And my writing partner turning to them saying, “he’ll see you now”…I wanted to crawl into a hole…Yeah we were crap and never got anywhere.

They recorded it in Queen's own studio in Montreux, Switzerland but they may have done overdubs in Power Station, too, who knows. Not an unseen thing in top level recording projects. Give it to the guy. He's seen a lot and he may be recalling things differently in mash-up form as well.
