Wow! Mike and Sarah well done! Great adventure that included some risk and safe smart decisions! I took my 1965 17 ft Boston Whaler from RI to Key West in 2018 with a 70 hp Yamaha. Was certainly not trying to break any records but just needed an adventure. Took me 22 days on the water. These days I take an F62 Princess back and forth from Jamestown, RI to Sarasota, Fl. It's a bit more comfortable. Much respect!

@30:20... My wife and I just celebrated 24 years married, 25 years together. One of our fondest memories is one from just 5 years together, on a motorcycle, riding down the Columbia River Gorge. It lasted all of 5 seconds, but it was a moment of such beauty and shared love that it will remain with us until we lose our memories. She hugged me as we were riding along, and I pulled her left hand up to kiss her ring. As I turned my head to do that, a woman passing us in the left lane made eye contact with me. She was obviously traveling for business. She looked tired at first, but as she saw me kiss my wife's hand she got the most beautiful smile on her face... it was such a simple, brief moment in time, but it was so special. In the intervening 20 years there have been many such small moments. A day RVing through the Cascade mountains... warm, bright, and stunningly beautiful with fall colors. Kayaking on the Columbia River in NW Oregon with our daughter, surfing the waves off those same massive ships you were watching so carefully for. Of all the moments in this series... this moment meant the most. I grew up on sailboats and deep-hulled fishing boats. I love the ocean, but not at 100mph. I love the slow heavy surge and roll of a big displacement hull. I love the commitment and resilience you both showed each other though, and that's what made this special.

My uncle has a house on the Pamlico River just a few miles down river from the Fountain boat factory. Loved hearing and seeing those boats back in the late 80s and early 90s. Even got the pleasure to see a few of Reggie's race boats on shakedown runs. Congrats on beating the record. He is a competitive guy and much respect for beating his mark. I watched that documentary the other year.

48 year old in Jax, Fl who has been boating all my life. I live on the water. What y'all did... man, bucket list item. I'd even be happy at 10 knots too. Lol. Doing it with the one you love though makes it even better. We did a 7 week 9500 mile RV trip in 2015 with our 3 boys from Jax to Cali, Or, Wa, Mt, Tx, Az, Nm, Nv, etc. I felt Sarah talking about planning it and then being over. Y'all did an amazing job!! It Brought me right back to 2002 when my friend, Bill (D/Lt) and myself (SCPD Det) cruised my boat from Riverhead, NY to Charleston, SC when my boat broke down. My wife and I completed our adventure to North Palm Beach, FL. It was the Best Boat trip ever!

The place they stopped in Tybee was where I once stopped to get fuel. But they were closed. The dockmaster was on his way home going across the bridge saw me leaving. He turned around, got someone with a boat to chase me down, and let me know he would open for fuel! I've been going north and south 3-4 times a year like this for 25 years. From now on, I always stop there!

We topped off and made it to Charleston that night! 25 years as a delivery captain, and no one has chased me to sell fuel! What a guy!

I live vicariously through you now , I recently lost my beautiful wife to a catastrophic aneurism , we had plans to travel from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas on our jet boat . Those dreams are gone forever . love you videos and even more the love you two have and share with each other . i hope i can find that again in my life.
