Disclaimer: Please note that I am not sponsor by Ed Colors or by Mona Kissel nor do I get any type of commision in reviewing their machines. I just really wanted to invest in a better machine to use with polymer clay and when hearing about how you can customize the machine to the colors of your choice as well as the ease of removing the blades to clean, I just had to get this machine.

  • I've been working with clays for about 15 years and I love my Atlas. But this video proves no matter how long you've worked with something, you can always learn. With that I have to thank you soooooo much for sharing this. I am so tired of needing my husband to disassemble my machine just so I can clean it. I messaged Ed Colors and hope they still sell their modified 180's cause I need one! Thank you again for sharing.

  • I bought the brand of pasta machine that Hobby Lobby sells. I don’t think it makes an even thickness. Thank you for this demonstration. I think I will look for an Atlas.

    • Glad you found this video helpful. I think I bought the hobby lobby/Michael's version and it broke on me. The Atlas pasta machine was reconfigure for polymer clay users and with the removal blades..it's easier to clean removing old clay that may have been trapped.

  • I actually cringed when I saw you put that thick piece of clay through your machine on the thinnest setting. Just a tip - you should step down in clay thickness. If you want clay rolled out at setting 6, start with the thickest setting and roll through. Set your machine one thickness thinner then roll your clay through (don’t fold or ball it up again, roll it through just as it came out on the previous setting). Repeat the process stepping down one setting each time until you are at the thickness you want. There are lots of videos showing how. Please don’t stuff a thick piece of clay on a thin setting through your expensive machine! The gears will eventually strip and your machine will be ruined!
