  • I will admit, I usually root for the underdog when I don't know either participant in a matchup. And a middleweight vs a super-heavyweight should be the underdog. But as Minowa kept running and trying to hide behind the referee, I began to root for Zulu. If I wanted to see someone running laps, I would look for a track video.

    • He was smart, there's nothing you can do against an opponent with 2 to 3 times your mass and that has trained for years, even if your 2, 3 or 5 times more skilled. In fact he was only dumb to not have ran from the match itself. I feel for his poor skull. Dumb fck.

  • This is crazy & unfair! Always thought the figthers have to have nearly the same weight. The small guy had no chance. For me, HE is the winner for having guts to fight that RHINO!

    • In MMA it used to be no weight classes, now most fights and nearly all tournaments go after weight classes, after those rules only a 120kg+ guy would have fought this sumo Brazilian. The thing is, in a real life situation, there are no weight classes, on the other hand if you need to be double you're healthy weight to win a competition it's not right either.... I personally think you should have fights regardless of weight, but for tournaments/trophies the only fair thing is to have opponents with very similar weight

  • I love all the comments from people who have no idea how this sport even works. Minowa beat the hell out of guys this size multiple times. People talking about how he ran around the ring like that was a bad thing. He was trying to gas the bigger fighter while looking for an opening for leg strikes. This fight could have EASILY gone the other way... as it did many times with better fighters who were just as big. MMA became hugely popular because smaller guys were beating bigger guys all the time using skill and strategy. Watch more of the sport before commenting -- this isn't boxing.
