@@aftershock7064 I'd highly recommend you watch his latest video on the crew. It's more about making a concentrated push with as many people as possible to as many governments as possible to try and get their relevant agencies to address the issue. I probably didn't explain it very accurately, but getting eyes on it is important because it needs the public to actually work. I highly recommend you take a look when you can.

I remember coming home from school 10 or 11 years ago to watch your The Crew Beta videos., specifically Yosemite drifting with the Dirt spec Skyline because that was all we had at the time I remember my mates coming to my house and taking turns on my Xbox 360 steering wheel, trying to get it our car to stay straight (we couldn't lmao) I remember playing online with friends that I had bumped into in-game by chance, those people are still on my Facebook today and I still talk to them pretty regularly I remember grinding Highway Child, the hour-long Circuit spec race that gave you loads of money for finishing it This game has so many memories man. The Crew 2 took it in a completely different direction, and honestly I dropped Motorfest after a week. Maybe it's just because I'm a lot older now, but regardless of the reason, The Crew 1 will always be my favorite. Not just for the great story, but for the great soundtrack, and the most detailed map (TC2 REMOVED YOSEMITE LIKE WTF???) I'm gonna miss it dearly. Thank you Ivory Tower

There simply isn't a game at the moment that's as vast as The Crew 1. The number of countless hours I've spent simply driving all over the US (shout out to the randoms who I made friends and drove together with) was insane and I made so many unforgettable memories....honestly it brings tears to my eyes that such a wonderful game won't be playable anymore :(( RIP The Crew - we'll miss you...

Facts. Everyone just seems to copy the Forza festival thing, it's so overplayed and boring. No variety in gaming anymore because no matter what genre, everyone just basically copies each other rather than coming up with their own unique ideas.

The crew 1 was how I found out about your channel back then and have enjoyed your content since. I loved this game and the encounters you could have with randoms such as hitting the dunes in offroad vehicles. Idk why but going down the ski slope with multiple others was hella fun.
Games like this should never die, instead it could've moved to a less (if not free) expensive alternative.
The Crew is a game that I've wanted to play since 2014 considering that I've been into open-world racing games since the days of Vette and Test Drive III: The Passion for MS-DOS on PC. But I've never touched any game in the Crew series because of the online-only requirement, since I still, to this day, refuse to spend money on any videogame with an expiration date of whenever the online servers are shut down. No offline, no buy (and that means you too, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown).
Same here. Solar Crown is particularly painful for me. I've been waiting many years for a new Test Drive.
Never was a big fan of the Crew but seeing the car parts, tire's cylinders, and spring move around off the car was amazing

The Crew is a brilliant game which I have many memories from! The open world street-racing genre needed this game at the time in 2014. It was my first game for PS4 as well and I loved it from the start; especially the map. The Crew 1 and 2 are some of my favourite racing games of all time. So sad it won’t be supported much longer! I hopped on again today after a long time and I’m amazed how good it looks to this day! The colours, shading and textures while driving through NYC look really beautiful, I prefer how it looks even to The Crew 2. I really hope the next The Crew game will go back to its roots and be set in USA again instead of just Hawaii, and with less of a festival emphasis.
Yeah the graphics and map design looks much better in The Crew 1. Second game looks more cartoonish and cities looks like cardboard mockup and the road system was awful in some places.
Despite I only played this game in a couple of months (I started in 2016, but the lag on my old laptop meant that the game was unplayable and I never visit it 'til 7 years later in 2023), I'll still miss this game.
As a kid back then I wanted a game like this where you drive across the USA and this was my answer too that I have so many fond memories of this game I will miss it
This was probably going to be the final frontier of what was a good game. Not just racing game. But something everyone could jump into, car geek or not. I think it's how I got my Brothers into cars too...
I really enjoyed this game, The Crazy cars you could turn into offroaders, like the camaro's and the Rufs. It was also Hilarious to see a Ford Raptor and Dodge Ram Circuit Spec. But what I love the most about this game is the scenery of the whole USA, The Story mode and how you can find Hidden Car Wrecks. The CGI Cutscenes in the game were like if you mixed the Crew's Cutscenes with NFS Rivals to make the most awesome Thriller Rivalry Racing story. I want more of The Crew 1 Racing game like style, a Cheesy, But very dark story for a racing game. Where you go undercover for Revenge
The best part of the crew for me was grinding for max Perf on all my cars, especially when they changed it to be over 1000, also loved going for platinum in pvp races, we need more of this in the future! RIP crew 😢

i remember playing this for hundred of hours with my best friend back in like 2015/16, so many good memories.. what a game
This game is like a PS4 version of TDU. The content was great in terms of cars, map, customization, game modes. There was so much to do. Unfortunately the cars felt a lot lower quality compared to TDU and the handling was very basic but at least wasn't break to drift.
NFS: Payback is the only game that gives me a Crew 1 feel with the story.
This is the only Crew title where you had a "crew" with you that was accompanied with a decent story. TC2 and TCM really do lose their meaning since they started to follow the "perfect world/Horizon" experience

So many memories, so much time just cruising around the map and enjoying it🥺 The Crew was one of my first games on the PS4 and I’m not gonna lie, I will miss it😭 I really hope that somebody will make a custom server and keep this masterpiece alive like other legendary games (NFS World, TDU2, …). Also just because of this beautiful game I was one of the first to run and buy The Crew 2 and I’m happy that I got to enjoy the first Crew while it was on its peak😍 Also, Theo, I probably would’ve never bought it if I wasn’t your subscriber since that time. So also a big thank you to you❤

Hope this is not a trend we see with other online based games. Need for Speed 2015 is also online based and what happens when EA decides to shut down their servers? Everyone should follow Polyphony’s lead with Gran Turismo Sport as they introduce an offline update to allow us to continue using single player mode.
nfsmw12 is still up so i think they will just leave it on shitty servers… it seems like that’s already the situation

the crew was the first game that brought me into arcade racing games, although i never played it sadly and might never will, the videos that I watch of this game was the reason why I started playing arcade racing games, it was one of the games that I wanted to play when i first bought my ps4 in 2019 but I chose the crew 2 instead, man i will miss this game.

That 3rd person camera you're using though! Of the three 3rd person camera options, the last 2 don't follow the car so well, but the 1st one does. I never used the 2 "floppy follow" ones.
I remember being 10 years old playing this then a few years later the crew 2 came out and completely talked trash about this games handling and graphics and praising the crew 2 but then when I played the crew motorfest I went back to the crew 1 had so much fun then two weeks later they announced that they were shutting down glad i still played again just sucks that it being shut off with no offline mode

This is what worries me about NFS Rivals. Growing up in the 2010s, that alongside fh2 were core memories of my younger self. I never experienced any of the Crew titles, but I get that same feeling with Rivals. There’s a reason that Rivals is probably my favorite game of all time

The thing that separates The Crew from all other racing games is that the tachometer/speedometer is on the bottom left of the HUD and the mini map is on the bottom right.

I just went back to this game yesterday.. and man this sucks that it's shutting down. Such a great game and it's a great game lost... will be highly missed and would easily be a game that can be played off-line for the story and cops. This needs to change

I'm glad I backed up my game install and dumped my savefile on PC, I'm ready to wait until whatever the community is coming up with gets released so we can keep playing past its execution.

As much as i love Motorfest, i have a lots of memories with TC1, i hate that IVT took the decition to shut it down with no offline patch *You were goo son, real good! Maybe even the best!*

I remember buying this game for Xbox 360 and being really surprised that they were able to port it all to console with insanely small amount of RAM. Not only that, it was one of the best modern racing games I've played because it had its own style, identity and clearly was trying to be different from its main rivals back at the time. Even tho the graphics overhaul was also amazing for it, I prefered the old HUD and graphics because of its underground style (luckily, X360 version stayed the same). What Ubisoft is doing right now is essentially robbing their customers out of possibly 40 dollars they've spent on this game during its launch and I don't even know why. It literally set so many standards for further entries in the franchise and even other popular racing games. While I do like Motorfest, I can't call it TC because it is just straight off 1:1 copy of Forza Horizon (I get it that they're trying to replicate the style for PlayStation players but just). The Online only situation is still bad complimented by its DRM. I'm still glad that there are people working on bypassing the DRM and keeping the game offline like some did with NFS World.

Thanks to your previous video about this game shutting down for ever, ive finished this game recently before it is gone, and playing it near its end of life I've noticed that no one plays PvP, so from my experience ill call this game "the solo"😅
